The William James story begins in the 'Windy City' of Chicago, IL....
As a child, young William had a very hard time growing up. A social outcast some would say, was the way he lived. School was very hard for him. Bullies would pick on him daily, and his grades were not very good. He would skip school and head down to the neighborhood park and hide out until dark, until it was time to go home, or what he had to call home.
His home life was a mess. His mother died upon his birth, due to complications. The only person he had was his father, an abusive drunk, both physically and mentally. When his father wasn't hitting him, he would be telling young William how stupid he was and that he was the reason that his mother died.This hurt William very much, but he kept it all inside...until one day he decided, after 16 years of abuse, that he had had enough and ran away from home.
No where for him to go, living on the streets was not easy for William. He found odd jobs cleaning local pool halls and taverns, but nothing ever paid much money. He moved from hotel to hotel, until the money ran out, and then he would be on his way again. At 19, he found a job as a roadie for a local punk band just starting out. Playing in some very seedy bars, every night there would be a fight or two, he would find his way into. He would win some, and he would lose some, but mostly he would win. William would never back down from a fight, no matter how bad the situation was. He would find a way to win, no matter what. If it took taking a bar stool or beer bottle to someone, that is what he did. William was out to prove he was not the 'stupid waste of a life' that his father had called him for so many years.
The band never did pan out, but out of that situation, an opportunity presented itself. Working at one of the last shows, William saw a flier for VWE. "VWE, what is this?" he asked himself. He never heard of VWE before, but it looked interesting. "I have no training, only what I've learned out on the road, but this could be the answer to the life I've been looking for...." He then looked up the VWE and put in his application to join....

GCW - Era

After finding he could find success in VWE/WTF, WJ decided to branch out and further develop his talents in a new federation. The GCW was just what he was looking for. A federation based out of his hometown, and close enough to his 'other' job, where he can still continue to work for 'them' as well.
Only time will tell if he finds success in the GCW, or if this is a mistake taking on to much at one time....
