We come back from commercial to see Jon Pryor standing backstage, dressed in his wrestling gear with a hooded sweatshirt covering his upper torso. He's with a backstage interviewer.
"Mr. Pryoce, in the past weeks we've seen you hit Pryce with your Ring of Fire, then we watched Pryce attempt retaliation last week on MayheM. Just how personal is your match later tonight?"
"Oh, my. You guys read far too in between the lines. See, here's how it goes. When you have the World Championship up for grabs... well, anything goes. That is the pinnacle of being in this business, that is what each and every person is here to acquire. To say, "I'm the very best in this company." I've been there. Done that. Been hated for it as well.
But I'll tell you this. Nothing that this sea of hyppocrites in the audience or on the roster can change a single, damn thing of what I am, or what I will do for the GCW World Championship. Becasue, tell you what... Each and every one of them, in my shoes, would do the same thing. It's almost like listening to a Republican tell me how to save money... it's in one ear, and right out the other. It's all irrelevant.
So, between Pryce and myself? Nothing's more personal aside from the fact that he stands in between me, and Jin Remmy, who stands between me and my belt. Once I'm through with Pryce? Remmy gets my attention, it's as simple as that, and Pryce becomes "that guy that I beat."
Now, I'll admit... he does look to be impressive. He man-handled Daniel Justice... he picked up the win in our tag team match, and destroyed Joe Bruiser. Admirable. But there is a reason why I am who I am... Why I've accomplished what I've accomplished. And, as I've told Pryce all along. He'd better be ready to hit me far harder than I can hit him. He'd better be ready to reach to depths far further than I will. You think you've gone far enough, hit hard enough? Go the extra mile. That's the only advice I'm giving you before this match, Christian...
You're looking at the new GCW World Champion. Right now? I finish going through all of the formalities. And you, sir.... are next. See you soon."
The camera fades.
