After the first two matches in GCW's latest showing of MayheM were over, an image of Amanda Wallace filled the television screens. She of course, didn't appear in front of the audience much anymore due to accident and her newfound handicap, so they were used to her appearing from backstage. Some G-C-Dub chants filled the arena before she spoke.
"Thank you. As we saw tonight, we had one major announcement that I allowed Aphrodite to say, and that was that at Ascension, Jon Pryor will be putting his GCW World Championship on the line against Jin Remmy, in a rematch of the epic Iron Man match from Absolution.
But, let me get into another match. Last year, in a bit that was a little... complicated, with the rocky start of GCW and the revolving door that revolved around the front office, I didn't quite get to do this idea. And that is this. I'd like to start looking into our year end main event for the Titan division. I'm still looking into something for the Debutantes, but for the Titans, it is this. You will be given a chance to walk out of the 2009 season as the GCW World Champion. Each and every person is eligible. Here is what I want to do.
On select pay per views, I will have a "Global Supremacy Qualifier." Ascension happens to be one of those pay per views. At Ascension, there will be a fatal fourway ladder match, fitting four deserving Titans against one another. The winner that grabs the briefcase hanging fifteen feet above the ring?
Goes to Global Supremacy.
I have selected the next two matches as Qualifier matches to participate in this Ascension match.
The first one, is the, for now, handicap match pitting Sean Dravis, Johnny Phoenix and Jacob Stevens against Carson Freedom and Joe Bruiser, with a possible partner to join. The winning team will fight it out on LockUP! to determine that qualifier.
Next up, is our main event tag team match... and this actually goes beyond the ladder match. Jin Remmy and Jon Pryor are already booked to fight for the World Championship, so they're ineligible. But, to Shayne Williams and Jack Jyndal: You guys win? You're going to Ascension... but it gets better for Jack. You win, and you have a choice. You can either enter the ladder match, or you will be granted a shot at Pryor's GCW World Championship.
Also, if you guys win... You will be defending your GCW Tag Team Championships at LockUP!.
