Absolution Press Conference(Remmy, Pryor)

Amanda Wallace is first to take the podium, as the traditional seat for her former General Manager was now gone. To her left, sat Jon Pryor... to her right, Jin Remmy... the two main players in the main draw of a match that is happening tonight. She wanted to bring Jennifer Drew, her Top Debutante Champion, but was unable to reach her in time... not to mention that the match that was being built up to no longer is happening, either...

Nonetheless... "Good evening all, and welcome to the official press conference for GCW Absolution. I am the CEO and owner of Global Championship Wrestling, Amanda Wallace. To the sides of me are the two men that are taking part in tonight's match to name the new GCW World Champion, Jon Pryor, and Jin Remmy. We will get to them later, but first I have to address a few things.

First off, yes, we lost our General Manager, and no, I will not be commenting on the situation. What I will comment on, is that Global Championship Wrestling will continue sailing on without her. As such, we also lost Lauren Kennedy... and again, another direct situation that I will not be commenting on aside from naming the future contender for the GCW Top Debutante Championship: It will be the winner of the match-up between Lessien and Trinity.

But, that's more than enough of the business side of things... at least two of the many things I deal with on a daily basis... what I have here is the true deal.

Last year... we didn't quite have a banner year with our Continental Heavyweight Championship. Two champions left... and at times, it seemed that the Top Debutante Championship was the pinnacle title to be fighting for... Not that that's entirely a bad thing on the latter. I'm very proud of the recognition that our ladies are capable of giving. But, traditionally, a heavyweight championship is the crown jewel of any wrestling, boxing, or fighting promotion... and I'm proud to say that finally, that statement can come true for Global Championship Wrestling! I have the utmost confidence that both Jin Remmy, and back from the dead again Jon Pryor will both present to you a main event worth watching, and a title reign worth respect, honor and dignity... Hence, is why the Continental Heavyweight Championship is no more... and the re-christened GCW World Championship will become the official top Titan Championship of GCW.

But, I'm going to finish talking now... and I'd like to ask Jin Remmy to give his comments on tonights bout. Jin?" She looked toward him, stepping back on her cane.

[Jayceon Williams]

Jin Remmy nodded his head with a smirk on his face. Pointing out to those taking notice of this moment. He leaned forward to the microphone infront of him on the table and began to give his input...

"Yeah. You definitely won't see no half-assed chump from this side of the tracks. Like I said in the previous promo I dropped in response to Mr. Pryor's, I'm looking to be the new 'Face of GCW.' There's too many punks in the locker room who feel like they aren't a damn thing without a championship around their waist. Just like someone... Oh... I don't know... The Avenger? All he talks about is "Blah, blah... My title... Blah, blah... My title..." Why tarnish the title with someone who can't even stand on his own two feet without having a championship around his waist? A wise man once told me awhile ago, that it is not the belt that makes the man. It is the man that makes the belt. That is exactly what Ms. Wallace has stated before. There is no Continental Championship. That belt is dead and gone. That belt was tossed in the garbage like yesterday's news. It was washed up and diminished what little prestige it had with the kinds of champions that just up and leave when they can't hack it. Then you have the other side of the spectrum with the snorefest, lackluster champions that actually did stick around. I'm looking to change that."

He points his index finger down on the table.

"I start with Jon Pryor. One of the many that people consider the epitome of what a champion is supposed to be. Last year was nothing more than an utter fail for me. I've dealt with tag team partners that disappear, dropping the ball when the big moment comes, and the many of people in the ring who ran scared after one single match. This year? It's the Year of Jin Remmy. Plain and simple. I'm going to show you how to go from the bottom to the top just like that. *snaps fingers* Put your idols on the pedestal and be scared that you can't beat them. Me? I'm going to prove that all it takes is a little 'reality check' for these "greats."

Jin nods his head and pauses. Letting the floor stand for Jon to speak on his behalf.

[Jon Pryor]

"Hate to burst your bubble, then, Jin..." Jon's gaze hadn't left the area that he heard Remmy's voice come from. He ignored the flashing bulbs and video cameras trained on him. "You're going to continue to live in the disappointments of last year."

Another solid stare before finally breaking it. His eyes sold the truth of the situation from a man that will not not leave Absolution as the Champion. He finally turns his head to address the media.

"One thing that Mr. Remmy fails to mention is this. It's the Championships themselves needing the Man. You hit the nail on the head of those that think these belts make them... they don't. It's a fifty-fifty symbiotic relationship. I can go back into my past, and bring up good examples, but the point is... They're not relevant anymore.

At Absolution, I have the opportunity to take the GCW World Championship, and mold it's legacy in my image. Believe me... I have all the respect in the world for Mr. Remmy over there... but his goals fall directly in the way of mine. My goal, is to make sure that I leave this sport as the absolute best ever... and a championship that is seeking to re-new its legitimacy is the best place for me to go with it. I'm sure I could go to the huge promotions, and stand on top of a roster of dozens...

Or I can take the championship, stand above the focused promotion, and raise its trophy, over my head. I can renew it into just what GCW, no, wrestling needs in general, and in turn, I ascend with it. I am the one in the history books as the one who put the heavy cross of the defeated GCW Continental Heavyweight Championship... And remove the boulder in front of the cave to unleash the almighty GCW World Championship.

There will be nothing that Jin can do... nothing that Amanda can do... nothing that any former champion can ever do or say that will prevent me from conquering this feat, no matter who I have to bury along the way. I am a born and bred champion, and this is not only legitimizing the GCW World Championship, but it's cementing the legacy of the most deserving man to ever lace up his boots. That... is me."

[Jayceon Williams]

"Someone's been knocking back a few too many before they came to this press conference, eh? Hahahaha..."

...says Jin, cocking his head back and shaking a hand over his mouth. Acting as if he was drinking something. He then stopped and leaned forward to his microphone once again...

"You can sit there in "Lala Land" Mr. Pryor all day if you want to. But right here on planet Earth... in the real world... in reality... You fail to realize that I'm not the same person I was last season. You can sit there with that smug look on your face and make bogus claims about how I can't do anything to stop you. Unfortunately for you, you're making the biggest mistake that anyone in this business can make. That is that you're underestimating your opponent. Big mistake. This is the problem with the "pedestal" people. They sit on their mighty "pedestal" and look down among the rest of the ranks like they're some kind of God. Fact of the matter is, they're not any different than the rest of us. I proved that when I disposed of the PWNdozer, Brent Starr. Another one of our beloved "pedestal" people that people often fear when it comes to stepping in the ring against them. It's really quite sad what kind of pathetic delusions you've got floating around in your head, Mr. Pryor."

Jn just shrugged his shoulders. Shaking his head a bit. He then continued...

"I guess you'll never learn. I'll show you though. I'll show you, the people watching at home, the people at Absolution, the GCW roster, the GCW staff, and everyone around the world just how bad a nyukka like Jin Remmy can be. At Absolution, you better watch your ass out there. You better watch your ass. I'm going to be giving nothing less than my best out in that ring. I am going to give you a show that you will never ever forget. Why? Because I can, and I will. It's an Ironman Match. That means I've got you all to myself. I'm going to beat you within an inch of your life. You're going to wish that you had remained 'dead.' After the paramedics come down to the ring and scrape off what's left off of the mat, you will have no choice but to accept that you are no longer the Wrestling Savior that you once were before. It's a new age, Mr. Pryor. I'd suggest you make peace with that harsh dose of reality that we call life."

[Jon Pryor]

"Underestimate you... Underestimate you?!?" A look of disbelief towards Remmy before Jon leans forward to the microphone. "He don't know me very well, now do he?"

He regained his posture from the atypical point out of... "underestimation defense" employed by Remmy. "If I were the type to underestimate, for one, I wouldn't even be here. I'd be in the back, selecting my metal polish and finding the screwdriver to put my name tag on the face plate with already. Know this, Remmy... I have NEVER underestimated anybody my entire career. I am, a career champion. And you do not get that position by merely making these idiotic mistakes. I would never have been front and center at your match on MayheM if I were to underestimate you. Oh no, Jin.

If anything... I overestimate you. I overestimate the fact that I'll have to overcome insurmountable odds to even stand a prayer of a chance. I overestimate the fact that you will be walking out of Absolution as the first ever GCW World Champion. I overestimate the fact that you're plain...

Better than me.

There's one thing that overestimation does, Jin Remmy... and that backs the animal into it's corner. Have you ever cornered a wild dog, Remmy? Or, hell... this is a big city. Lets go with something a little easier to find... how about something as harmless looking as a raccoon? What happens then, Jin?"

Some of the media seemed confused that he would bring a rodent into the occasion, but...

"Tenacity. Aggressiveness. Viciousness. And I'm telling you that you'd better not miss your kill shot, unless you want to be in for an entire world of hurt.

The same applies to a man. What I am is a man backed into his corner. I have my year off, my faked deaths, my past title reigns looming over me, saying that I don't have it anymore. And, walking toward me in the midst of those gallows is Jin Remmy. I could be looking at not only my final chance to regain a World Championship, to stand on top of the world and say that I still have it... but I could also be looking at the final night that I compete. We all could.... and I'll be god-damned if I don't go down without giving the ultimate, self-preserving fight of my life!

Underestimate you? Hell no, Jin... you've done that by just assuming. I have myself backed into the corner from hell, and you had better be ready the very next step you take toward me. You'll be in for a world of hurt, and I'll be in for a large, golden championship to call my own."

[Jayceon Williams]

"No, no, no, no...."

Jin raised a hand up and extended his index finger. Shaking it side to side for a brief moment. He lowered it and spoke into his microphone....

"There no need for me to get ready. I've done more than enough physical and mental preparation for this match. You bet your ass that I'm ready. I've scratched and clawed my way from the bottom of the barrel to the top of the ladder. There's only one obstacle in my way from achieving and solidifying my spot among one of the greats. That would be you, and I'll be damned if I'm going to let you stand in my way. The old Jin Remmy is dead and buried. He's stuck in his grave with his inability to pick up the victory when it really matters. The new and improved Jin Remmy sits here at this press conference today with you and Ms. Wallace here and the new and improved Jin Remmy is ready and willing to go whenever the bell sounds. You can count on that."

He looked out to the media. Giving them a nod and a wink. Then he looked back over at his opponent and continued...

"You talk a lot about scared animals being back into a corner now, Mr. Pryor. That makes me wonder... Are you scared? Is the great Jon Pryor scared? Do I scare you Pryor? What is it? Is it that I speak the truth or is it my ability? Is it my confidence in myself as a performer? I know you've said that you fear you can't do it anymore, but I think there's a little more to that story. You see... I don't think you fear that you can't do it anymore. I mean, come on now... You've made it this far. You've already been through three matches. I think that's more than enough proof to show you haven't lost a step. Tell me something Mr. Pryor. What seems to be bothering you so much? Afraid you're going to be forgotten? Afraid you're going to be remember as the controversial champion that nobody wanted?"

Jin folded his hands, looking at his opponent. An eyebrow cocked up as he awaited an answer from Jon Pryor.

[Jon Pryor]

He exhaled loudly through his nostrils.
"You read far too between the lines."

He folded his hands, and leaned forward. "Every man has a fear in his heart, Remmy. You'd do best to open your eyes to your very own. I've faced mine, I know mine. You are not one. Failure is. Lets put this back into laymen's terms so you're fully capable of understanding, and I'll say the same thing to you that I told Christian Pryce for the sake of sounding like a broken record.

You'd better be ready to hit me way harder than I'll hit you.

You'd better be ready to sink to depths that I'd never sink to.

And you'd better be far more ready to represent GCW in a way that I'd never represent it... to build that championship into a legacy far more than I'm capable... because just when you think it's enough?

Ring of Fire, and it's done. I'm done with this interview."

Jon pushes himself out of his seat, adjusting his jacket and buttoning the bottom button. All the while, his gaze is directed at Jin Remmy in a monotonous stare at the impending apocalypse. Intimidation was not seen in his eyes, but determination.

With no other facial movement, Jon turned, and walked down the steps of the stage, leaving Jin Remmy and Amanda Wallace to finish this conference to themselves.

[Jayceon Williams]

"He mad. Hahahaha... He mad. Hahahaha..."

Jin points at Jon Pryor as he makes his exit it. Shaking his head while laughing to himself. He looks out to the media again and decides to put his final words down on this to end the conference.

"You see that? He's running scared. Scared of the truth. Scared of what's to come. He's running scared. Do you want a champion like that? When the heat gets turned up a little too high for Pryor, he gets up and runs off. All huffing and puffing and whatnot. Do you want a champion like that? Does GCW want a champion like that? Nah. GCW doesn't deserve that kind of mistreatment. But you see... This is just a preview of things to come. Pryor disappearing from the scene... Leaving Jin Remmy.... Me... All by himself... At the top of the mountain. Reigning supreme as the GCW World Championship... Giving GCW the champion not only the champion that it needs, but the champion that it deserves. At Absolution, consider it a done deal. I'm going to Absolution... I'm going to crush Jon Pryor... I'm going to be the first GCW World Champion... 'Nuff said."

Jin leans back in the seat he was sitting in. Folding his arms across his chest. Leaving it open to Amanda Wallace to make any closing comments for the main event for Absolution.

[Amanda Wallace]

"Well, I knew we were onto something great for this main event and so far, I'm not disappointed. This is going to be the must-see match of the show, people... So remember, everyone. Order GCW Absolution on March 1st, and bear witness to just what GCW has to offer the entire professional wrestling industry."

With that, the press conference was adjourned.
