Backstage the former GCW head of media and publicist is shown, it had be announced on there website that she had made the switch from a behind scenes role to that of a manager. Robin Du Jeu sat there watching a monitor that was next to her desk, and she wondered what she could do to improve her clients performance. It was going to be a challenge but she wanted to manage a champion or manage a wrestler to the championship. Her attempts to sign one of the hottest young prospects in the Debutante division had seemingly been in vain.
Hmm? Not exactly the plan.
Robin rapped her fingers on the desk as she reviewed her clients match again, it wasn't easy watching someone you just signed lose but at least he wasn't merely a jobber and swept aside like yesterday's trash. He put up a good fight and Robin could see great potential in him. Robin continued to jot down notes on the match, it seemed that she knew a lot more about the wrestling business than her previous role in GCW had lead us to believe. Then as she lowered her spectacles to see the video again. Then she heard a loud bang on the door.
Enter
She said in a chirpy tone but who was it?

He was walking through the backstage area... and he had just stepped out of his locker room after taking his post match shower, wearing a gray t-shirt as well as a pair of blue jeans. With his hair still damp, he passes his hand through it to push it to the back. Disappointment was the look that was on the face... On the face, of Daniel Justice as he had walked into a match with Brent Starr earlier in the evening, and come out on the losing end. Not exactly the way that he wanted to start his season back at GCW, but that’s what happened...
Justice wasn’t really thinking of what was going on in the prospect of his charges for the so called murder that the police think he was responsible for, he just had one place where he was headed. As he knocked a few times on the office door, he hears the words “Enter”, so with that, he places his hand on the door knob and enters the office... The office of Robin Du Jeu. Justice shuts the door behind him as he looks over at her who is sitting behind her desk, and he walks forward. He looks at the monitor that Robin had been looking at and rubs his forehead.
“Well, that was definitely not the way I wanted my return to GCW to turn out, that’s for sure...”
Justice then scratches his chin as he looks around the office. Mostly disappointed in himself from his performance during the night, but things could only get better after this couldn’t they? Hopefully that’s the way things would go in the near future...

Robin looked at Daniel momentarily then she removed her spectacles before addressing Daniel.
I see no need for panic, I can see parts where you were better than Brent Starr. However seemingly he comes in every season as the man to beat, but in a rematch I think you could certainly beat him.
Robin showed Daniel the parts of his match where he was impressive and the part where he nearly beat Brent. Robin was a little disappointed but she could see that Daniel gave his all in that match and given the circumstances his mind might well have been on other things that Robin had to help Daniel address.
Daniel I can see that your mind wasn't all there and I will help you anyway I can.

Daniel rubs his forehead as he watches the match. She was right. There were indeed some parts where it looked as if he could have had the better of Brent Starr, but he came out on the winning end, getting the best of Daniel here tonight. You win some you lose some I guess. Daniel nods his head as he listens as to what Robin had to say. He then begins to speak up towards her.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right. We did seem to go back and forth at some points in there, so it could’ve went either way. Brent got the best of me here tonight, and there isn’t much I can do about that. I guess it can only get better from here right?”
Daniel then clears his throat as he rubs the scruff on his chin, before taking a seat on a sofa in the corner of the office. He looks towards Robin yet again and then speaks again.
“Well, in a way, my mind wasn’t all there, that’s correct. Hell, with the cops probably chasing my ass as we speak, it was kinda hard to concentrate out there tonight. They could’ve been in the crowd, or watching on the tv, or even outside the arena as we speak! I’ve got to watch my back every where I go around town right now, and I guess it’s throwing me off my game in that ring...”
Justice shakes his head. It was kind of throwing him off his game. With having to think that the cops are after you every day of the week, how do you think you’d feel?

I have taken great care to ensure that you aren't watched her, as my office is very well hidden away. Plus I have paid some of the security to notify me and stall the cops.
Robin stood up from behind her desk and walked around to reassure Daniel that she believed in him and that she would do what it takes.
I am sure that soon we can find a way to prove you didn't do it. I mean it seemed rather odd that you'd randomly kill somebody in the street.
Robin placed her hand on his cheek her hands were so soft and she wanted to show that she believed in Justice!
Together we will beat this.

Daniel nods his head. He smiles as he hears what she had to say. He passes his hand through his hair before he begins to speak up yet again.
“Well, it feels good to hear someone say that they actually believe me on this. You’re one of the few people who actually believe that I didn’t kill that guy in the alley... I mean, I didn’t even know who he was...”
Justice looks at her and smiles as she had put her hands on his cheeks as he then clears his throat before he begins to speak up again.
“I really appreciate you taking care of all of this for me Robin. I know you must be a busy woman and even you taking me on as a client knowing my situation and going to all these lengths to take care of everything, is really appreciated.”

Robin's motives weren't entirely clear as to why she was going a bit further for Daniel, but indeed she was prepared to back him fully. Post bail if needed and she had a friend with a big wallet at her disposal, simply the moment she saw it on the news she wanted to prove that Daniel was innocent but exactly why she did even she wasn't clear.
As I said I believe 100% that you are innocent, and soon with the right lawyer we will prove it. Don't worry about the financial a friend of mine owes me a small favor.
Robin picked up the phone and dialed a number, she waited for a few moments before speaking.
Hello, I gather you were expecting my call... Yes Daniel is with me now. OK, I'll tell him.
Robin hangs up the phone and turns back to Daniel with a smile on her face.
I believe my lawyer might have found a witness to the incident.

Justice’s eyes widen as he hears what Robin had to say. A witness? How?... Where?... Daniel hadn’t seen anyone else around that night... He passes his hand through his hair as he looks over at Robin and begins to speak.
“A witness?...”
Justice simply says those two words for starters before he passes his hand over his face. This could be his way out of the whole ordeal. He clears his throat and then looks over at Robin again before he begins to speak up yet again for a moment.
“Do you know who the witness is? I could’ve sworn that there was no one else around that night... But nonetheless... This is great news.”
Daniel has a smile on his face as he looks at Robin who was smiling as well. And the fact that Robin was taking care of the lawyer... The financial business as well as pretty much everything else, was a big help to Daniel... And all this for someone whom she hardly knew at that.

Yes but my lawyer wasn't clear and didn't reveal a name, but he was very optimistic about the murder charges being dropped but expressed his concern of the assault and charges for escaping.Robin thought they could use the mental distress as grounds for dropping those charges and as far as she knew this was Daniel's first encounter with the police. She had done some research on him as her client ordered her to do so, and found that Daniel was very clean cut. Robin believed he was innocent he had genuine charm and came across as a nice guy. Maybe once the murder charges are officially dropped we can use mental distress or how it is called to explain your escape and assault. Robin switched the monitor to the live feed and now she saw a "tantrum" being thrown. Robin shook her head at that display as it was so un-lady-like. Robin was trying to shift the subject until she could give Daniel definite assurances. So glad you didn't react to a loss like that.

“Yeah... the escaping part of things could definitely lead to a problem... But there was no way in hell that I was going to miss the start of the new season...”
Daniel looks around the room as he speaks. He passes his hand over his face as he thinks about what he had done to get out of the prison... He was caught up in the moment that day and he needed out...
“The mental distress part could most likely work out, hopefully. It’s pretty much the only base that we have to use for the escape and assault charges... Hopefully that all works out.”
As Robin turns to her monitor, Justice looks over and sees Lauren, Jack and Toreno after their match. Justice shakes his head as he looks at it and lets out a small laugh as well at the same time before speaking up again.
“Heh, well I’m not really the type that has little temper tantrums after matches... A loss is a loss and there’s not much I can do about it... No point in throwing a fit after a loss, because really, it doesn’t help the situation any more than simply dealing with it would.”

Indeed, I knew you were a smarter guy than that.
Robin opens her notebook and waits for it to return from standby, she then begins to type something nothing long she wanted to do some quick research and to see what she could learn from other's mistakes so she could get Daniel back into the big picture in GCW. If Starr did become champion Daniel would have the almost beat him deal to use.
I assume you'd be up to calling out Mr Starr if need be?
Robin knew that Daniel facing a big name again was probably the quickiest way to regain momentum.

“Of course.”
Daniel nods his head as he responds to what Robin had said about Brent. He’d come so close once to beating Starr, that he’d love to get his hands on him again and prove that he could indeed defeat Starr in one on one action, Something that most men were proven not able to do.
“I’d love to be able to step toe to toe with Starr once more. I’ve proven I can take him to his limits in that ring, and now I just need to prove that I can defeat him.”

Robin smiled as one thing she admired most was confidence, not to be confused with arrogance and Daniel didn't come across as arrogant not in the least.
If he wins the title your coming close should put you into the picture for it, and I know that is every wrestler's goal.
Robin then thought if Brent would be up for the rematch, some wrestlers would duck contenders that gave them a genuine threat. Robin didn't know a lot of him personally or professionally as her previous role only had her handling his as well as other merchandising and he from what she could tell was a rich man. Certainly she hoped to make Daniel as rich if not richer, like any good manager this was a top priority of hers after she helped him prove his innocence.
I think we have a lot to work with I think you are more than capable of pushing his buttons to gain the rematch, assuming that he gives any issues of it. However he seems to be a man of reason so on the other hand he might be eager to prove you aren't a threat.

“Well, if he does win the title, one thing I know for sure is that there are a lot of superstars who are going to want to jump and get the first title shot, so it may be a tough task to actually get to Brent if the situation arises...”
There were still a few matches in the tournament to go but it seemed as if Brent had a good chance of walking away with the gold. It’s a known fact that once a champion is decided, a target will be placed on his back and may will want to get a shot at the gold first. Daniel didn’t really mind... Sure, he wanted the gold, but he wanted to prove he deserved it first.
“You’ve got that right... But one thing is for sure, and that is that Brent would use the fact that he pulled the win over me at Exodus and use it to his advantage... Not that I wouldn’t do the same if the situation was reversed... But I’m not the type that is easily affected by what others say, so if the time does come, I’d definitely be up to confronting Brent...”

Robin liked that Daniel wasn't afraid to step up, after all having a client who is afraid of the other roster members would have made her job a whole lot harder. Robin closed her notebook and slipped it in her bag, she had decided that it was best to call it a day. Also she wanted to get to known Daniel a bit more as a person and thought nothing better than a quiet coffee. I think we have covered a lot of business today I don't know about you Daniel but I could use a coffee.END (unless Daniel wants to add anything
