Just curious if anybody is looking forward to it?
I am 24 and for the last couple of years it wasn't really that memorable in terms of what I did, sat in front of the TV seeing old movies they show every year or the festive movies. This year looks to be a lot better though to be honest, also with my birthday so close to Xmas one tended to out weigh the other. However this year despite waking up sick this morning hopefully should be a great Xmas. Hopefully an alternative to turkey though *hates it* but yeah it's at my fiancees with her mother cooking which isn't a bad thing at all.
So anybody want to share what they think will happen with them on Xmas?

Christmas doesn't really feel like Christmas this year. Seems we're just skipping it.

*Sigh* Getting made to sit in church. First time I've done it in a non-funeral/wedding manner in like, 6 years. Hope the girlfriend likes my lack of attention inability to sit still in that... I warned her.

I can see Jerry's point though, I know some people due to the recession aren't even seeing family so I guess it they are skipping it.
I almost got dragged to a church last year. I am not one for churches probably for the same reason as Amanda.

I've always loved christmas, but for the past two years i have lost my festive spirit, and this year it didnt really even hit me until today that christmas is tomorow, i mean i've done all my shopping, but it just feels like another day, there's no build up, i guess its true that xmas is best for kids, because the anticipation used to kill me

Have to spend 2 hours in church tonight yayfunz when I haven't been to church in like a year... Afterwards should be fun as I'll be heading to my cousins house for a Christmas party and then there is always the gifts... so it should be a fun Christmas this year xD.

All my family except my girlfriend are going out of town for Christmas. Gives me more time to her so it worked out, and we exchange gifts so its cool this year. Better than the last few years that's for sure. Oh, and by the way, its the most expensive Christmas like ever for me . Spent like over 200 dollars in gifts.

<- spent over 2 grand on Christmas.
$700 on a family ring with Mine, my coming son, my fiances birthstones with 2 diamonds on each side keeping space in case we have another kid or two, or relatives who pass (her mom)
$150 on a watch for the fiance
$75 earrings for fiance
$200 on clothing/essentials for son arriving just after new years
$300 cash to my mom to help her get to Hawaii (Fiance paid other $200, moms bf pays for rest including spending money)
$600 cash to my father who got laid off recently from work (Works in a factory that makes seat belts. He makes $20/hr, 40hr weeks) so due to economy and the major car industry cut backs, he needs money to keep his apartment.
What am I getting for Xmas?
from fiance -> Xbox 360, extra wireless controller, SVr09, NHL09, NBA09, Lost game for 360, 1yr Live account, bunch of xbox points
from mother -> Lost season 1&4 on DVD, Surround sound system, 32" Plasma TV
from father -> a place to remain living while I earn more money to get own place with fiance and son.
==========
I'd settle for nothing and give everything, that is what Christmas is all about. Besides Halloween, Xmas is the only time of year I am happy. With a son about to be born, Christmas will mean EVER more to me, as I will be going all out to make Xmas special for him every year. That in itself, is enough to rejuvenate MY christmas spirit.
