Manor is seen standing backstage with Graciela. Manor cracks his neck as Graciela starts the interview with a smile.
I'm backstage here with one of the six participants in what appears to be the greatest match of GCW.
Graciela turns from the camera towards Manor as she continues.
Scott most people seem to think your appearance in this match is nothing more than a gift to either you or Mayhem. They say...
Manor cuts her off with a wave of his hand though he still has a smirk on his face.
Let me guess. They say that it's a gift to me or rather to Mayhem to try and give Mayhem a shot at the Continental Title. They say they're doing this only to give Mayhem a shot at a belt the brand has never had. Maybe their right though. Maybe this is just a gift to me or to Mayhem.
Graciela looks a bit confused as she looks at Manor.
Well even your fans are having a hard time arguing against these claims. Most people say you just haven't proven yourself in the ring to deserve a shot. Especially seeing as your only accomplishment is Global Warfare Champion that you won in a handicap match.
Manor lets out a chuckle at the facts.
Ah back to this story. Yeah I won the Global Warfare Title in a handicap match. Yeah that's the only title I've won here. But you see I've always been a firm believer of it's not what you do in the ring that counts, but what you do outside that matters.
Could you elaborate on that last statement for all the fans?
It's very simple. I'm not gonna deny that I'm not the greatest wrestler GCW has ever seen. Hell in my career I've gotten my ass kicked more times than most men do. But for all those who have followed my career I've always made a fool out of my opponent. Look at our champion Cal. I haven't beaten him in a match. We haven't even faced off, but I made him look like a joke. I fired the first shot and got no retaliation from him.
If Lock-Up really is the superior brand, how can Cal let me do that to him without any retaliation. How can Kim let me make a mockery out of not only the Continental Champion, but one of her superstars. In fact, if Lock-Up is the superior brand, how did they a Mayhem superstar make them look like a joke like I did.
Graciela has a smile on her face as the mention of what Manor and Pryce did to backstage was brought up as would everyone who hated Cal.
Moving on though. Are you nervous about your match tonight?
Manor lets out another chuckle.
Am I nervous? Do you mean do I think I'll walk out of that match Continental champion? I don't know. You see, Avenger and Shia are both in this match. I know them pretty well and I'm sure they know me. They know what I can do, and hell Avenger has kicked my ass oh so long ago.
On top of that we've got Jack in this match. The man who beat Shia Storm for the Lock-Up Title. A man who either was extremely lucky or is extremely talented. If it's the latter my chances go down even more.
And then of course we've got Cal. And normally I wouldn't even worry about him, but he has a friend who knows me better than anyone. I mean you saw it for yourself that Brandon Payne is friends with Cal.
Yeah I saw them together as have many people. But what does it matter that Brandon and Cal are friends? I don't see how Brandon could be a difference maker during the match?
Physically he probably won't be. But Brandon knows me inside and outside the ring better than anyone. You see if I was facing myself I'd want Brandon in my corner, because time has proven one thing. Brandon is better in the ring. Brandon has kicked my ass. Hell he's even added insult to injury by putting me on the shelf once.
I see and what about Pryce? You and him seem to be allies. How will that affect this match?
If Pryce were to hit me from behind during the match I'd understand. Sure I'd be upset, but hey. This match can only have one winner and I know he wants that belt more than anything. If he holds back on me, then I'll kick his ass. I can't put it any simpler. We both know what's on the line and I've always been willing to do whatever it takes to win.
Graciela turns back to the camera with the mic at her mouth.
Well we've heard from Mayhem's own Scott Manor. Before we end this interview is there something you'd like to leave with the fans or your opponents.
Manor shrugs before responding.
Sure what the hell. Cal, staff saved you by putting me in this match. If they hadn't I'd have made your life hell even if Brandon tried to stop me. But even if you kick my ass during the match, the last laugh will be mine and this will be a pay per view you never forget.
With that Manor walks away singing "I Kissed A Girl" as Graciela looks at him a bit puzzled by his actions.
This certainly sounds like it'll be a match for all to remember. And given Manor's past and reactions what he seems to have in store for Cal may not be pleasant for him.
With that the screen fades to black.
