Chicago Vacation

[Candice Angel]

$-Candi turned her head slightly as she reached for a few glasses from the mini bar separating Amanda and herself. Pouring them both a small amount of the chosen beverage, she just can keep her balance with both glasses in hand as the vehicle pulls away from the curb beginning their journey. Afterwards she hands Amanda her glass speaking up in response...-$

"Of course I have. I wouldn't be Candice Angel if I hadn't already scouted out the best possible place for us to get rid of some of this tension now would I? Took a while but I found the right place for us I do believe. We may not wanna leave after their done with us I think. Should be VERY invigorating I do believe. If not I'm letting you off of your leash and stepping back to pray for the poor saps."

"Aw... come on... I'm not that bad, am I?"

Amanda grins devilishly, raising her glass towards Candice.

"To fresh starts?"

$-Raising her glass in response to Amanda doing the same...-$

"To fresh starts 'Mandy..."

$-And with that just as Amanda had done the same, Candice tilted the glass back , letting the cool beverage flow out of the glass over her lips for a few seconds. A smile once again on her face as she lowered the glass and spoke again.-$

"Sounds as if you're pretty excited about the future then girl. I know how you think so tell me. What do you have up your sleeve already? If I know Amanda Wallace she's been thinking about something I'm sure."

She pauses for a second to drink some more of the alcoholic beverage in front of her before looking out the window.

"Of course I have. I don't think I was ready to give it up when I had to shut my company down. Think about it... you've been left with your father's legacy, and that's been cruelly taken from you... and I've had now two shots at something that I feel I did really well at... only to have an asshole ruin it both times. I think we both deserve our own shot."

She finally looks back at Candice.

"I think we both deserve a chance to run our own wrestling company. No ass-backward sibling rivalry where they all can't get along... no owner that tries to throw his weight around... just you and me... the same page... running our own company."

$-Candice's face instantly shown a bit of shock as her hand holding the glass in it paused momentarily during it's journey back towards the mini-bar between them. Another company? Another stint in the wrestling business? Those were things Candice thought to be in the past now. Things that she believed to be part of her past now. -$

"You mean...A brand new company...You and me...At the helm...Ag...Again? You REALLY want to get back into the professional wrestling business? Amanda you don't have anything to prove honey. You really don't. So why jump back into it? Did you enjoy the headaches and egos?"

"Honestly? I enjoyed the challenges of it. Making something that can be hyped, worthwhile, and sell-able... Could I need to be punished some more? ..... Maybe...

But I think you and I really have a shot at this, Candice. Take some thoughts on it... but wouldn't you seriously want to show your father that you could handle APW, instead of the chance being taken from you forcefully?"

"Well...Of course...Of course I would but...There's nothing I can do about that now and I'm not even sure that doing so with another company would prove anything you know?"

"I mean...APW was...An experience. And though I do have to admit to eventually becoming accustomed to the ins and outs of the place, as well as the people there...I...I just don't know. Maybe it's how things ended there that has me kind of jaded on the whole thing."

"This is where you right that wrong. I mean, look at how bad my company ended for me? I come back from injury, then find out the owner isn't even in his right mind anymore and can't financially back the company anymore. And this comes AFTER he's chased everyone away.

You and I both deserve this second chance, Candice. I didn't want to say anything until after we have our day out, but promise me you'll think about it?"

$-Wow. What an ambush from her good friend eh? Totally unexpected but well planned she had to admit. Get her while she's on the verge of the massage and shopping and maybe she'd just blurt out yes. No. No not this time. She wasn't going to agree to anything just yet but...Thought that the least she could do was agree to think it over. -$

"Well...I guess it can't hurt to think it over?...Meh, I guess I did KIND of enjoy the entire...Business thing this year. It's just that ending...Really bothers me. I put a lot into that place. A lot..."

"As did I. Like I said, think it over... we kind of really got the shaft in our own aspects. We deserve a second chance."

"Yeah. Maybe so. Maybe we do...Question though. IF...And that's a BIG if 'Mandy. If I did agree to...Really entertain the idea of a new promotion? You said just you and me right? No other over paranoid parties coming in saying that they want what's best for the company while all the while molding and shaping things to their personal liking? None of that?"

"On a heavy duty leash, IE Our easily terminated pay roll? Look... you and I make the decisions... anybody else is an employee. That's it. They've got a set responsibility and they follow it or we find someone else. We've both played enough of those games."

$-Her vision found it's way outside of the vehicle's dark tinted windows. Watching as the scenery passed by for a few moments before she chimed in once again.-$

"Damnit. You sure know how to dress it up and make it sound nice I see. I almost agreed in full just then. But...Okay...It...Sounds a bit...Promising. Nothing wrong with talking about it I guess. But we'd have to assemble a staff team as well though. Which won't be easy at all. Trust me although I'm sure you know, good ones are hard to come by."

"Not worth worrying about during my massage... I'll tell you that. More alcohol, please?"

A devious grin crosses Amanda's face. Hook, line, and sinker? Possibly... if Amanda was here to try to "sell" something... but no, this was a chance for both of them that she knew they just had to take...

The car started to slow down... Amanda's eyes shift outside the window. Studio Within spa...

"Have you ever been here?"

$-Raising her sights towards the establishment, Candice makes sure to get one last sip of her beverage before commenting...-$

"Actually no I haven't 'Mandy. Go figure eh? But I hear it's one of the better establishments here in downtown Chicago though so...I'm sure it'll be just fabulous. The very best for two of the very best in this...I mean...Who MAY be in this wrestling business. *Giggles* Almost got me there."
