The bell rang... the match was over.... Genesis once more, reigned supreme. All the doubts of his current streak as Continental Champion being a 'fluke' are now out the window. As proven tonight, he will be tough customer to defeat.
Genesis... gets up off the mat. With his hand raised in victory. It was time to move on to another superstar. 187 was a good opponent...yes...he was. But again... like so many others before him. He failed to defeat Genesis, for now the 2nd time overall.
Genesis grabs a microphone nearby and then begins tp speak:187.... get the hell outta my ring. Your taking up my spotlight time. Fans begin to boo loudly as Gen. continues:What you've just seen.... was an act of justice being served. 187, ran his mouth, ruffled a few feathers, and tried to undermind me for weeks. NOW look at him. He got dealt with !
Now that I am through dealing with this trash over here. I think its time to take care of something that should've been dealt with from the beginning.
There's a certain individual backstage that has been giving myself and The Elite one headache after another. He and his little buddy have been a thorn in my side for the last couple of weeks.
Throwing there little insults, wise cracks, childish humor, etc. Fans start to erupt. I think you guys know exactly who I'm talking about. Mr. 'Bad to the PWN' himself...Brent Starr !Fans begin to cheer: Brent... I know you've been waiting to get a shot at me for the longest time. From the comments you've made with Lionheart. I know you would love to come out here right now and rip my head off in front of the world !
And you guys would probably love that ?Fans begin to erupt into a feeding frenzy. Yeah.. that would love to see that happen. Seeing Genesis get his is something the people have been waiting on.Yeah, yeah, yeah ! Laugh it up, enjoy your 'dream'. Because thats all it is. Just one big stupid....Music begins to play....cutting Genesis off as he utters to himself: dream....
..... .....
ah fuck !Harvey Bazztard: Well Genesis, I guess dreams CAN come true, haha !

...indeed they do as Brent walks from the back, a towel over one shoulder, drinking from a bottle of water as he makes his way down to the ring. He takes his time, eating up the atmosphere and prolonging the feeling of whats to come. He circles the ring, one round trip, before stepping up the steps with a mic he had grabbed from ringside. Slowly, methodically, taking his time and letting it get to the champ in the ring, he steps through the ropes and looks Genesis right in the eye before beginning the verbal war that was to ensue First off, congratulations. CONGRATULATIONS! On beating a man that's been dying to break from the middle of the pack, to the top for over 2 years. No knock on 187, I consider him a good friend, actually. But personally, in the company at this point, he was not up to par to beat you. Obviously, as everyone here witnessed tonight.A chorus of boo's and "187" chants ring out from the crowd But, the industry works in ways that the deserving wait their turn. Sometimes it comes quick, sometimes it takes awhile. Then sometimes, a bountiful amount of obstacles are placed infront of them. To climb, to jump, to ascend and achieve, even more then they have to reach that place when what they deserve, they get.
You, you went through obstacles of many sizes and numbers to get to this night, to remain champion of GCW and now, you get what you deserve, and thats a beating at the hands of the man, known throughout this industry as the uncrowned KING, the under utilized weapon, the god on earth who walks amongst the weak and tramples the many. Many of power, many of nothing more then sweat and blood to stain the ground he walks on. Your blood, your sweat, your BELT, will hit this ring mat and it will all fall at my hands. The live crowd was eating it up, and no doubt the millions upon millions paying to watch via Pay Per View, were on the edges of their seats with anticipation You speak of immaturity, insults, wise cracks and humor?
Humor me this. Why is it, that you hold the title and you dictate the men you face. When a challenge was made months ago, by me, telling you I was coming for that belt. You could very well have fought me then and had your win at a weak point of my career. When I was rusty, disillusioned and prone to, probably allowing you the choice of any match you wanted. Yet you decided to fight 2 men at a time, show after show, racking up wins against the men I've tossed aside before. That proves nothing, other then you can do the same I've done.. years ago. Where as you are achieving many things, I've done the same or better, earlier in my career. Battling some of the best this industry has to offer, from new york, to japan, to canada and back here to Chicago. Some "GCW" chants break out in support of the company So why wait this long? Why put yourself through such torture of never knowing when this day would come? Most of all, why even bother trying to pass off your challenging me earlier as something you did as a final recognition to me. It wasn't balls that made you do it, it was the realization that you had to, to save face, and make you look like the hero infront of your "buddies" in your little mock "elite" group.
Your not elite though, your weak, your feeble and your feeding off the fact the four of you can't do it alone, that you need eachother to pat one another on the back and say "Goodjob" and "don't worry brandon, he'll never know you wanna be just like him". But I do know! I know you want so badly, to be able to be 1/100th of talent I am. I don't blame you, their is no better than I in this game. It's just a shame you have to lose so soon though. I mean, MayheM is only a week away, that is when you challenged me for, right? MayheM! Yeah.. so, you better shine that belt realll nice, seeing as you'll be losing it by this time next week. That was the breaking point. He had said too much and rubbed in more then was allowed by standards. He got cut off by Genesis, as he had finally heard enough

Why did I wait this long Starr ? I wanted to fight you at your very BEST ! I came to GCW to fight the elite, no pun intended, in the business today. You are right, I could've easily accepted your challenge and faced you months ago. Hell, I could've easily beaten you back then. The days when you were a shell of your former self. But... I didn't want to do that. Doing that would be unfair to the both of us.
When I fight my opponents. I want them at there best. Both in the ring and on the mic. I can see you got the 'mic' part down pat. Lets see if you can actually back up your word ? Something you haven't done as of late.
You've taken Logan Steel down tonight. I WOULD say that I was impressed... but I'm not really to be honest. Its easy to beat someone in a 2-on-1 disadvantage. When it really mattered the most. You & Lionheart couldn't defeat both Logan & Avenger. Weapons or no weapons, fact is, they beat you both fair & square.
And to think, you both truly believe you are 'real contenders' for the GCW World Class Tag Belts ? Pfft, gimme a break. And since that didn't work out. Here you are, wanting to face me for my title ? And on such an inferior show like Mayhem ? Harvey Bazztard - You damn right he does Genesis ?First off, I never said a word about defending my belt against you on Mayhem. If I said such a thing. I would've remembered and gladly would've given you the shot. Apparently, your being delusional. Which, I'll forgive you for. Since you seemed to be lost in your own world. Where Brent Starr is the ruler of all things that exist in mankind. All I gotta say is wake up ! Snap out of your dream world and come back to reality. Where in reality, I am currently #1... and you.... are 2nd best at the very least .
While that offer sounds tempting. Unless you can convince me otherwise... I'll have to decline. Besides, it would violate the terms of my contract. Which clearly states that as long as I am Continental Heavyweight Champion. I can and will not defend the belt on any televised show for the exception of Pay-Per-View events. Crowd begins to boo. Gosh... they really wanted to see Starr vs Genesis. Looks like because of his ego. That may not happen.... or is that really the case ?Harvey Bazztard: As much as I hate to admit it. Genesis is right for once. It is in the rulebook. Besides my friend, you haven't done anything in GCW to qualify to be a worthy contender. Sure, you beat Psycho down several times. I've been there and done that already myself. You & Lionheart grabbed a so called 'big win' here this evening over Logan. Now thats really something to brag about (sarcasm).
What have you really done in GCW ? What have you done in this company to even let me even consider giving you a title match ?
And no.. your past doesn't matter. I'm talking about the present, not the past here. So maybe if you can persuade me to give you a shot. Then perhaps... I can fit you into my schedule.
With a smirk across his face. Genesis begins to think of a plan to stop Starr in his tracks if such a thing would occur. If Brent wanted to get Genesis in the ring for the belt. He would have a long and treacherous road ahead of him.
With all of this talk of me trying to be like you. I often wonder if its you that wants to be me ?
We've both in this business for about three years right ? I've rolled with the same 'm.o/song & dance' since the day I began wrestling. Fact is, I was the guy who was the perennial 'bad guy' of the business. The man who is and always will be the ultimate bad ass. Despite what your little boyfriend Lionheart says. I was the guy who stood up to him & Bischoff both in Atlanta during my rookie year. Telling them each to go fuck themselves. I was the man who was the most hated S.O.B of that organization... both inside and out.
Then a guy like you comes along. Takes my gimmick, retools it with his own set of phrases and such, taking all the credit. Yeah.. you might have been the man who turned the gimmick into something more. But the fact remains, I was doing it way before you could ever imagine.
I really don't want to get into all of that. Fact is, i can care less of what you say. I don't let those things bother me like they used to. Now.... I just don't give a fuck. Hated by many and loved by few as I always say.
Fast forward three years later. Our paths cross for the first time. Both of us coming from two different worlds in professional wrestling. Yet both followed with a similar attitude towards the business. As much as I know you would like to deny it. The fact is, we are one in the same you and I. Its almost like I'm looking into the eyes of my own flesh and blood...
We've both been rebellious through our careers. Had our differences with federation owners. Both have won many titles throughout our illustrious careers. Yet here we stand. Bickering back and forth, to see who has the biggest ego. Genesis then lowers his mic. Giving Starr a chance to speak:

Both of us have won titles? I'm afraid not, Genesis. You have won your belts. I've been ontop of my game for 3 years now, and every time I'm due my shot, some big shot chump of a champ decides to throw his weight around and play the "PUNK" card. Putting the entire company between me and the gold. It's always been "beat this guy, get your shot" or "Beat these guys, you get your shot".
Whatever happened to the honor and integrity of a champion admitting he has a deserving challenger and putting the belt on the line, the old fashion way? A straight up battle, in a singles match! Instead, we're subjected to 3-ways, 4-ways, survival matches, senior pissy pants on a pole matches and anything else that can keep a title of worth, around the waist of the worthless.Mixed reactions amongst the fans watching idly as they don't know who to cheer in this situation So I'll leave you with that, and one final thought.
What kind of champ are you? One who has to hide behind his friends and every obstacle he can place before him, because he knows he can't keep the belt 1 on 1.
OR a MAN of a champ, who will MAN THE FUCK UP and put the belt on the line, with honor, integrity and BALLS. The old fashion way, one on one, no run ins, no managers, no cheating. Nothing but the gifts god gave you in the ring. Because I know I can beat you, and beat you BAD. The question is, do you know deep down, whether you can beat me?With that, Starr holds the mic out infront of him, and drops it with a loud thud as he turns his back on Genesis and walks away, heading to the back.

Interesting comments. Yet, all the same. Same old boring, repetitive, song & dance from Brent Starr. Bellyaching and bitching about this and that. When will it ever stop ? Its really getting old. Nonetheless, Gen. was becoming quite amused by all of this. It seemed that Brent couldn't get over anymore unless he had to shoot his mouth off. Which was fine. Genesis has dealt with it all before. However, Gen. wasn't going to stoop that low. Maybe in the old days....but now..... the King had grown up and knew better then that. Today, Genesis. Despite his ego and his cockiness. Was, and always will be a team player. Whether it be for the Elite or the GCW. Its about we, not me.
Where are you going ? Don't tell me your putting your tail between your legs and calling it a night ? Pfft, Figures...
Just for the record. You damn right I love to throw my weight around Starry. When your the man. When you have the top spot in the company. You'll do anything to stay there. GCW is my backyard. My Home, my Kingdom. That will never ever change. Fact is, while you was out searching for an identity several months ago. I was headlining Exodus with Avenger. Putting butts in the seats. Something that you have failed to do since Detroit.
When you was having your fun with Psycho. I was out winning my first Continental Championship. Which was overall, my 2nd 'World' Championship. While that number may or may not mean much to the people here or anywhere else. It means alot to me. Because throughout all of the bullshit of the politics and backstage propaganda that I had to go through for three plus years. I shut up all the critics and proved that I can still make it to the top.
You stand before me and act as if your the greatest thing since sliced bread. Well... in my eyes. Your no different from everybody else. Just another loud mouth punk who wants the business for himself. A man who doesn't give a fuck about the company deep down. Nothing but a bitter....overrated.....self-absorbed.....asshole !
Crowd begins to boo. Not agreeing with those remarks whatsoever.
(looks out at the crowd) SHUT YOUR MOUTHS !!! You speak when I order you to speak !
Strong words coming from the champion. He was standing his ground and not backing down from Starr. He respected Starr's abilities. Yet on the other hand. Gen. could do without the bad attitude.
You wanna know what kind of 'champ' that I am ? I'm a champion who gives deserving individuals there due. Each and every month. I examine the talent in the locker room. I watch what goes on with them. I see what the boys get into. I observe and watch them rise to the occasion and elevate there game to the next level. Fact is, there's plenty of GCW Superstars who would love to be standing here in front me, just as you are now. Waiting in line to get a shot at me and this belt. I chose you Starr. Not because you cried & complained about not getting your shot. Not because of your bogus challenge to me months ago. But because I felt it was your time to step up to the plate and knock one out of the ballpark.
Yet you stand here and treat me like dirt ?? Whatever man... here's the deal.
In the next several weeks. I've arranged for you to partake in a little activity. Starting at the House Show next week. You will be facing members of The Elite in a series of Singles Matches. Yeah... your kind of matches.
You'll face Logan Steel next week. If you win, you'll go on to face The Avenger at Mayhem. Then finally, Shia Storm on LockUP !
However... there is one little stipulation
If by chance, one of the members of The Elite defeats you. That member of The Elite will get your title shot at the PPV. And you Brent Starr.... will be OUT of the contention.
Call it another obsticle....another hurdle to overcome.... I call it a test. I wanna see just how 'GREAT' you really are. Earlier tonight, you threw up that little singles record and bragged about how you was virtually unstoppable. Lets just see if you are as great as you say you are.
If you win those matchups. You'll get exactly what you want. You'll face me at the PPV.....one-on-one......singles matches.... no gimmicks, no interference, no bullshit, just me and you....and the title !
Crowd gives a somewhat of a mixed reaction. It'll be a tough road for Brent to overcome. But if he is as good as he bragged to be. It shouldn't be a problem for him. Besides, this would give Genesis some time to scout his possible opponent for the upcoming PPV event.
There's my offer Starr. Take it or leave it. If you don't accept. I'm sure there's about a dozen or so guys who would cut off there left leg to be out here and compete for my belt instead.
So.... what will it be ? Yes or No ?
That... or you can just keep on walking...
Gen. lowers the mic.

He stopped to listen to the drawn out rebuttle from the champ. When all was said and his thoughts finished, Starr just nodded and smiled. "The more things stay the same, the less they change" This was no different then any other time he was at the peak and about to throw someone from the same peak
