Toreno Sat in his lockeroom. he looked down, and what he saw was 4 titles laying on the ground. he slapped his face and looked again. they were still there. he had beaten 3 amazing wrestlers in one night to be crowned GCW Mid-Atlantic Champion. but how, Toreno always thought of himself as the bridesmaid, the man who would always get so close, only to fall at the final hurdle. but tonight he had defied even his own expectations. to walk out of GCW Season one with 4 Gold belts. granted only two of them are recognized anymore. but that meant he could take the Mayhem And Lockup belts home and put them on his wall. but to hold 2 belts with such a prestigious history in one year was amazing. but now he had to start his own history, he now had the chance to make the Mid-Atlantic championship, and build it like such greats like Shia Storm, Jack Jyndal, Angel Fyre, Lauren Kennedy and james Hunter had done with their respected titles. wow.
A knock on the door is heard and toreno picks up the belts and puts them on his lap. he looks to the door again.

Lauren slowly pushes the door open, had cleaned herself up after her match. She was feeling pretty good, finally she had some closure. Lauren had beaten a former Top Debutante in Shelby Steele, something she had looked for since the departure of the First champion. Her head peered round the door and she saw that Toreno was dressed. Then she entered more at ease
"Congratulations champ"
She said in a chirpy voice, it was sincere though not in jest. Lauren walked over to Steve and sat next to him. She looked at his belt haul it was pretty impressive, and technically he had 4 belts at one time which had to be a record in GCW. She looked at the Mayhem Belt it reminded her of her time as a champion
"Feels good don't it, I would be here to give you some advice, as I suppose everyone else will also. However you should listen to mine because I am 100% right on it, not sounding like I have an ego but when you hear it you'll agree I am sure" |

Toreno looked at the debutante. a former holder of one of the now defunct belts. he looked down at the belts. he now had until next year to prepare for his first defense. and that was a long time. but it was always good to listen to former champions. Unlike his partner Jack, Toreno alway had a respect to champions and former ones. the way he saw it was that they earned his respect when they earned the belt.

Lauren smiled at him
"Ignore all other pieces of advice and keep doing what you are doing"
Pretty simple advice really when you think about it, see she was blonde but sometimes darn it the women made sense. Lauren looked down at all those belts again and she realised that she was probably looking at a future Continental Heavyweight Champion
"You have had an amazing season, partner choices aside. You could do so much better on that front, but as for titles you have certainly raised a few eyebrows"
Bastard Crossfire... Jyndal is not much better
Lauren then looked at Steve he seemed to be the most level headed of the guys out there, he seemed to show respect to people. Though the business with the LockUP title made people doubt him but surely by defending it and taking the Mid-Atlantic Championship in convincing style made people respect him as an athlete

Toreno Smiles. and slightly blushes. it was the first time anybody outside his immediate friends had told him he deserved something. it felt good after his war with MG and Jin Remmy, who both believed that the belt should belong to them. it felt good.

Ive seen your in-ring talents. and i think you will be the Debutante champion in no time. you just need the confidence, your win tonight was good, but don't stop there. i have a feeling that the current champion is looking back and starting to worry.[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]its great that i am Champion, but the real test now is time. we have a few months to recuperate from this season. but then in January its crunch time, we have to stay on form until then. and you never know maybe next year we could be sitting in the same place having a similar discussion, but with the Continental and Debutante championships in our possession.[/glow]

Lauren smiled a hint of a laugh coming through also, she never thought that far ahead in time. But on this occasion it was a nice thought. Lauren often was scared of what might happen in the future, this business one match can cost you your career

Lauren then patted her waist

Hey Steve, I gotta some sggression to get out, let's go to some clubs or something.....
Jack then walks in to see that Toreno was not alone, he then removed his sunglasses, and with a raised eyebrow, he looked at Kennedy...
What are you doing here?

Toreno looks from both Lauren to Jack. he didn't think they had a past. as far as Toreno knew Lauren only had a problem with Cal, and at that moment in time who didn't.

Jack looks over at Lauren....
Why don't you run along, men are talking....and if I'm not mistaken, you don't have a good history with men, so it would be in your best interest to stop poisoning my freind, and go find another guy's life to ruin....just like all the others....

Lauren walked over to Jack and smiled
"Steve is the reason you are a household name, I made myself a household name and I didn't need to scream it I just felt like it, actually I have three household names of mine. Nevermind you keep doing what you are doing and people will know who you are, or they'll say Jack ? You know Steve Toreno's partner"
Lauren then sniffed the air, then closer to Jack he still smelled of sweat
"I got to go suddenly the air has picked up a stench"
Lauren waves at Steve before leaving the room...
I few moments pass then the door opens
"Jack I can't not say this, take a shower"
Then Lauren leaves...

Jack looks down at Lauren and then watches her leave with cocky but angered look on his face.... Jack then turns to Steve...
Funny, the only thing I could smell was slut....how ironic, a slut that smells like one........
Jack then pulls up a chair, and grabs a water from a cooler on one of the benches....
Well, congrats man..... I mean you couldn't of done it without me giving you this title...
Jack picks up the LockUp title and gazes into it....
But you showed everyone that I made the right choice in giving you this title.....
Jack then hands it back to Steve....
but I hope you know, that almost everyone is going to be gunning for ya....I mean think about it....eveyone who was chasing the LockUp and Mayhem title, will ALL be after you.....but that's January....
Jack smurks sarcasticly, as he knows that what he just said may not be the most encouraging thing.....

Well first, I actually do gotta go grab a shower, but i dont kno, I could get all those chicks from the NS celebration, and get'em over here in a limo to pick us up.....oh yeah, and remember how we split them up last time?....well Cal aint here, so more for us...
Jack chuckles a little....
see ya in a bit man.....and keep those belts safe....wouldn't want any wannabe gangstas trying to steal them....
Jack then proceeds back to his locker room...
