GCW: To be, or not to be? That is the question....

lulz, I know, but from I've gathered from most folks, is wins and loses don't really mean much to them.

Some don't even watch the matches.

I figured, a thought out loss or win against someone I'm feuding with could help make that feud all the more believable and stronger.

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong?

I've always looked at simmed e-feds as being utterly unpredictable. It's what I find really appealing about them. You can build a great moveset, but that possibility of losing is still there. You role-play the result of the match in regards to how the match turned out. Ala, how the thread/feud/relationship goes is determined by the game. It's one reason why I had XSE's fate be determined by a match, it made the match that more entertaining to watch. "Is Kaori going to win? Is she going to lose? What do I do if she loses?" were all thoughts going through my mind as I watched Fubuki Snow destroy her.

Having planned losses and victories just kills that completely.

A gimmick PPV or two could be very fun. Good idea.

Planned matches don't do much for me, just because I love not knowing what's going to happen next. That's why I like the Booker thing too. Plus if someone fades out a little bit due to a broken heart or psychotic episode, the match can still go forward and the one wrestler can just do a solo promo where they boast about how their opponents sock drawer will never be safe again.

I also like the uncertainty of whether or not I'll come out on top, but to balance that out, maybe use the planned ones only for story purposes like I said, and for any type or tournament or title situation, sim as normal.

Good points. We did try the booker mode once, in Season 1 with the House Shows. Didn't get handled as well as I'd hoped aside from a select few

For a narrative, I've already got an idea in my mind. It sort of adds a bit of sci-fi into it, and goes along with an idea I pitched earlier, may have been for here or FCW, for a corporation to run a wrestling federation for the prospect of selecting their next super soldiers. This would tie in with former-Lilith's post about Bloodworks being dissolved and destroyed for the most part (at least that I'd gathered), and probably on my end would involve Cadavre,who is on a hunt to kill every last one of the Bloodwork's Sentinels (Crymson included). I've got the ideas running through my head and was going to set up a hidden board to start working through RP's so that I have them right in front of me and can narrate them with the storyteller and move them when they're ready,so's not to rush a storyline essential RP.

Returning Champs/Champs in general: If you're a lame-ass that doesn't RP but a post a week, I'm giving your title shots to people who deserve them. Or, the odds will be stacked in multiman matches. I want titles to be worth something, since you are in a wrestling fed and titles = more money. If you're not motivated by a pay raise, then you really should be laid back on a couch, blown out of your mind watching Sponge Bob re-runs. 'Nuff said (and can see a character doing that now...).

Character's with histories will NOT be pushed over other characters. While thinking out loud, it's the GCW former champs that do have a little thought to them, but honestly if they're not RPing, or half-assed RPing, then they're not going far. Simply put. It's efed-lite... there's no need for half assed RPing as there's really no need for over-RPing and trying to throw storyline posts all over the place 3 times a day. Everyone just chill, take it easy, and, I dunno, have fun? You know, that thing we had before drama?

On my front, Crymson may return to lose her belt (not pre-planned loss, when it happens it happens)... Pryor, I don't expect to see him here. If you're a member elsewhere, you'll probably have seen that I RP elsewhere as well. If we go with the weapon storyline, Cadavre will probably be my main and possibly it so I can properly focus on it. The only other way it will change is if the Debutantes need another fighter.

And... don't expect pre-planned wins and losses out of me. I don't have time for resims and crossing my fingers hoping for a loss... especially when I can't play that much with attributes it seems.

CAF's: We could use them, as long as they're not super CAF. I'm not a fan of CAF this year... it all just seems stupid... and I can't recreate Pryor's last year's Ring of Fire... So I hate it even more. A lot of stuff doesn't even seem that cool to make to me yet... So, for now? Strike and final impact is what I'm thinking if you make one of those. No laying in punch, kick, nutshot, punch, kick, headbutt, grab, taunt, grab some more, swing them around, drop them...

IC: Crymson retired dear, dear Lessien. Of course I'm sure there's a way that could be written in which she returns. But I'm not sure what it is at the moment. I'm many things, but cheap is not one of them.

I agree, the Booker system would have to make sense. There are some one off matches sure, but there also have to be some good feuds booked for a month or two. I also think it doesn't have to be a character of any kind. Just release the schedule via announcement. Less IC staff is better in my opinion.

I think it would be nice to get a role play board open once we are absolutely sure this is going to happen and we have figured out which characters we might actually use. With GCW's horrid little ending, there are a few loose ends to be clipped and tucked and ironed out in the scenario in general for the people who enjoy writing epic sagas in trilogies.

I don't know if you want to discuss it here or in the other thread, but at first glance, second and third ... I'm confused by it or maybe I'm complicated by it. I think you get a cookie for confusing me though because usually that's my job.
