How had she arrived to this point in her life?
Everything... so promising. So fulfilling. Lives were helped, touched, by her hands... She was a model student growing up... and she was all state on her girl's high school soccer team. Where did everything go so wrong for Lacey Carlton?
One... simple guidance of the hand, was all it had taken to plummet a life worth living... into, in her eyes... a life worth losing. That simple guidance of her hand? Took a life... whether or not it was her who pulled the trigger... but it went against each and every moral she thought she had embodied and taken as her own. She assisted... a suicide. To prevent a youngster from spending hard time in prison. Someone who could have changed for the better... someone who could have become a contribution once the harsh lessons of her chosen path of life were learned.
But she robbed her of that chance. And now... how fitting...
Lacey has yet to have been in shelter since she mysteriously disappeared from the GCW Tower shortly after registration. A cold snap had struck the midwest region, barely a week shy of Christmas.
Each year, spent at her mothers, up until Lacey's mistake. Warm fire, turkey dinner, the gifts she had put a lot of thought in to handed out... now? Lacey was like a ghost. Her mother didn't even see her in her last trip to Fort Wayne... nor the previous two years before that. She probably didnt' know the circus lifestyle her daughter had been living.
And she probably won't ever know... that her daughter...
has just collapsed on the cold sidewalks of Chicago. A victim of the cold.
