There's the tag. There's the Complete Shot. And there's Jennifer flipping out and shouting at people other than her for losing as she snatches the belt away and leaves.
I'd watched the match a few times twisting that lotto ticket around in my hands. Too many probably. Trying to figure out just how out of line she was acting in this.
Answer: just enough.
I know she's probably losing it and being where she is who could blame her. But I can't stand watching it for much longer.
Could this be the right thing to do? What's she even going to ask me to do? I can't not know, and whatever it is I'll just back out at the last minute if it's as horrible as I'm imagining.
That's what I kept telling myself those five agonizing minutes I spent digging for my cell phone.
My hands seem to be dialing. No turning back now.
