"Damn. Another one. What's going on with me?"
Crysstal stepped down the ring steps after taking her third defeat in a row. It left a sour taste in her mouth just like the previous ones did. Every lost she had taken since signing with the small wrestling company had made her feel like she wasn't ready to jump into the big leagues, but this one probably had the most effect on her.
She had thought she was headed to a point where she could turn things around for her win/loss record here. But the more she wrestled the more the losses came. She was confused now. What was she doing wrong? And if she ever figured out what, how would she know how to turn things around.
It was harder to keep peace of mind now. If not for the fans who cheered her no matter what, she doubted she'd even still be doing the wrestling thing at this point.
She just made her way up the ramp with her head down and her hands on her hips, shaking her head in disbelief over the loss. She hated to think what her trainer would think about what she was doing right now.
She knew he'd be disappointed in her in ring skills lacking the way they were. And she honestly couldn't blame him if he did. She needed to re-focus on things. Get more in tune with her craft and see if she couldn't recapture that fire that she used to feel about wrestling. It was fading. Fading fast and she wasn't sure what she could do to regain that fire again.
Before long she was stepping to the backstage area, thinking, wondering just what her problem was, how to fix it and how to even get her mind ready for something so brutal and unforgiving as the wrestling business was. She needed a break. Some time away maybe. Maybe she'd call up one of her old friends and see if the time away with someone she was familiar with would help. Yea. She'd try that. It was at least worth giving a try. God knows things couldn't get worse for her with the way she felt.
Next it was off to the women's locker room to get cleaned up, into some clean clothes and off to see if she could get in contact with her old friend. Hopefully she was somewhere close enough where they could meet.
