Biography
Briggz grew up in a project environment in St. Louis, Missouri. He never had much, and by all means had to do what he had to do to survive. Now before I go into everything let me take you to the day he was born. Briggz was born August 19th 1987, under the name Steven Elijah Briggz. Growing up he never liked his name much, and got in many fights over it. It was not long before he got into one fight that would cost him his freedom. Briggz got into this argument with this guy, about a pair of shoes , not just any pair, it was some old school Jordans. A pair his grandmother bought him before she passed away, just before his 18th birthday. Not knowing that the guys brother was a police officer. Briggz beat this guy so bad, he could not see, and just when it looked like he would kill this guy, he stopped, and soon the next day turned himself into the police station. Briggz was charged with aggravated assault. He was later released 2 months later, but soon would get his record wiped clean for helping out the cops. He was basically forced into it. It was either help and get your record wipe clean, or go back to jail for a couple months, and with Briggz mother sick he would not take that chance.
The Beginning Of A Wrestling Career
Briggz sitting at home one afternoon got a call from a friend about wrestling. Briggz thought nothing of it, he told his friend he would join with him, why not Briggz needed something to keep him out of trouble. Briggz went ahead and went to the first training session, but never got to step into the ring, actually they never gave him a chance. They figured a street punk like him had no future in wrestling, they thought it was just something he decided to do because of a friend, and of course they were right. On any given day Briggz would have not done this by himself. Briggz didn't care though because it was not something he wanted to do. Briggz went home and thought nothing of it, but when he sat down, and thought about it. Briggz started to get angry, he realized they didn't care about him. They took one look at him and thought he was trash. Briggz never liked to get angry, him getting angry. Was like unlimited rage and power. He was physically unstoppable when he got mad, but mentally he could control himself when he thought of what he was doing. He went back to that gym, got into that ring, and wrestled a match against his friend. The people were shocked, they couldn't believe how good he actually was. They booked him and his friend on a flight to London, England, to wrestle. He developed a great wrestling background there, meeting new people, and advancing his wrestling skills.
The Real Jacques Lament
While there he formed a great friendship with a man name Jacques Lament. He became a great in ring friend, and a great friend out of the ring. Then one day Jacques called Briggz to eat with him at a restaurant, so on his way to meet Jacques Briggz heard screaming. I went to see, but before he got there it was too late, Briggz saw the man struggling with Jacques and couldn't do anything he was frozen, the man stuck the knife deep into Jacques, and then ran. Briggz walked up to the corpse of Jacques, and yelled for help. No one came for about a hour. He just sat there and waited.
The Time To Return
Briggz sat a home for over 5 years and didn't do anything that involved wrestling, then he turned his TV to a GCW event, and saw what he thought was Jacques, it was a man claiming to be him at least, so Briggz got on a flight made a call, and got into GCW to find this, so called Jacques. Briggz came out as a no body and wanted to join "The Order" it is the first thing that is on his mind. He wanted to be involved with the most powerful group in GCW. With a challenge made by Gabriel Cage the leader of "The Order". For Briggz to face De Angelo Cambell. Briggz prevailed by beating De Angelo, then his next objective was to win a fatal four way elimination with, Funk Master Fro, Chelsea Crossfire, and Mark Cross. Mark Cross is a man Briggz has idled from a far. He always meant to meet him, but never could. Briggz failed to win the fatal four way, but managed to be in the final two just Mark and Briggz left and he lost but earned the respect of Mark Cross. Briggz finally found the so called Jacques and confronting him making him admit everything about killing the original Jacques and finding out his real name is Christian Pryce. With a Last Man Standing match against, this man he could not let his guard down. The Last Man Standing match was back and forth, but the end saw Jacques hitting his finisher and Briggz not being able to reach the count of ten. After the match, Briggz stood up and the crowd applaud him, as he looked up to the heavens saying he was sorry. What is next for Briggz in GCW we would have to wait and see?
Finally A Chance
You wanted to see what was next for Briggz well it seems, a chance. A great chance for him to become a champion, "The Code Of Discipline Champion". He must fight Mark Cross on Lock Up on the date of April 20th, 2008. This my be a day where Briggz may become champion, but in order to do it he has to beat Mark Cross in a 20 Minute Iron Man Match. This will be tough no doubt, even though Cross is a man Briggz respects. He still must put that a side, cause he knows the man Cross is he will not go easy. Hell he will give it all hes got. He must because if Briggz can stay focus for just 20 Minutes, that is all it will take to win, is 20 Minutes with "The Wolf". Now even Kimberly Masters agrees this will be a great match up to see. Even though Briggz is a new comer don't think he can't hold his on. Cause since he has came to GCW he has only been pinned by one man, and that is the man he is facing Mark Cross. While dealing with the title match he may have to worry still about Christian Pryce. Cause even though Briggz helped out Pryce, and possibly saving his life. No one knows what Pryce will do, or even if he will do anything. I do know one thing surprises lurk around ever corner, and in this match both Briggz, and Mark Cross will have to watch their backs.
The Aftermath of the Title Match
After the match between Mark Cross and Briggz ended in a draw. The Code of Discipline Title was awarded to Mark Cross, which seemed right because Briggz didn't win, it would be like a count out. Now these to men are set to square off again in another "20 Minute Iron Man Match", but this time if it ends in a draw it continues into sudden death. Danger Zone is set to happen April 27th, 2008, and on that day a champion will be crowned. With "The Aftermath" of the title match apon us once again, and the dust settles from the championship match between Mark Cross, and Briggz. It seems with his last ounce of breath, and the time on the clock countdown from 2 seconds in that final hour Mark Cross exits the ring, and the winner Briggz. He has claimed his first title. What will happen? Who will he fight next? Stay Tuned.
His First Title Defense
Briggz did not have a chance to celebrate, because the first Lock Up would be his first title defense, and in a "Triple Threat" no doubt. Fighting a very well-known man, Johnny Pheonix, and another wrestler, by the name of Jermaine Ordell. Those two put up a great fight, but Briggz reversed a move that may have ended him, and by picking up the victory, would continue his reign, as "CoD Champion". With another title match coming up at the upcoming PPV how would he fair in this match-up.
His Second Defense
It was a great match. With a lot of back and forth action. Both Briggz and Jermaine taking a beating, and giving it out to eachother, but Briggz gave it his all, and he came out victorious. By slamming Jermaine through a table,he walked out with his title, as he came in. He did what he said he was going, and Taught, Lessons, To A Chump. (TLC)
Old Friends Never Die They Just Disappear
Briggz decided if he wanted friends he would have to make them. So, he decided to throw a celebration party. For all those who was involoved with,"The Rumble From Down Under PPV". Only one person showed up, but that person would be the most important. The man's name was Mr Rockstar, he gave Briggz a phone number, and claimed it was a friend. Briggz gave the number a call, and a man by the name of Sean Wayne answered. Briggz thinking it was another joke, but this time proved wrong when he saw Sean face to face. An then, "The RailRoad City Pistols" were re-born. An in all that drama there is a girl Briggz likes. Who is she stay tuned, and find out?
Dreams Cut Short
For those that didn't know Briggz was in a terrible car wreck, and it caused him to be in a coma state. Since the time of the wreck GCW has been preparing for there second season. Briggz has been preparing doing certain things, and if you want to find out what they are tune into the up coming season of GCW.
