Insuring a Chance (Invite/Phone call)

:: Brianna hadn't paid 100% to the events of the main event of Mind Games. She had personal problems in mind. She was very close to breaking up with her boyfriend who was 'released' from the GCW roster. Jason Argent. He wanted her to return to Texas with him, she wanted to stay and fulfill her obligation to The Order. They hired her on as a manager and she was going to do her job.

That didn't stop her from seeing that her client one Mr. Columbian was not involved in the decision. Sitting next to Taylor in the Order's private locker room she pulls out her cell phone and places a call. A call that would insure the he get his one on one shot at it.

While the phone was ringing, she looks over at Taylor and smirks at her.

" Just fixin' ta make sure we get that shot before anyone else. He won't have that belt fa long...it will come to it's righ'full owners... "::

[Taylor Devereaux]

"Thank God. I was dreading making that call myself. It's been a rough few days for us. Things didn't go as planned but, I think we'll be fine now that one obstacle is out of the way."

Taylor leaned forward, her palms placed on her forehead as she began to think over what was next on the agenda for the Order. Mr. Cage would be taking a short sabbatical soon and she had to be prepared for what was next to come. Good thing she had Brianna to help out. She was gonna need it.

[Candice Angel]

$-She sat in her office, skimming through a few catalogs. Dillard's, Macy's and the like. What? A princess has to look her best doesn't she? -$

$-Hearing the phone ring a few inches from her hand she lets out a sigh before reaching for it. God how she missed having an assistant at times such as this. Bringing it to her ear she cleared her throat as she answered the call...-$

"Candice Angel speaking. How may I help you today?"

" Sorry for disturbing you Ms. Angel, but after seeing the ending to the continental title match I just had to call. It seems that There has been a mistake that requires fixin' my client Mr. Columbian isn't champ. This poses a problem to the natural order of things. We are the best in the business...we will not have this. That's why I'm callin' to...'suggest' that he get the next shot...after all....he wasn't the one who was pinned. "

$-She nodded her head slightly hearing the voice on the other end. She knew she'd be hearing from Miss Wilson if not Miss Devereaux, so she was prepared. She only wished Amanda was here to make this a conference call. But she could manage alone for now.-$

"How did I know you ladies wouldn't wait two days before I received this phone call? Very well, very well. The discussion was bound to be opened sooner or later I guess."

"I feel it necessary to point out that there are a few other gentlemen on the roster whom could possibly have interest in this next "shot" as well as your client Mr. Colombian. Now you're correct, he wasn't pinned in that match but...What am I to do about the others wanting this opportunity as well? Just over look them Miss Wilson?"

" Simple...ask yourself...IF they deserve it. If it's worth riskin' puttin' the title on one of the many mouth breathin' un-talented neandetals on the roster. Do any of them deserve the chance to hold that belt.

[Taylor Devereaux]

She leaned back against the chair she and Brianna shared, laughing at the mention of Neanderthals, but still listening carefully. She seemed to have things under control for the moment, so she decided to check on an old friend, to see how he was holding up and what exactly he was doing at this moment.

Reaching into her purse nearby, she removes her cell phone from it, bringing it to eye level as she scans through the numbers, passing quickly by on the display screen. She stops on a particular number, pressing send as she stands from the seat and begins making her way across the room as the phone rings, awaiting Tobias to answer. He may be needed very soon if her potential newest client chose to be stubborn for a second time.

$-She herself had to think that question over for a second before replying. Whom could she think of that might possibly deserve it as much as Mr. Colombian? He had quite the showing against Mr. Payne earlier on, so that should count for something. Or should it?-$

"Point taken Miss Wilson, point taken. I can't argue the fact that the roster is lacking in terms of charisma and that knack for carrying a promotion on their back for any given amount of time. That being said, I have to admit that...Mr. Colombian SHOULD be at the top of the list of said possible contenders. Or at least near it. But, one thing Miss Wilson. If he were to hope to gain that title shot during the course of the coming month, I'd expect him to act accordingly. Act as if he wants it of course. We don't need lazy and absent champions. If you get my drift? Again, I'm not promising anything, as...I do have to speak with Amanda on the topic, but from previous conversations she's leaning towards the same opinion as I."

" I'm not with the man 24/7...although I wouldn't mind... but he was chosen for The Order...if he was a slouch like some certain giant who won't be named...he wouldn't have been."

Letting out a cough Bri takes a sip of her ice cold beer and continues.

" I can't tell ya what ta do, but I'd suggest giving him the shot. No one else around here deserves or has earned that shot more then him...period... "

$-She could clearly see Brianna wasn't going to back down from the issue. Which was good for her to believe in her client as much as she did. Taylor chose her counterpart wisely it seemed.-$

"You make it hard to argue Miss Wilson. That's for sure. Tell you what. I'm scheduled to meet with Miss Wallace very shortly, it'll be the initial topic of discussion I assure you. And if all goes well, like I believe it will, you'll be getting just what you wish. Afterwards you'll be first on my call list. And, we can discuss things further from there, if that's satisfactory for you that is?"

Nodding at hearing she more then likely got what she wanted she takes another sip of her beer and replies.

" It has to be doesn't it? "

Brianna KNEW they were the best of the best on the roster...no matter what the match results said...BUT even she knew that the staff ws to be treated with respect.

" This isn't my first rodeo, I know if I make you have a hissy fit. It'll make things harda for me & my associates. Can't have that now can we? "

[Candice Angel]

$-She chuckled slightly hearing Brianna's words. Well she knew what to say and when to say it that was for sure. That much she had to give the young lady.-$

"No we can't Miss Wilson, no we can't. So be excepting my call within a few hours m'kay? It shouldn't take any longer than that sweetie. Until then?"

Another sip of her beer and...

" Talk to ya then...and I expect to be hearin' good news. "

A laugh....but she wasn't joking...she was serious. She expected that Candice and Amanda would come to the only right decision. Of course...if it wouldn't be given they could easily take it by force. For now though it was better to do things by the book. With a goodbye Brianna hangs up and looks over to Taylor.

" It's as good as our's...she just needs to talk it over with Wallace..."
