October 31st, 2007 - Heading Out Of Detroit
<·†·>Well, that was it huh? Her time as a wrestler in Detroit came to an end after only a couple of short months. Did anyone in the crowd take notice of her? Call her skilled? Even adopt her as their favorite? Bonnie didn't know at all. She sighed out slowly as she laid her head against the window of the bus, looking out of it. It was night time, so, she couldn't see much other than what the car lights behind the bus revealed. It's destination? Heading towards Ely, Nevada. Her hometown that she left behind. Though, she didn't expect to return to it so soon. She sighed again, she would have taken a plane, but didn't exactly like flying, had a fear of it. Always feared being up so high in a mechanical bird of sorts. People always said they were safe, that they don't crash that often, but she still had the fear. She sometimes had dreams of being on a plane and it exploding due to some mishap, or it crashing, she always woke up in a bad, cold sweat because of it.
She sighed once again as she looked to her right, she had a partner along for this ride, in the seat next to her. It was a very small elderly woman, at least in her late 70's or early 80's. The old woman was sleeping. Bonnie was too stressed to sleep. She was seriously depressed about Full Contact Wrestling going out of business. It was the only big time company that gave her a chance. She had begun wondering if it was because it was going out of business that Miss Wallace and the staff of Full Contact Wrestling gave her a chance. That was really no way to think though, now was it? She didn't have the best record, well, she didn't really have a record. One official loss, one official win. Both in a tournament. Oh, well, them's the breaks, right? Of course.
She laid her head back against the soft cushioned seat of the bus as it hit something on the road a pothole, or maybe road kill, forcing her to jump a bit in her seat, she swore under her breath about it before laying her head back against the head of the seat once more. The driver got on the intercom and apologized for that, also saying he hoped it brought no one any discomfort, even though he knew full well it did. She looked to the front of the bus. The driver? Typical type of bus driver, slightly overweight, unkempt black curly hair. You always see the type in the movies, kind of funny how sometimes movies can portray reality. Well, at least as far as people go. She cut her eyes to the side, looking at the elderly woman next to her, a faint noise was coming from her. She was snoring. Bonnie just smiled before closing her own eyes, she would force herself to sleep if she had to. This was going to be a long, long trip after all.<·†·>
November 1st - Ann Arbor Bus Station
<·†·>The bus pulled into the station in Ann Arbor around 7:40 AM. Bonnie was already awake, the elderly woman next to her was still snoring away. She had thought about waking the woman, however, she felt that would be rude and decided against it. Let the woman get the sleep she needs. The bus driver announced they would be taking a short break here, so, if they had anything to do, go do it, then get back on the bus by 9 AM or be left behind. Bonnie stood up slowly and grabbed her duffel bag from the floor, just in case she did miss the call. Slinging it over her shoulder as she walked down the aisle and off the bus. She went inside the station and got a soda, 7-UP, from the soda machine and a bag of sour cream and onion potato chips from the snack machine. Not the best breakfast, but it'd do. She moved over to one of the chairs inside the building and took a seat. Some people stared at her, her body size, physique and height must be the reason, it didn't bother her any. She just ignored it.
She popped open the bag of chips and took a few out, popping them into her mouth as she sat the bag down on her lap, opening the can of soda and taking a sip. She sighed out before looking to her left, at the newspaper stand next to the chair. Picking one of them up she began to look through it, not looking for anything in particular, but just looking through it out of boredom. She yawned out loud as she turned the page, skimming over it with her eyes. Nothing interesting really. Turning the page once more she saw nothing of interest. She sighed and closed the paper, tossing it back into the stand, not caring if it landed neatly or not. She didn't get much sleep on the bus. Too bumpy for her. Her eyes felt heavy, like some unknown force was pushing on them, trying to close them. Ah... just a few minutes shut eye wouldn't hurt, would it? No, no it wouldn't. She fell asleep a few moments after she closed her eyes. She slept peacefully, dreaming a pleasant dream as she did. She missed the bus and the elderly woman who was next to her the entire time, died of a heart attack twenty minutes after the bus pulled out of the station.<·†·>
