Chicago Is Now Home (O2A)

[Avenger]

The Avenger holds the contract that he signed with Chicago as he is in his home in Miami, Florida. He begins walking in his big house as he sits on his leather couch as he plays the footage of his time in Atlanta and Memphis. He reminisces on all the matches and on all the highs and lows of his career. He then looks at the titles in his "trophy case" and wonders what is next for him. As he debates things his phone rings.

Hey man glad you called. Just sitting here going over things and seeing how this business has made me a popular wrestler with things that could never come my way otherwise. You see the Avenger sits and has made a real tough decision and that is to walk away from his past and his present to make the journey of his future. Just sitting at home and got my bags packed ready to make the trip to Chicago.

Yeah it is hard looking back but the thing about the Avenger is that it is time to move on and to make destruction in another location. It is time that the Avenger break ties on what was once good and will remain in me. But it is time to forget the past and reinvent the man that is still living in me. And it is time that the Avenger get on that plane and make it like old times. Now can you call me in about 12 hours. I need to get on that plane and get ready for my future.

The Avenger hangs up the phone and a limo picks him up to take him to the airport. He lands at "O'Hare" and GCW escorts drive him to his hotel. The Avenger unpacks his bags and just relaxes for a few moments until he opens up his "wrestling" bag and contemplates.

He sees the "trench coat" that was his marquee symbol as well as his attire and face paint in the bag. He takes them all out and puts them on the bed all spread out and stares at them all evenly.

Many people know who the Avenger is and what the Avenger sees is what made him into what he is. It is time that Chicago knows what makes the Avenger "tick." And it starts at "Exodus." It starts with not making a name for myself since the Avenger does not need an introduction in the civilized world. It is time the Avenger brings to Chicago what he brought to Memphis and Atlanta. It is time that the Avenger does what he does best and that is bring "Pain and Retribution" to what ales the Avenger.

The Avenger holds the trench coat in the air.

The trademark of the Avenger. And how fitting that it will be the trademark that will carry me to the millennium. But of course this time it will be "marked" to be what the Avenger is all about and those that know me will know that a change is coming and certainly here in Chicago as well.

The Avenger drops the coat and picks up the attire.

The black wrestling gear that made the cold, black heart into the "scary man" and to the man that walked "alone" and took his revenge and aggression on those in his path. With those "symbolic" crosses indicating what happens to those in the path of the Avenger and those same "crosses" that the Avenger bears within his own soul. It is time that those "crosses" mean more and by God they will in Chicago.

The Avenger drops the attire and grabs the face paint.

Many don't know the man behind the mask. Many don't know what is under the skin but know the eyes and determination. The "paint" has surely made the man into the "Myth" and "Legend." It is time that the "Myth and Legend" run wild here in Chicago. It is time the Avenger released all of his energy and frustration on those that oppose the Avenger. It is time for the Avenger because it is the Avenger's time.

And with that said the Avenger knows he has some acquaintances from the past and surely they want to see and want to know what is next. They want to know if the Avenger can bring it like he did in the South. They want to know if the Avenger is the "Killer of Killers" or just another guy that couldn't cut the mustard. By God it is the Avenger's time and time for the Avenger's transgressions to be nullified and it begins when the Avenger makes his appearance for Chi-Town. They have heard of Chi-Town Heat and with God as the Avenger's witness they have not seen anything yet.

The Avenger's time is now and now is the time for the Avenger to make an "Impact."

The phone rings as the Avenger is still holding the face paint and wondering who is on the other line.

[brandonpayne]

On the other line is an 'old friend' of The Avenger's. Sitting inside his limo after dropping Stacie at the hotel. Brandon Payne dials his number and waits for an response. Hoping he would pick up. But why would BP want to call him up ? Is BP even aware that Avenger is going to also be competeting in GCW ?

<Brandon Payne> - (Mutters to himself) Come on, pick up ! Wait, maybe he's busy over in Memphis with something ? Bah ! Who knows with him. Probably winning another World Title or something lol.

[Avenger]

As the Avenger hears the phone ring, he walks towards the phone wondering who it is on the other end. He was unaware that anyone knew he was in Chicago. He is reluctant to answer the phone but a friendly voice would be nice. He walks over to the phone with the face paint in his right hand and lifts the phone with the left hand. Without saying a word for a few seconds as he just listens to who is on the other line.

Wow you called me back real fast. The Avenger was just on the phone with you in Miami. You sure know how to predict when to call and how to find me.

The Avenger waits but realizes that this is not the same man he talked to in Miami. He wonders who is on the other line and what he is going to say to him.

After hearing those words, BP just grinned as he responded.

<Brandon Payne> - Some "dude from Miami" huh ? Sorry to bust your balls but, this is somebody you haven't heard from in a LONG time... This is Genesis, but you can call me Brandon Payne or BP for short.

When was the last time we talked ?? I think it had to be back in April over in Atlanta. I haven't seen or heard from you since so I thought I call you just to see if you were still alive or not.

So, what have you been up to these days huh ? As for me. Believe it or not. I'm sitting outside some dumpy hotel in my limo over in Chicago, Illinois of all places. I'm here on a business deal. I may just be getting back into the ring really soon. I haven't been inside the squared circle since this past August.

Am I interrupting anything by the way ?? You asked if I was somebody else lol.

[Avenger]

Avenger listens to the voice and is surprised but satisfied at the same time.

No its cool dude. The Avenger just cut a deal in Chicago as well. The point of the matter is that we all "Circle The Wagons" if you know what the Avenger is talking about. It seems that it will be great to kick it old school style here in Chi-Town with at least one friendly face. The point of the matter is that the Chicago based company has signed the Avenger to a very lucrative offer. Probably in the neighborhood of what they signed you for the Avenger is assuming. The bottom line is that the Avenger's time in Atlanta was a pretty good one but the time is for him to move on.

That is why the Avenger has struck a deal to be "Exclusive" to GCW here in Chicago. No hard feelings or anything on the "Atlanta" experience because it is the birth of the Avenger. But as we change so does the surroundings but from what the Avenger has gathered there are some familiar faces in here. But as we have had the best of times as well as some times that we both went toe to toe with one another, that my friend is a growing experience for the both of us. And yeah, the Avenger has not heard or seen much of you either so it is a great chance for us to kick back and see what gives.

The Avenger knows you have had a very successful career and only wishes the best for you in your career. And with that said GCW has offered to put me in this great hotel and gave me the 5 star treatment. Flew me in on their personal leer jet. The gave me a 5 star hotel and drove me first class in a limo that is as big as some houses. The Avenger can say they treated me well and this is a great organization from the way the Avenger sees things so far.

Now with that said are you in GCW and what have you been up to? Just passed a few guys in the hallway at this grand hotel. Some saw me and was surprised to see me here. Just wondering what you are up to?

Avenger waits to hear from Brandon Payne

BP, leans back in his seat as he is shocked to learn that his former comrad has just receieved a job in GCW as well. Which means the two would be working together .

Payne pondered whether this was a good thing or a bad thing. The two men, who were widely known as two of Atlanta's best. Both men had there fair share of ups and downs together.

Memories began to playback in BP's mind. Remembering the days of The ReVolution and The Ultimate Alliance. The two groups whom both had been a strong part of. In ReVolution. Avenger led the ship and played a huge part in jump starting the former Genesis' career.

On the other hand...

The Ultimate Alliance was a big failure. During those days, the two men couldn't stand one another because of there huge ego's.

So with that in mind...

Its not too surprising that BP has at least a little resentment towards Avenger. Avenger helped his career in a lot of ways. In others, BP felt overshadowed by him. But nevertheless, Brandon Payne 'bit his tongue' on this one and decided to play this situation cool:

<Brandon Payne> - WOW.... your telling me your with GCW too ? Damn..... I had no idea man. But hey, congratulations on that. I'm sure we both are getting paid pretty well as you have said.

And no hard feelings on my end either from the 'old days'...

Payne says as he grins and clinches his fist. Knowing just how bad he would just like to yell and scream at him. Part of this was anger and also... part envy.

BP had a choice this time around. Either play the lackey role of the old days or find a way to truly 1-up his former mentor and partner.

<Brandon Payne> - So......anyways lol. You say you got the "5-Star" treatment ? That is great man... You really hit the jackpot with that ! I defenitly hear ya on that one bro haha !

(Puts the cell phone down and mutters To himself afterwards)

<Brandon Payne> - 5-Star Treatment ? What the FUCK ! Sheeesh ! He gets all of that special treatment, and I get stuck on a train with negative nancy for ten hours ? And all because little Stacie had to get her 'hair" done ? I swear.... some people just have it made these days !

Brandon regains composure and continues his conversation with Avenger.

<Brandon Payne> - As for me, I've done quite well for myself. I left Atlanta and headed for other area's. Like New York, Toronto, & Ohio. Had some fun there and enjoyed my stays. I came very close to signing a deal in Memphis before I heard about this place.

And I gotta tell ya... the money they offered for me to come here was MIND BOGGELING ! I'm getting paid twice as much as I did in those other places. I honestly haven't run into anybody just yet, but I'm sure I will.

On the other hand...

Besides getting these jobs. My wrestling career has took somewhat of a 'downward spiral' and I'm hoping to get back on track before I fly completely off of it if you know what I'm sayin' ?

Me and Sabrina split up officially last July. I'm with this new girl named Stacie. She's pretty cool I must say. I met her after leaving New York in a small town outside of Manhatten. Things have been going well for me with that.

But... otherwise. My career feels rather empty these days. I never could achieve the same amount of success in those other places and hope things can be different here in Chicago.

I wanna prove to everyone that I'm not some 'flash in the pan' guy who came and went. I don't want to be referred to as that guy who....

Brandon, once again, has to restrain himself from putting the proverbial 'foot in mouth' as he started to say:

(Mutters To Himself)

<Brandon Payne> - The last thing I want to be referred to is the guy who used to be Avenger's 2nd elsewhere.

Brandon, once again, calms himself down and asks Avenger:

<Brandon Payne> - So man.... did you say you was already in Chicago ? Where are you exactly ? Maybe we could catch up somewhere and hang out like the old days ?

I'm bored and Stacie is already in bed asleep at our hotel. And I'm not the least bit tired. Had to ride on a freakin' slower then hell train all because of her ;D . Makes me wish sometimes I was single again lol.

Brandon awaits a response.

The Avenger listens to Brandon Payne and lets in on where he is going.

The Avenger can totally understand your travels as you have been a busy man ever since you departed from "Atlanta." And of course there are no hard feelings with the Avenger at all. The Avenger is not one to hold grudges as we both have had our share of bad times but more good times. And since the Avenger is in town then we can surely catch up and see what each other has been doing. The Avenger heard you had great success in the places you have traveled and knows that you want to knock the roof out of GCW as well. So the Avenger is all for catching up and surely you are trying to get a break from Stacie as well. And since the Avenger knows Mike Ditka personally then how about you catch up with me there? Already got a table and we get to have a sit down with a legend in Mike Ditka. Matter of fact some other legends will be there like Michael Jordan.

I can really say why GCW didn't lay out the red carpet for you? You are a big name as well and a great addition to this company. Maybe having Stacie who seems to be "High Maintenance" could be the reason why. From what the Avenger could tell from GCW is that they are top notch organization and a place that knows how to treat their superstars. Now the Avenger has to iron out the preliminaries but it seems that the Avenger will be making his debut real soon. But enough of that really. What do you say BP? How about you and the Avenger catch a bite tonight? The Avenger will be at "Ditka's" at 8pm tonight. If you want the Avenger will make the phone call and get us a great table and the Avenger knows that Ditka is a huge wrestling fan and would love to throw around a few sound bites with us. So what do ya say BP? Are you coming or what?

<Brandon.Payne> - Hmmmmm.

*Lowers his cell phone and begins to think to himself*

<Brandon.Payne> - Lets see... should I or shouldn't I accept Sebastian's offer ?? Quite tempting I must say. Well... Stacie is already in bed I'd say by now. I doubt she'd want to go out with me. Plus, it would give me a chance to see what he may have planned so I can make 'my move' more easier !

*BP gets back on the phone with Avenger*

<Brandon.Payne> - Alright man, I can meet you there. No problem at all. I can be there in the next 10-15 mins. Is that cool with you ?

[Avenger]

Yeah dude. The Avenger knows it may be hard to recognize me when you get there. It will be the big guy with no face paint on. Since this is a catch up phase then we can catch up and perhaps conduct some business as well. Already got the table and as you know the Avenger has the "411" on that as well. The people at "Ditka's" know that you are coming and they will escort you to the main table. Hold on a second someone is knocking at the door.

The Avenger looks and it is the secretary from the lobby to give him a note. The Avenger reads it and has a "heelish" look about him.

Sorry about that BP. Just got to call someone important maybe tomorrow about some wrestling interviews, photoshoots, and financial investments. Not a big deal but the Avenger will catch you there in about 20 minutes. Should be great to catch up with ya on stuff. Talk to you then?

The Avenger's mind is on the note and if BP is the guy he met at an early age of his career or the man that he had so many battles with.

<Brandon.Payne> - Cool Cool. That'll work my brother...

*BP thinks to himself once more as he feels something just isn't right about this*

<Brandon.Payne> - Hmmm. Is it just me or did Sebastian seem a little strange just now ? Wonder what he could be up to ? Well, regardless. I best keep my guard up and be prepared for anything. I WON'T let him 1-up me again. No... I CAN'T let him do that... If he does it again... I'll be NOTHING ! Just like I was in the old days. Being compared to Sebastain back then was like beating that fella Chet Dixon in a match, no contest !

But... I must keep my cool and not to act like anything is up. If I slip even in the least. He may catch on to me and then, my plans will be SCREWED !

*BP gets back on the phone with Sebastian*

<Brandon.Payne> - Alright man, I'm going to go ahead and jump off here. I'll meet you at Ditka's here in a bit... later !

*BP hangs up his phone and tells the limo driver the following*

<Brandon.Payne> - Driver... take me to a place called "Ditka's" ! I'm meeting an 'old friend' there. We have a few 'things' to work out /

Limo - Yes sir ! Ditka's it is then !

*The limo speeds out of the parking lot as BP makes his way towards "Ditka's".*
