In Need Of A Friend Part 3 {Invite}

1 down, 2 to go she thought, as she and a second friend she had reunited with walked the hallways of the same hospital Jessie was being held before her coming surgery. As if the day hadn't taken a lot out of her already, there was now a second visit the two women in question had to pay. That coupled with a phone call from Cross, his suspicion seemingly rising concerning the happenings back before they all barely escaped Toronto, informed her that someone(s) would need a little bit of assistance with making their official departure from the city of Chicago.

After meeting her out in front of the hospital after leaving Jessie and the others, they found their way back up to the hallway where Sarah was being held. Though many of her wounds healed, she had requested that they help her leave town as soon as possible. Apparently fearing for her own safety, and much more so that of Madison. A favor was asked of them, and they aimed to deliver on that favor.

They walked the hallways towards Sarah's hospital room, Kenisha leading the way while Laura's vision remained downcast towards the floor during the long walk. She had been worried a bit over the past few days. Wondering was the violence and drama really over. Or were there some meaning to Cross recent and constant contact with her. More than he had over the past few months. Not hearing from Dice or Chri$ for so long now. It bothered her to the point of losing sleep at this point. So much for starting her wrestling career she thought. The thoughts bombarded her mind during the walk down the hallway. So much that she had been none the wiser when Kenisha's steps came to a halt, having to catch herself as she lightly bumped into her old friend, immediately causing for a weird look from her long time friend as she turned to face her.

"Um, sorry?...Got a little distracted for a minute there..."

Good for her Kenisha shrugged it off, reaching forward towards the door handle to Sarah's room and pushing it open. Laura followed suit, hearing the noise of some cartoon on the television mounted up on the wall near the door itself. She could hear the sound of running water coming from the bathroom off to the right of the room, no doubt Sarah finishing getting herself prepared for the trip back home. A quick scan of the room and she could instantly spot Madison, looking in her direction and smiling brightly before removing herself from the bed, and heading in their direction with arms wide, Laura returning the gesture as she squatted near the middle of the room, supporting her own weight as she spread her arms, seconds later the 5 year old running directly into the outstretched arms. The impact from the hug almost knocked Laura to the floor, forcing her to giggle slightly as she caught herself, maintaining balance barely as she spoke...

"Well hello stranger. Looks like somebody missed Laura Love now didn't they?...I know, I missed you too."

Only a head nod, coupled with that bright smile could be seen as Laura lifted the child into her arms standing up to an upright position once again, looking in Kenisha's direction to introduce two of her favorite girls in the world to one another..

"Kenisha? Meet Madison. Madison? Meet Kenisha. The only woman in professional wrestling who can perform face lifts with her finisher *Giggles* But don't worry, she's off for the day...I hope..."

She slowly stepped slightly in 'Nisha's direction, allowing for Madison's outstretched hand enough room to meet that of Miss Williams', just as the handle to the door of the bathroom could be heard being pulled open itself.

Kenisha looked down at the little 5 year old girl. She was a cutie. She was exactly how she imagined her from the description that Laura had given her. A smile forming on her face. She liked kids. She liked kids a lot. She worked well with them. Some people don't like kids because they claim they are annoying and whatnot. But that only proves that the people claiming that should not have kids in the future. Wouldn't you agree? Kenisha liked kids though. She worked well with them. Nodding her head a little as she looked down at Madison. A slight laugh escaping her after hearing Laura mention her "other job." Glancing in Laura direction and giving a little shake of her head. She knew that was going to be a long running joke that will follow her wherever she went. She didn't mind it. Breaking and reconstructing faces in the ring was just a mere hobby of hers. Looking back down at Madison who was staring up at her. Kenisha extended her hand out to Madison's, she took a hold of it. Giving it a few short shakes before releasing it. Greeting the young girl with...

"Hey there Madison. It's nice to finally meet you. I've heard soooo much about you. Hehe. "

Hearing the sound of the bathroom door opening, Kenisha's eyes were drawn up to it. Smile still on her face as she awaited for the person to come on out.

Finally she was all packed, prepared and ready for them to make their exit, stepping from the bathroom as she could hear the voices of her friends clearly from the room. It brought back memories of Toronto, and she quickly had rushed to finish up and exit the room, for the small reunion they were on the verge of experiencing. A much long overdue reunion at that.

"Hey girls. Glad you both came."

A bright smile across her face as she reaches back with her free hand, returning the bathroom door to it's closed state. It was good to see friends again. It had been nearly 6 months since she had time to visit with either of them in a capacity that didn't involve mourning over someone's death or disappearance. It was a slow walk in their direction for her, as the after effects of the injuries suffered at the hands of her sister still lingered a bit. Finally she made it to the spot where Kenisha had seemingly met her halfway, embracing each other in a sisterly hug as she spoke to the other half of professional wrestling's "IronRoses". ..

"'Nisha. It's been way too long girl. How've you been?"

Embracing Sarah. Kenisha was glad to see her up and about. She was glad that she was alright. It was good to know that she hadn't suffered too many injuries. It would not be good to see another friend of hers to be in a critical condition. As she released Sarah, she responded to her...

"Hehe. Yeah it has. Been waaaaay too long. You know me though. I'm still giving these girls hell in and out of the ring. Got to teach them how it's done. They always come out thinking they are the top female in the business, but I've got to put them back in their place where they belong. Hehe. The usual. Good to see you up and about though. How have things been with you Sarah?"

[Sarah Andrews]

"Well, just trying to heal up really. Things got pretty nasty for me so...Yea, I've been in here for nearly a month now. And I just have to get out of here before I lose my mind anymore than I already have..."

Reaching over after the hug with Kenisha, another for Laura. As much as she could with her arm still in a partial cast and sling. The pain was still a bit troublesome, but as least she could move it slightly at times. A small grunt left her lips after the hug, feeling just the slightest bit of pain during. Letting out a long sigh she turned back to Kenisha smiling as she replied...

"Well that's good to hear. I don't want the legacy we started up back in Toronto to fall short of what it's supposed to be...Even though..."

She glanced downward towards her arm as she raised it just a bit. The cringing evident in her facial features as she slowly took the few steps near the bed which had been her temporary home for the duration of her stay, sitting down while going on...

"...Even though I've been on the shelf for this long, it's nice to know someone is out there showing them what it's truly about and how it's done. Now we just need to get Miss Laura Love in on the fun and we can REALLY change things. She's being STUBBORN though from what I hear now."

[Laura De'Icco]

"I am not stubborn! I just..."

Her words trailed off a bit, standing to an upright position with Madison firmly in her embrace as she continued on...

"I'm just busy is all. Madison needed a lot of care and attention and well...I was happy to oblige. Besides, I've got time to wrestle. No need to rush and make decisions in haste. The training has been enough to hold off my appetite for now I think. If the opportunity rises then I'll see I guess. Until then...Well...Looks like I'm vacationing in Calgary with you Sarah. Until things...You know...Blow over with everything that's been happening. *Sigh* Guess it wasn't in the cards this time either huh?"

[rose]

"Hehe. Starting to sound like my brother now Laura. She'll come around sooner or later Sarah. Form the deadly trio of Roses. Hehe. Charlie's Angels style and whatnot. You know? Hehe. It's good to see you healing up nicely though Sarah. We don't need anymore people hurt or worse... But let's just let that be and go have some fun. I say it's high time for a good ol' girls night out, eh? A vacation might be good, ya know? Of course, I'll have to cut it short. I've got to keep teaching that Lauren Blayze chick that you can't always take the easy way out and use underhanded ways to win. But I can spend some time with my girls for a little while. Hehe. Yeah?"

Smiling brightly. She was glad to be among friends again. It's been a good while since she's been with friends. It's been a good while since she's had a good time. This little vacation was going to do wonders for her. She needed a break. She needed some time to relax. What better time then now?

[Sarah Andrews]

Reaching for the bag on the floor in front of her, she smiled to herself. She couldn't lie to herself. A night out with the girls was indeed in order. And would help her get her mind centered once again hopefully with all that's happened in the past few months. Standing up she glares at Laura and then Kenisha, letting her take on things be known...

"That's the best idea I've heard in ages girl. Hell why waste time, let's get out of here. I'm already checked out and everything so..."

Shrugging her shoulders, she began her walk towards the door, the sounds of Laura & Kenisha gathering what she couldn't herself could plainly be heard as she did so.

Before she knew it, she had stepped out into the corridor of the hospital floor she was confined to for the better part of this past month. Glancing back and forth, almost as if she was going to miss the place...Almost that is.

Her attention slowly turned back towards the room, just as Kenisha, Laura and Madison all made their exits as well, Laura closing the door behind her as Sarah spoke once again, already turning to make their way towards the elevator at the end of the hallway...

"Let's just not...Go anywhere TOO crazy okay? I remember some of the places Lindsay used to drag me to and um...I'd rather not have thirty drunk men crowding around me and forcing me to tigerbomb one of them for nudging my arm the wrong way. I wanna be peaceful Sarah so, 'Nisha no fight clubs and Laura no male strip clubs either. Peaceful please...Tee Hee... "

And with that the three ladies began their stroll towards the awaiting elevator. Sarah lead the way, Kenisha and Laura close behind with the remains of her belongings, while Madison held on tightly to Laura's one free hand...

"You're never gonna let me live that down are you? So what, I got drunk and danced half naked on a bar one night in Toronto. Not like you two haven't done the same before I bet..."

She could feel the cold stare from 'Nisha instantly as she laid eyes upon her. Their steps never stopping as Laura's vision trailed off in a separate direction. She could hear the faint sound of chuckling from Sarah up ahead, rolling her eyes before replying...

"Oh shut it Sarah. One time, ONE time and now it's stuck with me for life I guess. I blame you two anyway. I'm more reserved until I get around the both of you. Then I end up doing things even Jessie wouldn't do...Ugh..."

"Why dance naked on a bar Laura?"

Laura's eyes immediately widened hearing Madison's words. She had to be more careful about what she mentioned around her she thought to herself.The laughter from Sarah instantly picked up in pace then, 'Nisha's giggles becoming much more audible as well as Laura attempted to save as much face as possible, as they had arrived at the elevator.

"It...W...It was for charity sweetie. Yes, charity. Nothing you need to hear about. *ahem* Is it girls?"

[Sarah Andrews]

"Tee Hee...No Madison, you don't even want to know that little story. We'll leave that for the people back at Club Squeeze to remember our precious Laura Love by."

One second later the dinging of the elevator could be heard as Sarah and 'Nisha continued to enjoy a good laugh at Laura's expense. Stepping forward, Sarah slightly shifted the one bag she held firmly onto on her shoulder, making her way to the back of the elevator as Kenisha and Laura joined her moments later. She watched as 'Nisha reached forward, pressing the required button to send them to the ground floor, finally getting Miss Andrews out of here once and for all.

"*Sigh* Finally. Getting OUT of this madhouse. I never knew being in the hospital was so damn depressing. Crap, I've even started to swear since I've been here. Longest month of my life. For a lot of reasons actually."

"Now all we gotta do is stop by Cross' hotel room and drop Madison off for the night and we can be on our way girls. That is if he's there."

She reached into the bag on her shoulder with her free hand, retrieving the phone and bringing it eye level. A single second passed before she let out a long sigh...

"He still hasn't returned my call. Wonder where the hell he is. He's probably there and just not answering. Same old Cross."

"Hm, he was there this morning when I wo...ke...up..."

*Complete Silence*


















All eyes shifted to Laura's face of shock, barely catching herself as well as the words she had just allowed to slip from her lips. Fidgeting with her hair for a second with her free hand, she glanced downward towards the floor of the elevator, partially noticing the stare from Madison as well.

"You stay with my daddy Laura?"

"...I...We...Well...*Sigh*..."

Wow thanks Madi. Nice timing she thought, as her eyes arose once more towards the ceiling of the elevator nodding her head as just a tiny trace of a smile could be seen emerging upon her face, hearing the snickering Kenisha & Sarah were both releasing underneath their breaths. Bitches.

"Alright, alright...Alright...Leave it alone ladies. We have a child in our presence so...Behave please. Grill me later on if you can wait that long. "

[rose]

"Hehehehehe... Bad Laura... Bad...."

Laughing to herself. She held a hand over her lips to contain herself. She knew what Laura meant with that little slip there. Must've gone back to her King. She wasn't too surprised. She knew that Laura still had feeling for him, regardless of how much of a dirtbag he may be when it comes to women. Guess that comes with the territory though, right? Some people are manipulated by power. And the King was still a man. Temptations. Temptations can do things to them. But even though the King was a low down scumbag of a womanizer, she knew her friend still had feelings for him. Oh well. Maybe he changed. Maybe not. It wasn't her business. She just laughed along with Sarah at the news that had slipped out. A slight shake of her head. She leaned over to Sarah. Whispering over to her....

"Hehehe... I knew it... I knew it...
"

[Sarah Andrews]

Sarah's face shown nothing but laughter, barely able to contain it after hearing Kenisha's whispers. She knew it too but she wasn't going to actually say anything. Her eyes remained on the ceiling of the elevator as it traveled towards the ground floor. A few seconds later her eyes just had to redirect themselves into Sarah's direction, smiling brightly as she spoke again finally...

"Awww, it's okay Laura. Tee Hee, not like we didn't see this coming anyway. I mean, I may not be the smartest person in the world, but when I found out he made a trip to Boston a month ago to see Madison? Yea, sure. Tee Hee, whatever. That means he was staying at your place if he was there for a week like he said. But you know, like a good sister, I just...Remained silent."

Once again she smiled brightly, showing those pearly whites of hers as the elevator continued on, nearing the ground floor. Kenisha must have really enjoyed that bit of information as she was still snickering at Laura's expense, Laura clearly not appreciating the teasing, Sarah saw fit to try to change the subject, hopefully to calm things down again, yet with a still lingering trace of laughter in her voice...

"Okay okay, you're off the hook for now. For NOW. Later is a different story. But, how's everyone else doing? Kenisha you see Adrian yet? I've been in here so long I don't even know what's happening in GCW or anywhere else for that matter. Catch me up on things."

A little surprise in the subject being brought up, but she knew it was going to come up eventually. How to answer this without sounding dumb? Pondering her thoughts for a moment.

"Erm... Well..."

She knew she was probably going to catch some flack from the girls about what she's about to say. She got it before when she had taken so long to express her feelings for her love. Now she was finding it hard to even go see him after what had transpired in Toronto. Biting down on her lower lip for a moment. She began to slowly shake her head. Then responding...

"Well... Not exactly... I've seen him on screen... If that counts.... I don't know what it is. Something just seems... I guess the best word would be... scary? There's something different about him. There's like something that you can kind of tell he's disconnected. It's kind of hard to explain. Like... I've wanted to. It's not like I don't want to. But I'll find myself standing at his door. Wanting to bring myself to knock on his door. But... I can't bring myself to do it. There's something eerie about him. Like... You can just feel this... this vibe coming from him... from the area he's in. I can't tell you how the hairs on my neck will stand or the goosebumps I get when he speaks.... It's not like he's talking crazy or anything... But there's something.... something different.... Like he's changed.... It's hard to explain..."

Wow. Laura wasn't expecting to hear that when she heard the question posed by Sarah. She was hoping to hear more of the same when pertaining to Cross and herself. Perhaps the events of the previous months changed him in some way. Perhaps things still lingered in his mind and he didn't know of how to be around her knowing he was so close to losing her. Knowing he was so close to losing everybody really.

The ding signaling their arrival on the ground floor was heard, perfectly timed it seemed as the confines of the car had become dead silent. Exhaling briefly, Laura was the one to break the silence, as the doors opened seconds later...

"Well...I'm sure you two will have a lot of time to catch up 'Nisha. He probably just needs, a little time to get things back in order in that brain of his. Cross did the same so...It'll be fine sweetie I'm sure..."

And she left that topic at that as she followed close behind her close friend, both of them in tow of Sarah as their steps proceeded to carry them towards the exit a little under 50 or so feet away.
