Don't keep Haven waiting.....

[Haven]

Having checked out the many stores on Michigan Ave., otherwise known as the Magnificent Mile, Haven makes his way back to GCW headquaters, and walks through the lobby, when he shouts.....


"Yo, sweetheart!"


He says to the receptionist


"Where is this Wallace chick? She should know better than to keep Haven waiting."


"I'm sorry sir, but did Ms. Wallace have an appointment with you?"


Haven took off his shades and looked at the receptionist with such disgust in his face that he made her move back a bit

"Are you kidding me?! Don't you know who I am?

The receptionist is about to answer when Haven interupts her by putting his hand up

"Don't. I'll find her myself. Just stay there and look stupid."

Haven pulls his shades back up, and then walks away. He calls the elevator down and the attendant asks him "Which floor sir?"

"Take me to Wallace's floor, and be quick about it."

Haven makes his way out of the elevator, and walks towards Ms. Wallace's office, and then decides.....

"This chick actually had me waiting. The nerve!

Haven almosts opens the door, when he insteads clinches his fist, and knocks somewhat loudly on Ms. Wallace's door.

The loud knock startled Amanda from her dissection of the card. She still had the important aspect of figuring out who would be fighting in the ladder match coming up at Ascension, so the pounding really started to irritate her.

"Come in..."

[Haven]

Hearing her voice, Haven enters the room swinging the door freely and then looks her up and down. He then gives Ms. Wallace a sly smile and then removes his shades

"Yeah, I'm sure you already feel embarrassed enough for not meeting me at the airport, but you can make up for that another time."

Haven makes his way towards Ms. Wallace. He then pulls the chair out.

"You don't mind, right? Of course not. Anyway, I'm wondering a few things, that quite frankly, should've been answered weeks ago, when my agent contacted you."

[Amanda Wallace]

"Well then, this is the time to ask them. I'm a very busy woman, so I apologize if running a billion dollar corporation kind of got in the way of answering your larger-than-life ego's demands. I'm sure that the assistant that discussed anything with your agent was sure to inform him that you were being hired in on the same level as anybody else, no ifs, ands, or buts, so I'm sure that we can have those concerns out of the way right off the bat."

Amanda had learned some polite demeanor since her temper-filled early days, yet there was a time when pompous asses brought about a bit of the sarcasm that just screams for Amanda to put them in their place. She does, after all, sign their paychecks each week. And gives them a roof over their heads. And benefits. And she's sure an entire list of legally inspected by lawyers amenities can be listed here as well if she wanted to hurt her brain trying to remember all of the legal lingo...

[Haven]

Haven, eyebrows up, and leaning back, nods his head in understanding, all the while rubbing his chin, then replies with...

"Right......It was Haven's understanding that he was hired to GCW to help take your brand to that next level. Well, he's here to answer that call."

Haven said of himself, speaking entirely in third person.

"And Haven will have a word or two with Drew, you know.... Rosenhaus, about the contract he went over with your assitant later.

But Hollywood wanted to know a few things now;

1. The condo suite on the, what is it? Eleventh or twelth floors? Yeah, need more info on that, as well as assurance that the view is nothing short of spectacular. I may have some...personal guests coming over later and my rep cannot be under scrutiny.

2. Matches. Haven has already seen a couple of nobodies placed in marquee matches. Haven's question is; where is his, and why isn't it already against your resident and undeserving Champion, Jon Pryor?

3. Haven may have some changes to his wardrobe, as well as his music and pyro for shows; basically, Haven wants to know if he has to chase you down to have these things done, or does he speak with the seamstress and techs. respectively.


4. Haven may have some....unwelcome stalkers or others from his past that he may need round the hour security for. What assurance of security staff do you have to keep him safe?


5. And finally, Haven needs a number from you so that he can..."

Haven cutting himself short, and smirking.

" Contact you if he ever needs anything else on a more...personal level."

Haven still smirking, sits back in the somewhat comfortable chair. Waiting for Ms. Wallace's reply.

Right. This was rich...

"If you've been staying in a hotel all of this time, you've been wasting money. The assistants give you the room assignment and take you there when you sign your contract. If you chose to leave out into the streets of Chicago, then it's your own problem. See them on your way out and they'll take you where you need to go.

Those "nobodies" are those that have earned their shot. Jon Pryor earned his GCW World Championship out of a tournament and has been a constant world champion in various federations the past four years. Jennifer Drew is the same, this is her second or third year winning major titles and fourth being a major contender for them. Same with Lessien Melwasul, our first Debutante Champion. Jin Remmy has broken through to the deserving spots, as has former FCW Champion Jack Jyndal. You think your name belongs up there? Go make an impact and find these people. Don't come to me about it. I sign your contract. I don't hold your hand through your career, and fire you when you aren't worth my money.

Your own changes are your own doing, and it will cost you. Enough said.

Nathan Michaels is my head of security. He is for arena and personal security only. You want someone watching your back? You wouldn't be the first person to hire a bodyguard. Do so, but he's on your payroll. Not mine.

And finally? My card."

She hands it over, it shows nothing but an extension... to her office. "After hours, I don't answer it. My cell phone is earned, not handed out. You want to earn it? Be worth something to this company. You come here the same as everybody else and will be given no special treatment. It was a real lump to swallow for your agent, I'm sure, and it will be for you as well. Is that enough, Mr. Haven?"

........Pausing for a second, Haven checks the card front and back noticing only the office extension. Now rubbing his chin again, he listens to the rest of the fiery Amanda Wallace's words, taken back a bit that anyone, let alone a woman would talk to him in such a tone. Haven now outwardly grinning thinks to himself....."I think I like that"....

He then responds with

"Yeah....Haven feels you've answered his questions adequately enough."

Now standing up, Haven begins to leave, but turns around and says...

"Amanda.....you can call me Brandon."

Pulling his shades up, Haven salutes her by waving his index and middle finger from his brow, and closes her doof behind him.
