Earlier Today
The cameras caught Jon Pryor's entrance to the GCW Arena, dressed in blue jeans and wearing his Detroit Red Wings jersey. When the Chicago fans are shown this footage, they boo their Blackhawks' rivals nearly as loudly as they normally boo the man. He stops at the advertisement poster, showcasing this... Elimination bullshit. He grimaced at reading the board before continuing on his way.
Tonight
The camera opens up to Jon Pryor standing in full ring gear with Graciela backstage. The first that anybody had seen of him since his loss at MindGames... he was going to speak on his terms and his terms alone. Not because some curtain-jerker decided to go to the ring and grab a microphone. "Well, I am standing here with the former World Cha-*"
Pryor snatches the microphone from her hand, glaring at her. "Leave now."
Graciela shrunk away as the camera re-focused on the bitter ex Champion...
"Let me address this blasphemy, designed to give all of you people what you want. This... highway robbery of what is rightfully mine. This... lame attempt to correct the travesty that arose at MindGames.
That belt... is mine. Enjoy the loaner, Jack Jyndal... thanks for all of the extra work that will be needed to wash away the tarnish to its prestige that you'll surely be causing. Three months ago, that belt, this company, OUR CEO screamed for a "savior." And I, like I have time and time before....
Answered.
Valiantly, I defended my championship. I chased away the undeserving, goofy looking Jin Remmy. I even defeated Jack Jyndal when the odds were supposedly against me with that other sideshow freak. Valiantly, I increased the championships prestige to an insurmountable amount following the jokes of Champions past. Jokes that are no longer even here, aside from someone who fake retired only to come back and think he can get that much brighter of a spotlight. Valiantly, I was the champion that GCW could finally be proud of, to finally respect."
A chorus of boos echo through the arena as he says this. Backstage, Jon continues.
"To you naysayers, just you wait. Just you wait until the belt is consider a worthless prop once again. Just you wait until the man carrying it can grasp the load, and it slips away from him. Just you wait until the man quits, just like all of the other Champions that couldn't bear the load and skipped town. Then you watch, as all the work that I've done, it goes tumbling down with the rest of the mudslide that is this company. With every darkening cloud that is our rumored economic situation, I was its guiding light. I split those clouds, I brought something to be proud of to GCW.
And now... all of these hoops that are being presented to me to have to jump through by our boss... Are absolutely asinine! There is no way... NO WAY that I should be denied my rightful rematch! There is NO WAY that for someone of my caliber, who carried that championship as I have... to have my rematch molded into this... child's play, where we have to invite today's garbage of GCW to all play grab ass for a shot at MY title. If Jack Jyndal had any class whatsoever, he'd bring MY belt down to the ring, and give me the one on one opportunity that I deserve. I don't care if he wants toto try to give himself a little advantage and make it after I pin one of the other three undeserving place holders... He knows what he must do to make this right. You know right where you'll be able to find me..."
Jon slams the microphone down on a storage box behind him before he heads off from the camera, and to his locker room.
