"To tell you the truth, I'm not really here to dominate the competition, I just want to give the people watching us an entertaining ten to fifteen minutes of pure wrestling skill." She nodded to herself, "Wrestling is fun to watch when each person competing seems to have an equal chance of winning. It makes the match unpredictable." Shelby pauses unexpectedly, and begins to look around, "Do you have this feeling of someone watching us?" she asks Angel.

We have a different standpoint on things. This is your first go around in the major scene which is pretty much different than wrestling in the indy scene. Plain, and simple on that. I have been part of the major circuit in many places around, and know what to expect when it comes to coming out onto that ring, and say what I have to say, and do what I have to do in that ring to be successful. Its not about just being glad to be here for me. I am here to conduct my business, and be the top female in this place. Just a goal I set for myself every time I end up in a new place.

She looks briefly around the place as Ms. Steele asked if there was anyone looking at us.

Well, if there is, they must not want to be noticed I guess. Who knows right? I sure ain't going to be looking around the peepers unless the peepers become pest. I'll just let them be for now.

Shelby, not knowing how to respond, nervously extended her hand out for a handshake, usually people introduce themselves before saying anything, "Hello," she replied to his statement, "I'm Shelby Steele."

[Gabriel Cage]

Gabriel Cage walks through the halls and sees a few of the wrestlers.

Gabriel Cage: Exactly. What do we have here? Seems alot of wrestlers introducing themselves to each other. One to his own wondering who is the next big thing? I am a man who is a looker of talent. So yes Ms. Steele, I have been looking at each and every one of you. Someone that I can "bank" the farm on if you know what I mean. And you can put the wonder aside because tonight I will be at the PPV in the front row observing the best of the best. And I will make a splash at the PPV and more definitely at next week's show. Don't disappoint because I got huge plans for each and every one of you. That is if you are willing to pay the price to be the best in the business?

Genesis smiles as he too extends his hand out to Shelby. Normally, Genesis doesn't shake hands or greets just anybody. As over the years. He's found it hard to actually trust people and become friends with others. Too many former friends & allies have screwed him over so many times thats its hard for him to trust people nowadays.

However, with Shelby. He senses that Shelby may be cool and the kind of person whom he could trust:

Hello, I'm Brandon Payne. You can call me by that name or by my stage name, "Genesis". Whichever you prefer is fine with me.

Looks over at Shia & Angel.

You two.. what have you guys been up to since our little phone conversation several weeks ago ?

"Best in the business?" Shelby asked, but not to only Cage, but herself as well. That wasn't the first time she heard a statement like that. That statement had been thrown around her for the majority of her career. Everyone wanted to be the best in the business, everyone seemed to want to climb that ladder, and claim that title. Did Shelby want to be the best? Maybe at one point in her career. "I believe I've gone through enough experience to know that such a statement doesn't mean anything until you've proved to yourself that you're the best." She responds, "You can get called 'the best,' but until you live a life where you don't have any doubt concerning it, it sure doesn't feel like it." She extends her hand to Cage, "Greetings Mr. Cage. It's a pleasure to meet you."

[Shia Storm]

You mean the conversation you had with my husband bastard . We are doing fine. Taking care of our business in, and out of the ring.

Shia steps forward to where Angel is as he sees bp.

Let me guess BP, your ass got drafted over to Lock UP correct? Seems like alot familiar people seem to right in the same brand. Kind of interesting that, that happened don't ya think. What have you been up to since our little deal?

[Gabriel Cage]

Gabriel smiles and extends his hand.

Gabriel Cage: I will keep my eye on you Steele. Never know what will come to play after tonight. Just know that I got the ticket to the train of success as I am one that knows talent when he sees it. Good luck to you in your match tonight and your time here in GCW. Glad to meet you as well. I will have my eye on all of you. Just know that I am a businessman myself here to conduct serious business.

WOW ! Angel has developed an attitude here lately... hmm... I like that .

(Turns to Shia)

Look at it this way Shia. Now I have the chance to extract some revenge from months past. One of these days, we'll have to jump in the ring again. Don't think I've forgotten about that one victory you hold over me from 'the other place'.

You may have gotten lucky on that night. But this time, I'll be ready for ya.

Anyways, I've been doing great since the last time we spoke. Been training and getting ready to make my 'comeback'. I haven't been in the ring for a while so.

(Turns his attention to Gabriel Cage)

"Best in the Business" eh ? Interesting...

Gabriel turns to Brandon Payne

Gabriel Cage: I know a little about you. Someone that desires to be the best in the business. Reminds me a little of myself really. Saying you are the best is not the same as being the best. Your talent is worthy for that description. I have had my eye on you for a while now. Just like your friend there Shia Storm. Just rubbing my hands together to see what heat will arise from all of that.

Just an observer but know that with my keen eye you can bet that I am not in GCW for my health or for a free ticket to see the competition here in Chicago.

[Shia Storm]

Kind of didn't think you'd forget about that night when I beat you, or the other night when I defeated you in a battle royal, you have a thing about avenging losses, or attempting to. You also by now that I don't mind a challenge or face anyone. If that happens to be that you, and I lock up in another match, fine with me.

He turns his attention towards cage.

Had your eye on me huh. Guessing you are one of the Talent agents for the company or some high ranking position for gcw?

Gabriel turns to Shia and loves his enthusiasm.

Gabriel Cage: Your name is Shia Storm, right? Just wondering since I love your spirit. You seem like a no nonsense guy. I hope you bring that same excitement in the ring as you do out here. I see big things for you Storm. Don't let no one slap you in the face. Can't wait to see how you react tonight in the ring. Just take a look from time to time to the man in the front row. He will be the one "observing" the talent.

Seems like we have a date with destiny later.. I'll have to keep my tabs on you throughout the year. You just never know when I'm going to strike.

*Turns to Gabriel*

You do have a point about being the best. True enough, anyone can come out and say they are the 'best in the business' so to speak. Its nice to see someone that seems to agree with me a bit with that.

Its not really a thing about me being 'the best' sir. I KNOW that I'm the best (laughs). I say this because I've been through it all in the past two to three years of my career. Through all the ups and downs, and I'm still standing !

You say that your here to keep an eye on all of us here in GCW. Seems to me though like you have another motive besides that ?

So tell me Mr. Cage.. whats the real reason why your here ?

Shelby goes next to Angel, and whispers into her ear, "Is it me, or is Mr. Cage here, starting to sound like a broken record?"
