The scene opens with close up of Kaori, a towel draped over her face, as she’s sitting in a chair, slouching, her head pointed towards the ceiling. You couldn’t see the expression on her face, but you got a feeling that she was completely drained from her thirty minute epic from earlier in the evening. As the camera zooms out, you notice she’s still in her ring gear, with the exception of a “GCW: Twilight” t-shirt covering the majority of her attire, her right hand giving an inappropriate finger gesture as she sat there.
“As you can see,” a voice starts as we see Kaoru with a towel wrapped about her shoulders come in on the scene, “We aren’t exactly pleased.” She points at Kaori’s hand as the camera follows. Kaoru also was in her ring gear with the exception of wearing a black t-shirt that read “Team Edward” on the front. “We apologize to the young audience watching at home, but quite honestly our moods can be completely summed up by just that simple symbol.” Kaori’s hand continues to make parents angry as the camera now focuses on Kaoru’s face. She took was looking tired, but not the extant where she didn’t even have to energy to speak to a camera. “As most of you are probably aware, I’m not usually the spokesperson for our team, but seeing how my sister clearly isn’t of the right mind to speak the general audience, I’m here to be your suitable replacement.” She forcefully smiles before continuing. “You see, I do double duty here for the company. Not only do I wrestle, but considering I have a degree web design, I also help design the GCW website. The layout surrounding the video you’re viewing right now? Totally mine. When I got the news earlier in the week that our tag team victory over Victor Wayne and “Mr. Showtime” Bryan Daniels was going to be completely ignored, and instead we were going to be booked into two separate triple threat matches do determine tag title contendership, I merely shrugged and decided we’d best roll with the punches. I’m just cool like that, and updated the newswire at the GCW homepage. Of course, Kaori didn’t know that, and when I delivered the news to her earlier this morning, she was immediately against it. She doesn’t check GCW.com to often, and when she does, it’s usually just to make sure her Uni-man fan page is still linked in the related sites directory.”
“UGH!” Kaori hollers in response, still showing general disfavor for the entire situation, her finger still reeking having upon the watching parents.
“You see, we’ve been a tag team for Global Championship Wrestling since the start of this season in a division that was dwindling to begin with. The fact that we weren’t even eligible for tag titles until recently just meant that the executives at top finally decided to cave in, since Debutante tag titles just wasn’t going to happen. Why it took them 4/5 of the season to finally realize this, I don’t know, but it’s the fact that all our previous victories prior to finally being able to compete for them were still completely ignored after the fact. It’s like we didn’t matter before, and we still don’t matter now.” She shakes her head disapprovingly as she runs a hand through her hair, trying to calm herself down. “We apologize if we were too busy entertaining our fans at home to take part in a particular wrestling federation in the past, but that still isn’t a really the case here now, is it? Let’s just ignore the vibrant favoritism, and look at the facts.”
“Styles and Phoenix beat the team of Justin Sane and Zack Attack a week ago.” She crosses her arms together and nods, “Alright, cool. Considering Sane and Attack weren’t even a tag team to begin with…beating a team that logically had no chemistry. Good job. Great. LET’S PUT YOU IN A TRIPLE THREAT FOR THE TAG TEAM TITLES.” She rolls her eyes, “Victor Wayne and Bryan Daniels. They got a couple tag team victories in the past, but they lost last week. To whom? TO US. Our teams both have chemistry, and it was down the wire. We ultimately pulled the victory. But you know what? Let’s ignore the fact that they lost last week and LET’S PUT THEM IN A TRIPLE THREAT FOR THE TAG TEAM TITLES.”
Kaori again voices her concern with a gallant “Ugh.”
“Kaori and I, we are successful tag team. We’ve only lost two tag matches prior to this during this last season, and one was just a six-woman tag. If the executives in the back, if Amanda Wallace had any logic, she would have put the team of Styles and Phoenix in a tag match against Victor Wayne and Bryan Daniels. Why? Because if they were to beat a team with actual chemistry then perhaps they could be contenders for the GCW World Class Tag Team Championships, like we are. That victory we had last week should have put us in that direct spot for tag team gold. Granted that we’ve won our fair share of tag matches in the past against all the other teams she put us against. We’ve won more tag matches then both teams have combined this season. The fact that next week, you’re going to see Wayne and Showtime against Phoenix and Styles for those tag titles just declares that favoritism that I mentioned earlier.” Kaoru shakes her head once more as she places her hands on her hips, and looks at the ground. Giving the people watching at home and moment to ponder all of this. “But you know. We had to be put in two triple threat matches with people we’ve beat in the past, and two people that shouldn’t even be contenders to begin with. Also, let’s ignore the fact that triple threat matches don’t require team work, whatsoever.”
She then takes a contended sigh. “We accept the fact that we lost our respective triple threat matches. But what we don’t accept is the fact that we were in triple threat matches to begin with, considering the reasons I mentioned earlier. And I do have to say, if the team of Phoenix and Styles win those tag titles? Then by god, we’re done.”
With the news of this, Kaori takes the towel off her face, and gives Kaoru a questioning stare as the scene fades.
