That same crap happened to me. Youtube took down my Simon Bell entrance video because I used Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down. And I'm not sure if they're going to or not, it's been some time since I've disputed the copyright junk, but maybe my Tequila Rose Remmy entrance might be taken down too. It's fuckin' lame that Youtube and whatever lame music company have to make such a fuss over someone using their music. It's not like people are making profit off of it. Blah... YouTube sucks. >.> Even Photobucket pisses me off cause it won't let me upload Simon Bell's entrance either.
Though, I do find it weird they tried to block my 2008 Omega entrance and not Prodigy's 2009 entrance. Even though both use Godsmack's I Stand Alone.

I was expecting this with my old account if I am totally honest but the copyright crap on Youtube is pissing me off, purely because we aren't hurting anybody just by putting a song on our videos we ain't selling nothing or making profit. It's more the fault of the record companies because Youtube can be sued for it by them, but I have said it before seems Youtube started to flop after Google Acquired it.
Coincidence? I think not.

In a span of 24 hours, they removed 3 of my videos
My UPW home fed intro video (featured the song "Welcome to the jungle" and lasted the whole length.
My DMX beats Tremor for the XWWS title (because of Iron Man by Black Sabbath
Sylas Styles UPW attire (because it used a song by MY FUCKING FRIENDS BAND who aren't signed to ANY LABEL)
I disputed the last one, got my friends IN the band to email youtube and GIVE them permission for
A) me to use the song for the video
B) Youtube to host the video with their song
C) Me permission to officially post a video saying how lame youtube is for pulling the video.
How many anime/manga vids are up on youtube with songs? How many vids of ppl with music in the background are up? How many god damn YOUTUBE employee videos are up with music in them... but they pull down OUR videos and delete them from the server, or force us to change the audio...
OH that is another thing.... when you use music for an intro, and they strip ALL THE AUDIO FROM THE ENTIRE VIDEO!!!!
Youtube is run by hitler, I swear...

What I don't get from Youtube is how some videos pass and some that do not. I know that I have tried posting wrestling videos in the past or some of my own creations with songs and it was a no go and got the classic love letter from youtube as a warning and the next one is a banning of the account. My thoughts are how fair is that when you see other wrestling vids on there and songs/videos of artists that I wanted to put there myself. Honestly, I see it as they see how many hits you got and if it is something they want to do then they just do. Again I believe it is a bunch of BS in my book. It really got me to the point where I don't even go to youtube. |

It's not that. Photobucket also claims copyright claims on music too. It wouldn't let me upload Simon's for copyright reasons too.

that shit they did is not even legal in my land I should sue this bastards No offense, but when you sign up to YouTube, you agree to abide by their rules and Terms of Service. So, you'd lose that lawsuit. Its not Youtube that's taking your videos down, its THE MUSIC COMPANIES, that own the music that's doing it. They put in a file complaint and YouTube has no choice but to remove it, or allow you the option to mute your videos. I've had a a video of mine copyright claimed and I disputed it. It hasn't been taken down yet and that's been about 2-3 weeks ago. I'm not saying they are necessarily right for doing it, as we are not making a profit of having these videos, just... Saying we've agreed to their terms. Our hands are tied really. |
