I'm just curious about current thoughts on TNA and WWE. From new debuts, current storylines, to whatever you can think of.
WWE:
I enjoy their homegrown divas. You can insult them all you want, but recently we haven't seen much of matches like pillow fights or bra and panties. Plus, most of their divas aren't too expierenced or even good. In fact when most start out they're complete garbage in the ring, but they improve. Trish has gone from a talentless set of breasts to being considered WWE's greatest diva.
Also, I've actually enjoyed a lot of the newer people and teamups recently. Carlito and Primo as tag champs? Like it. Was tired of Edge Heads with the titles plus Carlito yelling at Primo for saying "that's cool" was entertaining. R-Truth distracting Shelton is entertaining and I actually get behind him more in WWE than I did when he was in WWE. Also, the new superstar iniative in ECW is nice. Though Ortiz is eh Evan Bourne is nice, though seeing as WWE tries to avoid people who wrestle as fast pace as Bourne(can't blame WWE for avoiding a style that has taken it's toll on plenty of superstars). I've got mix of feelings for Kingston though I'm a fan of Katie Lee Burchill lol.
Storyline wise. HBK vs Y2J has been entertaining. Shawn has entered asshole mode towards Y2J and he's still the good guy(rightfully so) and is one of the better storylines. Rey Mysterio vs Kane is kinda blah. It was sort of a letdown in a way, but it did pick up from the disappointment I had before this. Undertaker vs Big Show. I actually haven't gotten behind this like I should. Not because they have no technical ability(they're big men and have no need for it since people still like brawls) but mostly because it's been done. Even though it fits the gimmick and story Taker had with Edge before. I really hope they continue and follow through with CM Punk and Orton. To just drop it would be a mistake.
My complaints. Some stuff could be improved but it's typical stuff like selling by some people. Lack of real tag teams. You've got plenty of team ups, but facts are there aren't too many teams that are competing in the tag team division. Really all the complaints I have. I have no issues with Matt not beating Jericho and HHH in a triple threat match or Kendrick or MVP not being champions. It works cuz they still entertain.
TNA
Their tag teams. By far the biggest thing going in TNA's factor. You've got teams like Motor City Machine Guns who just are flat out entertaining when they get going. Then you've got teams like Abyss and Morgan that don't gel as well as MCMG but still entertain. Team 3D, MCMG, LAX, Abyss & Morgan, Prince Justice Brotherhood, and Rock and Rave Infection defefinitely have their place in the division(experience, power, speed, double teams, and even comedy)
X-Division. Davari is entertaining and glad to see him wrestle and actually do well. Petey Williams, Jay Lethal(without the black machismo, that just actually bores me), Sonjay Dutt, Consequences Creed, ect all entertain in teh ring.
Knockouts. I'm not a fan of them like some people seem to be. I actually prefer the WWE Divas to TNA knockouts. It's not that some of TNA Knockouts aren't as attractive as WWE Divas it's more of an on the mic thing and some of the team ups. Awesome Kong and her manager really don't make too much sense to me.
Storyline/Main Event. Storylines don't even entertain me even a small bit. Plus a lot of the former WWE guys who are main event don't hit me as TNA guys. I see them as WWE guys in TNA because TNA is taking big names of WWE and when TNA isn't the size of WWE that doesn't really work except get some attention to you. I'll get to why that's not helping TNA later. Also, they're main eventers that are TNA originals can't promo. I can't stand listening to Samoa Joe on the mic and AJ Styles has become repetive now. First saw him he was cool, now he's bleh and he's not good on the mic like most of WWE's main event so it doesn't make up for it.
Kevin Nash. He has finally found his role. The guy is injury prone now. He's more of a supporting role than main guy like he was in WWE. Kevin Nash is TNA and decently used.
My complaints. Simple. Motor City Machine Guns being a jobber tag team recently whether to big names or LAX. They are entertaining as hell in the ring when they use their double team manuvers(simple but not usually seen) and stuff afte rmatch is somewhat funny but highlights are their matches. Second is them ripping into WWE constantly. You can turn a blind eye to it if you want, but I find it kinda pathetic attempt to get attention since WWE doesn't really retaliate all that much. In fact, they pretty much ignore TNA existing when it comes to their segments. By ripping into Vince and WWE especially when it's done on camera it keeps me from seeing Kurt Angle and Booker T as TNA guys. I see htem as WWE guys in TNA.
So yeah what are your thoughts on TNA and/or WWE. What could be improved, what are they doing good, ect.
edit: wow this was long. didn't expect it to be that long lol
