Shelby was sitting down backstage, laughing. It wasn't a "Hah! I'm better than you laugh," it was a "Hell, isn't that hilarious?" laugh as she Shelby threw a towel over her face, the dampness cooling herself off. You see, Shelby had the opening match tonight against a Miss Veronica Valentine, and lost. Then, around an hour later, Shelby's closest friend in the LockUP locker room, Jennifer Drew, also fell victim to Valentine's seemingly lightning fast kicks. They both lost. LockUP's Debutante finest, both lost in the same night, to someone who's only been in the company for the last....give or take, two hours.
Pulling the towel off from her face, still somewhat laughing, she's greeted with a friendly face...

Friendly, if a bit pained. Jennifer walks up still clutching her head after being taken down by Veronica. The whole time she felt confident and then wham, she was booted and then done.
God, what kind of person would just go up and kick you in the head like that? Seriously, doesn't she realize what that does to a person? Plus when I heard Vixen Climax my mind was miles away.
There's that weird laughter again. Jennifer keeps it up until her head punishes her for it.
So, what's the big picture here?

"Big picture?" Shelby responds, rolling her shoulders a bit as she gives Jennifer Drew her perfect smile, "We just got out asses whooped by someone who's only been here give-or-take a week, and well...don't you find it hilarious how we apparently just fed the gigaton ego that is Veronica Valentine? I wouldn't be surprised if she's out there, right now, doing some type of picture-perfect victory dance." Shelby then grabs the remote nearby her, and turns the volume up on the monitor, and sure enough, Veronica was out there. She then mutes it. "How much you want to be bet that it's your generic response to doing something seemingly monumental?"

Yep, I'm thinking something along the lines of soaring pose “Still got it no matter where she is,” “Best in the business” “Legend” oh and sorry to bring this one up but “Next champion?” Covering all her bases I bet, prepare to have it seriously rubbed in.
She takes a seat next to Shelby. That was a relief, she felt the pain dull just a little now that she was off her feet and catching her breath more. Still there was every chance that seeing that kick again could make it much, much worse.
I really don't want to watch this again, but I think it'll build up a nice little ball of rage inside me that I can just bring up whenever I want. Hopefully on her, and hopefully very soon.

Shelby then smirks, "Don't worry about it Jenny. After I have a little chat with a Miss Vanessa Bloom, I'm sure that within due time, we'll both have our little revenge match against that that...well, insert bad word here." What did Shelby have planned? Why have a chat with the MayheM General manager? Turning off the TV, just as Veronica was about to bring that microphone to her lips, she stands up. "Just keep yourself open of the pay-per-view. Somethings a-cookin' in this noggin." She lightly laughs at her comment as she playfully punches herself in the head.

Jennifer smiles at that. She didn't expect to hear this right now but damn if it wasn't welcome.
Revenge? Ooh, now you're speaking Jennese. I think I can probably squeeze that in come Danger Zone. Can't think of anything I'd rather be doing that night, really. So once you and Miss Bloom decide to hatch you eeeevil scheme, I'll come along. Just don't do that right now.
She said referring to Shelby's gesture.

DURING THAT TIME

Veronica had just celebrated with the fans in Chicago. The GCW fans were unique and loud! She enjoyed it a lot. Fans were believing in her, even here. Even with the fact that she was like an outsider coming in... and kicking everyone's ass. She was now 3-0. Unstoppable. Like at the end of 2007 in VWE. Again, many fans were talking about the She-Devil.
Her popularity was going up for the GCW audience. She was so proud of herself. Even the GCW employees were impressed. She was victorious in every way possible tonight.

Her celebration tonight? She would start with a fucking hot shower.
She closed the door of her locker room. |
