Evolution is a mystery
A small change that no one sees.
Oh Dear....
Blanks sounds in a dark room. The sounds of a clock on the wall tick past time while tocking past sanity. Her eyes flutter in the dim lighting, she tries to look around. The only real light, coming off of the wall clock.
Clock makes a fool of history .
Yesterday's so long ago, don't agree with what I know .
... Where am I-..... ohhhhh....
Her mind races, her thoughts run around loosely. Memories flood in from all angles around her, she clutches her head tightly and shivers through the pain. The rustle of her hospital gown shrinks her mind back to reality. A gown? She looks down at the smock like apparel covering her body. Confused, she slowly gets up off of the little bed. Every muscle in her body in pain, she falters and stumbles slightly forward.
... Oh God..
Tomorrow becomes a place to be.
All of the memories hit her at once. Her body contorts, sending her down to the cold heartless floor before her. Clutching her ribs she screams out in pain, it almost seems to echo in the emptiness of wherever she is. The pain... the pain.. she lets out another scream as it shoots through her entire body rapidly. Almost as if needles were stabbing at her from the inside out. She coughs up blood for a moment, it spatters across the cold floor.... before regrouping in the corner of the room.
.....
I see the line in the sand
Time to find out who I am
Looking back to see where I stand.
She places her hands forward, crawling on her hands and knees towards the direction of her.... mobile blood. She reaches the corner slowly but surely... her hand comes down on the bubble of blood pooled up. It breaks, scatters.... and trails back up into the palm of her hand. She blinks once, confused... in a daze. Turning her hand over she stares at her palm... not a mark on it, not a single drop of blood.
Evolution...
Evolution...
...Oh dear.....
Somewhat under climatic words leave her mouth as she manages to struggle herself upright. The glass tints, reflecting her image back at her from all angles of the windows. She places her hand on the glass and looks at her reflection carefully. Her eyes, her hair, her lips.... all of it seemed so new, yet familiar....
See my reflection change.
Nothing ever stays the same...
She leans in closer to the glass, almost resting her head against it as she continues to stare at herself. She had known already through her memories... this face didn't belong to her. Neither did this body... they were of another woman. Another person already living and breathing in her lifetime. She squints her eyes hard, trying to gain sight through the tinted effect of the glass. Upon giving up... she backs up, and slams her right fist through the window, shattering it and scattering broken glass all over the inside of the dark room... and the well lit hallway outside of it. Blood trickles down her forearm, she watches as it slowly crawls back up her arm...
But you know the name's the game.
We all know what it means
Nothings ever what it seems...
She reaches her arm around the side of the outside wall, grabbing the doorknob she turns it and pushes the door open slowly. Her feet make crunching sounds every time her footsteps crack the broken glass under them. Empty halls... the lights hanging from the ceiling tend to swing gently as if in a breeze. She looks up at them before turning down the next hallway, the scent of fresh air was already within her senses.... she just had to find it's source.
Unforgiven
Unforseen...
The fresh air hits her face as she turns a fourth corner in the winding halls... the exit was blowing open. The door blowing in a gust of wind back and forth back and forth. She walks slowly, trailing her fingers on the wall as she takes each step closer to the exit, to the outside world. She stops in the doorway of the exit, the giant metal doors swinging rapidly in the wind as it picks up force. She exits the facility slowly... her feet touching the cold hard wet cement. She looks up at the sky as the rain drowns down onto the planet, soaking her from head to toe quite quickly. She closes her eyes and smiles slowly.... the rain begins to stop just above her face. Falling all around the rest of the ground....
I see the line in the sand
Time to find out who I am
Looking back to see where I stand.
Hmmm.... so nice outside.......
She walks with the lightweight feel of air under every step. The building seemed to be in a remote area... the surrounding area wasn't in a populated city. She reaches a large metal gate at the front of the compound, the sound of metal being set down... and footsteps rushing all around behind her reaches her ears within seconds. Turning slowly... she notices a large amount of well armed and secure team of men lined up. She smiles softly before a larger man steps forward, in a fully suit of body armor. He approaches her location slowly, gun in hands...
"Alright... Rozelyn?.... You need to come back with me.."
... Rozelyn?
"That's your name now... lets go back inside."
.... But I don't want to.
He comes closer, seconds away from placing his hand on her shoulder. Suddenly a large buzzing sound begins, the little walkie talkie like device on his shoulder pad begins to activate. Sounds of a feint voice blare through it's grids. She looks in confusion at him before he backs up and picks up the device. He begins to speak but is cut off abruptly. He looks at her, shaking his head before he turns around and walks back to the line. She`s left in confusion, the large gate begins to open behind her. Rozelyn as she`s known.... turns around and smiles before walking out the gate... freedom. Hmm.....
Evolution...
Evolution...
Wonder where she is....
Take That Hope.
