Shawn was just doing what he was told...but he did oversell quiet a bit...making Hogan look even worse IMHO.

True, but some really cool oversells are from RVD

RVD can make any move look like a match ender, with out looking like a total idiot *cough*shawn*cough*
especially that RKO, never seen anyone make it look so impactful

Often Over selling can be funny, I heard that Michaels was doing this because he didn't like the match outcome. To be honest I can't blame him, Hogan was well past his best but has creative control. Biggest mistake IMO. RVD can make it look cool, but I think in Shawn's case his intention was to make Hogan look more stupid
