Okay, I've been trying all the tips I've read for movesets and I've had no luck what so ever. If i post Mel's moveset here can someone help me and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

OK on first impressions it looks like issues may be placement, but I won't be able to put the moveset into my game till tomorrow. looking at the strikes it might be a case of power loading which on 08 worked a treat but 09 seems not to work as well. For the first set of grapples try in this order Gutwrench suplex DDT 1 Shuffle Side Kick Batista Lifting Toss (Not sure if this move works or not) Second set Piledriver 1 Scoop Slam 6 Clothesline 20 T-Bone 2 (I think I have Lauren's in the same position and she does it a lot) Ground Grapples I'd put the SS moves in the UP or second slots, the seem to use them there I have found. So if you give that a try and let me know if that works. Tomorrow I can take a better look for you.

Not a problem If the Batista toss doesn't work you can try a powerbomb, as Mel looks like a big girl so I imagine that she is a powerhouse.

Looks to me as well that you're loading up on the traditional high power moves, which, to me, seems it still transfers over the difficulty of hitting those moves this year constantly. I'd try to find some moves that you know aren't the biggest of impact moves, like the normal Suplexes and Scoop slams and such, and slide those in there as well. As well, add a limb move or something into the Quicks, I see those git hit frequently too.

What also helps is what type of CAW she is. Need to fit the type of CAW she is. For example, if she is "bad" or "dirty" then find moves that basically fit the CAW you are building. I like also to make moves that can feed off of other moves and moves that can easily set up your finisher/signatures.
Alot of high impact moves can be reversed so having alot of those are not the key either. Having a good mixture has always worked for the caws that I have seen or made myself. Another key is to make a few CAWS just to test what you have. This year's game is much different from the previous versions. There is no winner a.i. like in the past. It all boils down to match ups and what moves get hit or not. Probably not what you wanted to hear but this year it will depend on having a totally mixed CAW. I would say go with moves that fit your CAW or his/her persona and you will be fine. It can be a crap shoot but once you find the moves that set up other moves then that will be a winner.

OK I hate to say this but Candice killed Melissa, I didn't know which of the grapples worked because she didn't get a chance to hit them because Candice was beating Melissa to the punch. I think revising some strikes and including quicker ones, also I know they aren't as common on 09 but your FOF I didn't see.
I'll take a stab at a moveset for you trying to keep in mind what you want Melissa to be and either post here or send a PM. As I looked elsewhere and saw a lot of people offering advice.

I kinda figured that would happen. I've made some tweaks myself, but her moveset seems to be getting worse.

Might be a case of overload on ideas from people, I saw the same post in XWA and it got a lot more response than this one.

Yeah, I thought too much help wouldn't be a bad thing. The tips I was getting there didn't help anyway...

Quicker Strikes = win. That's all that Crymson has is a quick, straight to the point strike. Throws them off balance. In fact, Pryor's losing that spinning strike. Fuck that.

Pryor's who I've been testing against. Most times he just whoops Mel's ass. I'll do that with her strikes.

That Pryor's nothing compared to what I've been cooking up for him. Especially the overload of SS Moves for someone that, now that I can pick and choose what I want for him, may go through career mode again to lose the submission ability. I'm still on the fence about that, as in-game, I think very few wrestlers use it, including his major inspiration, Jericho.
