After dealing out a much needed 'reality check' to his enemy Jack Jyndal, Jin Remmy had advanced to the next round of the Continental Championship Tournament. It was later that Jin had found out that his partner for the next match would be Brent Starr. This could prove to be interesting. After the harsh words he had to say about all the participants in this little tournament, Jin could only expect hostility from Brent. Oh well. Fugg' it. Can't take the competitve determination of a man on his pursuit to greatness, than get out of the way. He wasn't going to let that get in the way of the championship. Jin made his way down the hallways of the arena, in the search of Brent Starr's locker room. It didn't take long for him to find it. Just a simple asking around and following directions, Jin found himself infront of Brent's locker room door. He drew a deep breath, before exhaling a heavy sigh. Then he lifted up a clutched fist to the door and gave it a few knocks.

*KNOCK*KNOCK...*KNOCK*KNOCK*KNOCK....*KNOCK*KNOCK*

"Open up, nyukka. It's Remmy."

He waited outside, keeping his ears open for any kind of response from the other side.

a short ruffling is heard inside as Brent tosses some things around, and out of the way in case it's company that needs a spot to sit.

After hearing it's Remmy, he chuckles. He was about to head out to find him. Seems smart minds think alike.

Come on in Remmy, it's open.

As he comes in, Starr continues talking

Yo man, I was just about to go find you, so I can only assume your here for the same reason. Teaming up tonight, no problem. Teaming up is going to be all too FAMiliar on my end. So winning won't be a problem, it'll be conserving any hostility between us, and waiting for MayheM where we can settle who is moving on, and who is gonna have to tone down for a month and wait their turn, dealing with some punks who can't get their game straight.

But ya, enough of me, what you got to say?

Jin cracked a smirk, a thought coming to mind. Might as well have some fun with his partner while he has him here. Nodding his head, Jin lifted a hand up and began to rub his chin. Responding to Brent with sarcasm in his voice...

"Well... Actually... I was coming to tell you that you better watch your ass at MayheM. I was already planning ahead for the future, you know? Already know what's going to happen in the tag team match. They might as well cancel it. Save them the embarassment and the doctor's appointment, you know? Might as well forfeit and let us go at it, but... We've got to be fair and whatever, so.... Just saying. Watch your ass, even though, looking even further into the future... We already know the results for that too. Gotta be fair though and give everything their fair chance."

He shrugged his shoulders. Looking at Brent with a raised eyebrow, that smirk on his face grew. Then he began to shake his head and laugh. Cracking jokes to ease the tension. Jin knew that it'd be a good match between himself and Brent. That was a given. He was confident in his own ability, but knew it wasn't going to be easy. He'll be keeping an eye on his partner for this match.

"Hahahahaha... I'm just fuggin' with you. Hahahaha... We'll see what happens at MayheM. You don't even got to worry about that tag team match. I already know for a fact that James Hunter and Avenger don't have a chance against us. They can't be serious if THAT'S our competition. Looking at Jack Jyndal and Daniel Justice, that's just an example of the inevitable."

I know I can trust you to watch my back til MayheM. The same as you should know you can trust me, to watch yours. We don't want to face the other at anything less then 100%.

He smiles, genuinely, he means every word.

I know Avenger will be a task to take down, I couldn't do it last year on my own, so chances are it'll take us both this year anyways. Hunter, on the other hand, is someone that can't be underestimated. I've seen him pull off bigger upsets. So the key is to stay focused, eyes on the prize, and come out the same way we go in..

The rest is just.. simple addition by subtraction. Subtract them, and then divide and conquer.

A chuckle and a smile later, and Brent was fixing the goggles on his head. Somehow they stayed on tight during his first match. He would have to remember to take them off for the next one.

"Yeah, yeah. Don't underestimate our opponents, cause they could pull out an upset and all that hibbity hoo blah. I know that rule."

Jin knew being cocky was the downfall of many over the years. History repeats itself time and time again when it comes to being overconfident. Jin wasn't being cocky or overconfident. He just knew that he wasn't going to be punked out by anyone. Not this season.

"Just got to smash the former mime and his partner, and advance forward to the main event of this Continental Championship Tournament. I know that fool Avenger cost me my shot last year when there was no champion. I refuse to let that happen again. I absolutely refuse to let that fool stand in the way of my shot to the top. Hunter on the other hand will be a victim of circumstance. He'll just happen to be in the same match on the losing side of the equation. I know they've done great things in the past, but that's in the past. This is now. This is a new year. This is a new season. Focus on the future, forget the past."
