Backstage in a foreign land (open)

It was surprisingly easy for Claire to get backstage at the Comcast Arena. Well... it probably shouldn't have been. The promotion was well known, it's closure rippled through the masses. Her, as one of it's most noted faces, was widely recognized, and even greeted with a "Welcome, Miss Arlett" and a smile. Who knew? Maybe she was just being paranoid about everything... maybe it was still from the state of shell-shock, she didn't know.

This feels like she's in a strangers home...

"Um... yeah... is there, like some management around here I can talk to? I'm looking for employment..."

"There is, Miss Arlett... yet they're all currently working through production meetings, working with the building staff, and getting the show underway. I'm sure that you're most welcome to intermingle with the roster, get to know them, if GCW does happen to be your future. It's only best to get to know some new faces right away..."

Claire only nodded. "Well, thank you... I guess I'll go hit up your catering then. I haven't eaten since I left Ohio... this long of a drive makes me absolutely starving. Thanks for the warm welcome... and, maybe sometime soon you'll be producing an interview segment for me?"

"I only hope so, Miss Arlett... Take care."

She smiled and nodded, watching him walk away. At least there weren't any "Go back to Ohio" rants yet. She was glad this place was warmly welcoming her. Wondering if anyone else made the trip, she puts it out of her mind, heading towards the catering. First thing she saw? Sandwiches... god did she need something to eat. She grabs one, and takes a healthy bite, scanning the table for some bottled water...

I tell you how it is bro ... tonight I am going to beat the living shit out of Sumya … yeah … I am sure about that. You have seen me in my matches right? I am the new dominating force in GCW … that lose was just bad luck … but hey on the other side it showed me that I was a bit too cooky … cause that was it what cost me the match back then …. Yes of course that was the reason … yeah of course I know that being as nice as I am to this bitches around here that I will properly get myself in a lot of trouble … but I got a big brother remember? … Yeah that is you … so if anybody wants to be nasty to me … I gonna call you and you show them their place … right? … Hihi … yes that is what I though … thanks bro.

Ashley Raimond is talking to her brother over the phone as she enters the cafeteria of the arena in which the GCW PPV takes place. She wants to grab a small snack before her match … having a match somehow makes her hungry … most have to do something with her nerves … but a good snack will help her to calm down her nerves and get her ready for the beatdown of her life … or better said the beatdown from Sumya’s life as this is going to be exactly that what will happen. A smirk appears on her face as she grabs a sandwich and a coke zero … sugar free … best thing that ever was created …

So, it was strange that Claire would be shy... but... you know how things are. She's in a completely foreign land, with competitors she doesn't even know, who probably hate her guts just for being from the other guys. Yeah... things didn't sit right with that scenario, and the last thing she was going to do is start a scene, get into a fight, lose out on a contract, and have to start all over again at another promotion... BEFORE she even gets signed to this one.

She nods at the girl, grabbing a bottled water and keeping to herself for the time being.

Ashley just notice this strange red haired woman ... she looks a bit familiar to her, but Ash is not able to get her fingers on it from where she knows her. Maybe she has seen her before in the tower … as it is a big building with a lot of people who work there. But somehow … Ashley got the feeling that she doesn’t know her from that but rather from somewhere else … the question is just from who. She sat down on the table next to that from Claire and starts to eat her sandwich … but her eyes never let go of this woman…. She knows her … but from where …

[Crymson]

"I can feel you staring..." She says, through a drink of water before setting the bottle down. It's something she shouldn't have been surprised by. Familiarity, on both ends, was something that attracted attention. She was unfamiliar with her surroundings and her peers now, so she stuck out like a sore thumb...

And she had some name power to make her familiar on a broad scheme... Hence why this woman was peering at her now.

"Go ahead. Ask away. I'm not here to start any problems... especially without a GCW Contract."

Who are you?

A simple question that Ashley ask … but before Claire could answer she continues to speak.


I haven’t seen you are here before … but that doesn’t mean that I don’t know you … I am just not able to say from where I know you. You are non of this losers from Lock Up or MayheM that is for sure, otherwise I would know you … on the other side it doesn’t mean because you are not a part of these rosters that you are not a loser as well … which we surely will find out very soon … as you just have said you have no contract in GCW yet … which only can means that you are looking for one … which brings us to the fact that you are a wrestler … so who the hell are you?

[Crymson]

She only looks to her. "My name is Claire Arlett. I wrestle under the name of "Crymson." My company just closed down its doors... Virtual Wrestling Entertainment out of Columbus, Ohio. I was one of it's top people. That's probably where you've heard of me from."

Pretty much, she was going to hate having those accolades mean nothing to the masses, but they meant everything to her.

[Ashley Raimond]

Ah yes … now I can remember … one of the best rookies that ever graced the squared circle. Well before I have stepped into the ring … but why talking about that when I will have shown it to the haters, the doubters and all the people who are jealous of me. So Miss Arlett … I assume that you want to get a spot on one of our two rosters now that you are unemployed … if you can call it like that.

Ashley ask and bites in her sandwich.

[Crymson]

"Hence why I'm here looking for a contract..." She wondered what wasn't really obvious about it. Oh well. Another drink of her water, since the sandwich did not last long for her. Was pretty filling too... "But... good luck at proving everybody wrong. It can be pretty fun to shoot down expectations..."

[Ashley Raimond]

Thanks. Oh … How rude from me. I think I have forgotten to introduce myself. I am Ashley Raimond, rookie here in GCW and if everything goes as planned the future Top Debutante Champion of this company as well. Its nice to meet you Claire … if I am allowed to call ya like that.

[Crymson]

She smiled. "Yeah, it's okay. No contract means I don't have to go by my slave name yet. So, you'll be alright.

... Speaking of which. I'm going to wander around more back here and see what I can find before finding one of your two CEOs."

[Ashley Raimond]

Alright, then good luck with that … you will need it.

Ashley giggles as she said that and opens her coca cola bottle.

Not sure if these two are around here, but maybe you are lucky and they are here. If not the best beg would be the GCW headquarter, as they spend most of their time there… simple because the GM of the shows are doing most of the on the road stuff.

[Crymson]

She nodded, standing.

"I'm sure that given the chance, one of them wouldn't mind signing me. Take care. Good luck."

And she was gone to go run into somebody else...

[Amanda Wallace]

A contract she was seeking... and a contract she would get.

"Miss Arlett... pleasure to see you again... if you'll follow me, perhaps we can go up to my skybox for the show, and discuss a few things... hm?"

Amanda happened to be passing by. She didn't stop, either... she knew that wouldn't be necessary, hearing Claire's footsteps echoing behind her. The two head to her skybox.

Looking left to right, Claire only nodded. Oh, shit, Amanda was already like 8 feet away from her... girl didn't break a stride whatsoever. Claire hurridly follows her...

Contract time.
