"Heh. Any more truer words spoken?"
The camera fades into view with Jon Pryor sitting in the middle of the ring. He's dressed in his ring gear, his fists taped tightly. The t-shirt covering his upper torso reads "Savior? Pft, Save Yourself." across it. He leans forward in the steel chair he is sitting in, placing his elbows on his knees, turning his hands into a chin rest. "It's been a long time seeking for answers, but now we finally are reaching the end."
A series of videos plays throughout Jon's career, from grainy fan WTF footage, to VWE and LXW earlier days, to a brief stint in APW, to even the power couple entanglement in FCW with Lilith. A lot of gold was shown in those video clips. A lot of accomplishments. It ends on the newspaper images reporting on his "death." The first time.
"One can ask... why bother coming back after such an injury? Why bother coming back with all that you've accomplished, from your World Championship reigns, to the company you've controlled, to every single controversy that you've found yourself in the middle of? The answer is simple...
Why stop, and step aside for someone to top you... when you can top yourself?" A wry grin as the camera focuses on his face. "Look at me. Look at the matches I've had. Have I lost a step? Hell no. Have a gained a step? You be the judge, but I've never felt better. I've never felt that I couldn't stand atop the world once again, and be the man, just as I had before.
It's high time that something be handled with honor in my career, isn't it? Even with all of my accomplishments... hardly any sit with an asterisk. LXW World Championship: The reign ends by tampering with the final championship match. Hardly an honorable finish, now was it? Would have made it right... but, well, you know what happened that prohibited me from making it so myself. WCW World Heavyweight Championship... I was leaving the company. Instead of handing over the belt in the back and holding a prestigious tournament to crown a new champion, much like GCW is doing in the wake of Shia Storm's departure... they force me to job, making the new champion look week. Where's the honor in that?
And finally, my FCW World Championship. A company marred in controversy, with me at the helm. Power trip to put myself in the bout to get the belt, even if I mowed through five other people to get it, then set up a crap multi-man match following it to shut up the naysayers. And lose it to someone who didn't even stick around. Something about that just doesn't say honorable to me either.
Here in GCW... I have a chance to right all of that. I've started from the very beginning... I answered the call for a new championship and I've stepped over four wrestlers to get to the final spot. Jerry Massey, Victor Wayne, Uni-Man and Christian Pryce. I've not cheated to finish off a match, I've not power appointed myself to a final spot. It's high time that GCW has had a Champion that is a true Champion and carried himself as such. I am that man, despite what any doubter, hater and naysayer may say.
There is one, and only one in my way. Jin Remmy. As our friend, Stifler, pointed out in the opening clip... it is indeed on like Donkey Kong. See, I'm not going on to do a rant about how it's my destiny. I'm not going to go in and bring fate about in this. This is hard earned, just as your placement was with a victory over my friend, Brent Starr, the man that I thought was the odds on favorite to win. This is an ending contest that is well deserved, and is just what GCW needs to restore the faith in it's World Championship. It's fitting that the belt has been renamed, as the Continental Heavyweight Championship was marred with two departures, and lackluster matches, in my opinion. Hand picked opponents by the champions themselves, bland main events. This is the time, and I do believe that you concur, that everything changes, just like with the Championship's name. Respect you I do. Lay down for you, I won't. I told Pryce this, and I'll tell you the same. This isn't my first rodeo. You'd better be ready to hit me far harder than I'll hit you. You'd better be ready to descend to the depths that I haven't even dug. You'd better be ready and willing to die to carry this belt, this lineage, this passage into the elite and greatness that far surpasses anything self-named or press-christened!
Because I know that I will. And in the end, I will be the champion that this company so desperate needs, and in the end, you and everybody else will have no other choice but to place my GCW Championship reign, my truly honorable, non-controversial championship reign on the highest of pedestals within the history of not only this company, but this business. I guarantee you that, and will not make myself to be the liar. The ball is in your court, Jin. My claims and campaign are out in the open, and you had damn well better be on the same page as I if you even want to dream of surviving."
The look of determination is the last thing the audience will see, as the arena lights above him turn off, leaving the camera to fade unnoticed.
