<DISCLAIMER>
The following video represents the views and opinions of one Brandon "Genesis" Payne. Talking about topics relating to the wrestling industry and life in general. And do not represent views and or opinions of the GCW federation. His comments may offend and piss some viewers off. Although, none of the things said in this video log are not meant to be taken 'personally' or as a 'shoot' !
With this said...read at your own risk !

*After a video package airs of highlights from Genesis' career in the past two years. We see Genesis sitting in a black-leather recliner in the center of the same broken-down, wrestling ring as seen in the last 'episode'. Kicked back, and relaxing. With a bottle of Rolling Rock in his hand as the camera's start to roll.*
Welcome to yet another exciting edition of the "Controversy Log". I am your savior... your leader... and of course, your "King of Controversy"... GENESIS !
Loved by few...
Hated by MANY...
Any day that I'm above ground...
Is a great freakin' day !

*Gen. raises his beer up to his lips and takes a sip before continuing on*.
Now originally, for today. I had planned for a special interview with fellow GCW Superstar Veranica Styles. However, due to 'travel issues'. Miss Styles couldn't make it. I'm hoping that we can reschedule and get that interview in for a later date.
With that being said. The show will go on. So lets get to my topic for today, which is:
SUPERSTARS & WRESTLERS: IS THERE REALLY A DIFFERENCE ?
Okay.. some of you people watching this video are probably saying:
"Brandon, the terms 'superstars' and 'wrestlers' have the same meaning. There's no difference between the two".
Well today, I'm here to set things straight with all of that. 'Wrestlers' is self-explanatory. Thats the term everybody thats in the wrestling business goes by.
However, the term 'Superstars'. ORIGINALLY was used as a Hollywood term for actors and actresses. It wasn't until the "Golden Age" of professional wrestling in the 1980's. Where Vince McMahon bought his father's company just prior to his dad's death and wanted to turn 'wrestling' into 'sports entertainment'. In the midst of all that. Vince had started calling his wrestlers, 'Superstars'.
Now, as time went on and the wrestling industry grew into this big, corporate media conglomerate. Everybody today is calling wrestlers "Superstars".
Now why does this bug me ?
Well, call me an 'old-schooler' all you want. But, I for one, am not a superstar. I'm a professional wrestler and nothing more then that.

*Genesis picks up his Rolling Rock beer bottle and takes several drinks from it*.
What really brings my piss to a goddamn boil is how the wrestling industry as turned into one huge 'Soap Opera'. Inside and Outside the squared circle.
There are a handful of individuals that DO deserve to be called Superstars. Simply for the fact that these so called 'wrestlers' do nothing but whine, bitch, moan, complain, kick & stomp when something doesn't go there way. Like a 5 year old, spoiled rotten child throwing a temper tantrum.
To me, those wrestlers need to be called Superstars. In my eyes, those people would definitely win an Oscar every year for half of the stuff they complain about.
It really makes me laugh every time I see this happen. Because most of these people are billed as 'big time players' in our industry. Ninety percent of the time. These people either take the business WAY too seriously or only care about themselves !
In my eyes, those people DO NOT live up to the hype whatsoever..
Its these men and women that hold talented, hard working, wrestlers back. The ones who actually give a FUCK about there careers and the people around them that they work with each and everyday !
Now to some people, they may look at me and call me a hypocrite. Well, thats your opinion and I respect that.
Just keep in mind that the subject matter I discuss on each video log is proven FACT ! Either done by my own personal research or just common knowledge from a man who's been around the block for nearly three years to know how this business is today.
With all that I have spoken about. Where does Brandon "Genesis" Payne fall into any of this ?
Well... I came into the wrestling industry in 2006 as a wrestler. So you can bet your ass that when its time for me to move on. I will leave the industry a "wrestler" also.
As hard as it is to believe sometimes. I for one actually give a damn about the people I work with and the company I'm involved in. When I got more experience and grew into a bigger name within' this industry. I NEVER changed into a superstar.
True that I might be an asshole to people. Yeah, I realize the things I say and do will piss people off. But hey, thats what made who I am and why fix the wheel if its not broken ?
So for all of those 'superstars' out there who watching this. I have NOTHING personal against any of you at all.
On a professional level, however...
Its time for you all to stop crying, put your 'wrestling' boots back on, and live up to your 'reputations' as being the best that people say you are.
Most importantly... GROW UP !
...Book Closed...
...End of Story...
...Deal with It...
