Name: Tony "Big T" Johnson
Hometown: Pearl River, Mississippi
Entrance Music: Some Bodies gonna get it - Three 6 Mafia
Fighting Specialty: Powerhouse
Finishing Maneuver: Tigerbomb 3 (Pearl River Plunge)
Bio:
Although the wrestling business has seen a lot of powerhouse come and go, for about a dime a dozen there are some that stick out. Some that demand and captivate attention just by walking into the arena. With no need for long drawn out speeches about how they are simply the best or how they will do this or that. Men that walk down the ramp and show that actions speak louder then words. This man Tony Johnson hopes to be one of those very few men. Like his trainer and mentor Tony Norris...AKA Ahmed Johnson. Hailing from the same town as said individual Tony grew up is relatively stable environment with a father who had been a local football hero. Young Anthony though wanted to be a wrestler. He grew up watching guys like JYD, Ernie Ladd, Koko B. Ware, Tony Atlas. He idolized those great legends. He shared a common link with them that should be apparent if you pay attention . During his high school years though he saw the one wrestler that would become his hero of sorts. Ahmed Johnson. A take no prisoners smash mouth quiet powerhouse Who took the wrestling world by storm in the early nineties. Again maybe it was that link that drew him to him but there was also another link that drew him to him. They were both rather large muscular quiet men. Tony never really spoke much. Only when he really felt he needed to, he let his performance on the football field speak for him. His naturally large size and quickness made him a standout like his father had been before him. He played dual roles as the team's leading linebacker and running back. Leading the team to titles all four year he was on the team. When he graduated he was flooded with offers from colleges eager to get their hands on a blue chipper like him. Offering him cash, cars, women...anything he could dream of.
That's not what he wanted though. he wanted to follow his dream of stepping into the ring like his heros of the past had. He would give up that life to train with his hero to become a Pro Wrestler. His training was hard and long. He hadn't just stopped with Ahmed though. He sought out all of the heros he had that were still living to try and get at least a small amount of training from them as well. A few bit and gave him the help he sought. When his training was complete he stayed in the minor small time indy promotions. Even going to Japan for a short time. Overall he was well received by many of the fans. Unlike a lot of wrestlers today he saw his place, and kept to it, biding his time trying to get as good as he could before moving up to the 'big time'.
Feeling that it was now or never Tony decides to give the Chicago based 'Global Championship Wrestling a try...to see if he really did have what it took to get his name to be associated with those of the current and past legends.
