Chamber Aftermath (o2a involved in the match)

The battle was over. The war was apparently over... or was it just beginning ? Tonight was LockUp's night. The combination of Shia Storm, The Avenger, & Brandon Payne came in and took care of business. Mayhem's represenatives gave it a valiant effort. But failed to topple the three men who dominated the GCW scene (or at least, just Shia & Avenger). Payne came back and delivered. Showing hardly no signs of ring rust whatsoever. All that was left to do was to celebrate his win and prepare for the fight of his life.

As the men celebrate in the ring. Payne walks over to the ropes nearby and grabs a mic. Raising it to his lips, he begins to speak to his partners:

Looks like we did it again, fellas. LockUp reigns supreme and I know Miss Masters is more then pleased with our performance here tonight.

Now, I'm not going to stand here and take cheap shots at our opponents. Because I know they gave it there best. As Starr said earlier. These three men were the best Mayhem had to offer.

Well.. if this was the best ? Then Mayhem does truly SUCK !

A mixed reaction is given from the crowd. So much for BP keeping his word about kicking his opponents while they are down. He is such a liar.

I mean, look at them ? If THESE guys are the future of this business ? Well, all I gotta say is thank god we took care of this cancer before it spread and killed this organization.

Seriously ! I mean, who the fuck wants to see these guys from Mayhem carry this organization after the true patriarchs are done with GCW ?

Fans give off another neutral action, but mostly positive.

If anything, the REAL stars of this industry just proved to the world that these guys from Mayhem are not in our league...PERIOD !

Fact is boys and girls. When I left this company. I flipped on the TV and saw nothing but crap run around on LockUP and Mayhem. Claiming there the best in this business ? I then said to myself: "These guys can't cut it without Brandon Payne !"

Fans begin to boo. This was all completely bullshit coming outta Payne's mouth. If anyone was going to by into his words. Then they are nothing but a damned fool !

Now, I lived up to my word and kicked Starr's ass all over this ring. All thats left to do is sit back and await the excuse.

Payne looks over at Starr.

So whats it gonna be this time ? Did you have a tummy ache ? Was your wrestling boots tied too tight ? Was you attacked again by the boogey man backstage ? Did that shirt of yours cut off the circulation to your brain ? I REALLY want to know

But, the real celebration doesn't begin tonight. No, No ! It begins when I watch you burn to the depths of hell come Exodus 2009. This is nothing more then a prelude of the things I will do to you at Exodus. If you thought the beating I gave you tonight was bad ? Ohhhh, wait until January.

Fact is, I'm going to come back even stronger, faster, and wiser then anyone in this company or in this business. If THIS was all you had in your tank. Then my friend, I am surely disappointed in you.

As for you two. As much fun as this been for me. I gotta say thanks for helping me look even BETTER then I already am. Don't worry, no need to thank me. Your free publicity was thanks enough for the last 2-3 months during my absence .

One other thing, Shia. Keep that belt nice and warm for me. Once I'm through with Mr. Future Shock over there. I'm gunning for you next !

Fans begin to boo. The fans figured Payne would be grateful to his partners. EVEN more gracious to his fans, and the people at GCW that helped further build him into the legend that he was destined to become. But in true, old school 'Genesis' fashion. He spits in there face and shows that he is only out for himself.

How would everyone react to his comments ? If anything, Payne was setting the stage for what could be an explosive 2009 year for GCW. Payne proved tonight with his recent actions that he was only out for himself. Not for Shia, Not for Avenger, Not Starr, Not GCW, his fans, or anyone else. But for him. The only thing that he valued more then his own ego was the Continental Championship Belt. A trophy that he was going to get back around his waist when the opportunity presented itself.

Starr just shook his head from ringside, dissapointed in the selfish display put on by the outsider looking in. He thought about cutting a scathing promo, putting him down and putting the match over, but he was just too tired to even bother. So he mailed it in

Yeah, ok Brandon. Your TEAM won the match. Woopdy freaking doo. Started off with a 2 on 1 advantage where I kept you and Avenger separated while I could. But even the mighty fall on rare occasion, and tonight, 4 men and a steel structure put me down for a 3 second count. I say 4 men because Manor gave me a nice cross body in there, but I expected that. Then Logan went down and it was an uphill battle from there, as the other men left in the match all had attacked me at one point or another.

Shame you didn't pin me though, which is the one thing I can hold over you. You had the chance. Avenger put me down and you could have pinned me, but Shia took that from you. Tell me though, what belt is it that Shia is keeping warm for you? He doesn't have one yet. Perhaps you've tapped into someones supply of drugs and have hallucinated that Shia won the continental title. Don't get me wrong, he probably has an equal chance to do just that, and if he does, then he's robbed you of your glory, as he's the credible champ your not.

Have a nice night Brandon, either way, because come January, your going to be a burnt marshmallow and I'll be the one holding you in the fire.

With that he drops the mic and leaves, a smile on his face. Future Shock won their tag match and that was what mattered to him most. Getting himself and his tag partner over, destroying the image that he was only out for singles glory.

Manor holding onto the cell and leaning against it just to stand after the beating he took this match gets a mic handed to him through the steel. Raising it he lets out a chuckle.

Bottom of the barrel huh? The shit you scrape off your own shoe? That's real funny for the self proclaimed King of Controversy. The man who thinks being out of a job because he either can't get the job done or he picks battles he can't win is controversy.

I could have put you out and cram all your talk about beating me in the past down your throat. But as this match showed. Neither Shia, Avenger, nor you could take me down by yourselves. It took the three of you brutalizing my ribs with a spear or slamming me into the metal floor or the cage to put me down. And in typical Genesis fashion you didn't get the job done.

And if tonight was your best, then after Exodus if you pursue that Continental TIlte, we will cross paths. And what'll happen. What'll happen is my past is going to beat you. I proved tonight I was the best Mayhem had to offer in this match. And best of all. If you were so much better than me, then how'd I last as long as I did in this match. How'd I start to get the advantage when it was down to just me and Lock-Up. Win as many battles as you want, but I always win the war.

Manor lets his arm drop down to his side still leaning against the chamber and holding onto it for support.

Just call it a gut feeling I suppose. Shia is good enough to win the CHC belt tonight. When he does, and when I am done with you. That belt will be mine once again.

Sure, we may have had the advantage over you tonight. But what did you expect. Despite my dislike for Avenger & Shia Storm. We are the three best superstars this industry has to offer. Did you really expect anything less ?

Win at any costs is how I see things. Do whatever you have to do in order to get the job done. Lie, Cheat, Steal, Screw someone over, pay the ref off, etc, etc. If you can't play the game, then go home. Sure, I may not have pinned you here tonight. But who cares about that. All I'm worried about is Exodus. Not tonight. What would that prove anyway ? Me pinning you tonight after all three or four of us put you down to sleep. Thats not fair to the both of us if you ask me. Nope. If I wanna pin Brent Starr or make him tap. I'll do it on my own terms.
