He found the place. It was here. Right on the street Joe said it would be. Standing outside of the GCW Tower. He looked up at it. The building was tall. He expected it to be. Well, no time like the present. He began to walk forward toward the entrance. Tattered and beat up suitcase in hand. Stepping through the door, he simply just stopped and paused for a moment. Looking around. This was it. This was the place. The letter "GCW" were here and there. The words "Global Championship Wrestling" were there. This was the place. He needed to make sure before heading any further. It'd be bad to start questioning people about GCW and be in the wrong place. He found a front desk. There was a young woman behind it. Blonde hair, blue eyes, probably just hit her 20's, dressed in a fine black and white suit, black framed glasses resting on her face... That was definitely the business type. Probably knows everything about the place. She must if they placed her at a desk once you arrive in the building. He stepped forward. Slowly approaching the desk. The sound of his footsteps against the floor caught her attention. It was quiet. He didn't want to startle her but she noticed him first. For a brief second, a very brief second, he caught the reaction on her face when she first saw him. Shocked. She knows him perhaps? Or maybe it's just his appearance? He wasn't necessarily dressed his best. Torn, dirty, and plenty of holes. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt that looked like someone dragged it through the city dump. His pants looked like they've gone way past their expiration date, if they had one. His dusty, old work boots looked like they've run their course in the life of a construction worker. Black leather gloves rested on his hands that looked like they've been taken out of the trash. Of course, he was not dressed his best. And having pale skin and dark rings around his eyes wasn't very appealing neither. You'd be shocked too if you seen this man approach you.
"Hey. I was wondering. Could you possibly point me in the direction of the person or people who run this place?"
Front Desk Girl: "Uh... Yeah..."
She turned around in her seat and looked back. There was a hall around the corner from her desk. In that hall, were two elevators. She pointed off at the hallway, and then responded to him...
Front Desk Girl: "If you head down this hall here... There's a couple of elevators... You take one up to the top floor..."
Pausing for a brief moment. She turned around to face him again. Then she continued. Trying not to make eye contact with him and trying not to stare.
Front Desk Girl: "When you get there... You take a left.... You'll come to a hall with some yellow flowers on a table.... If you take a right... You'll find the office of Ms. Amanda Wallace... Not too far from there... You'll also find the office of Ms. Candice Angel... You can't miss it...."
Those named. He was familiar with those names before. He's heard them before. Seen the two women in the flesh before plenty of times. Probably wasn't on their good side that he remembered. Either way, he knew them. They probably remember him. This could prove to be interesting. He nodded to the woman.
"Thank you."
He then began to make his way toward the elevator. Hitting the button with the arrow pointing Up. He stood there for a moment. Awaiting for the elevator to come down to pick him up. The bell ringed. The doors opened. People were exiting the elevator. But not before they gave him the same facial expression as the woman at the front desk. The people tried not to stare and got off the elevator trying to act casual. They were in suits. If not suits, they had collared shirts and ties. Probably holding office jobs. Controlling things within the company. They didn't matter to him. He stepped onto the elevator and looked down at the number. Finding the highest one, he pushed it's button and stood up straight. Leaning back against the elevator wall, he watched the doors slide shut and begin to get ready to lift him to the top floor. Typical elevator music was playing. It didn't take too long for the elevator to reach it's destination. Once the elevator had made it to the top floor, the bell ringed, and the doors slid open. He took his suitcase by his side and stepped off of the elevator. Looking to his right. A table with orange flowers. He looked to his left. A table with yellow flowers. Bingo. The front desk girl wasn't lying. He made his left. Stopped at the table with flowers. Then he made his right. Heading down the hall. Passing by several doors. He looked at them. None read Candice Angel or Amanda Wallace. He looked forward. He saw a door at the end of this hall. And survey says... It's Amanda Wallace's office. Here we are. The moment of truth. The time was now. Mentally preparing for what awaits him behind this door as he walked the hall towards it. He stopped at the door. Took a deep breathe. Sighed lightly. Here goes nothing. He brought his hand up to the door. Made a fist. Knocked several times with the back of his knuckles. Then he awaited an answer from inside...
