Avenger Awaits (O2A)

[Avenger]

The telecast begins as the announcers are discussing the night and the card for the night until the light flickers and dark music arrives. The fans are going crazy as they know the Continental Champion is in the house. The Avenger then walks through the curtain and down the ramp with the Continental Championship over his left shoulder. He enters the ring as one of the lovely ring girls gives him a mic as she exits the ring. There is a huge "Pop" as the World Champion is in the building.

You know the Avenger went down to the "other" show the other night and from my dismay there was just a slight utterance of competition in there. The Avenger came out and the only one that had any courage to come out was some rookie by the name of William James or something like that. How disrespectful that was to the one holding the premiere championship in the business today. At least when the Avenger arrives to his main show the likes of the great Genesis bring about the best in the promo world. But you see the Avenger has no problem defending this title but with way of the money world it will be at the PPV next week. But this week, the Avenger is free to take out some lost soul and make another example out of someone.

So what does that mean you ask? It means the Avenger is here to wrestler and of course at the PPV the Avenger awaits who GCW throws at him. But tonight, the Avenger plans on whooping somebody that believes they are in the same league as the Avenger. So who shall it be you ask? Well only that desperate wrestler knows for sure. So as the Avenger sits and waits for someone to come out and at least give the Avenger a workout and for next week the Avenger plans on walking in and walking out as champion.

The Avenger pauses as the fans want to see their champion in the ring.

You see the Avenger has alot of foes that want him that is for sure. So who will it be at the PPV? Will it be Genesis or Colombain or is there another opponent worthy to get in the ring with the best? Only thing for sure is that the Avenger will walk out victorious. So tonight the Avenger will get a match of some kind. If that means me walking to Ms. Masters office and getting someone to beat on. When she drafted the Avenger she knew first hand that she got the lucky ball in the draft. And she also knows that me as the Continental Champion that ratings are out of this world. You want to compete with the "other" guys then the fans as well as the viewers at home want to see the Avenger go one on one with someone.

Just as the Avenger put Miles Divine on the map and gave him his whooping to let him know that the Avenger is the real deal so will it be tonight when the Avenger delivers like always. So tonight is the night just like every night for the Avenger. Only thing now is the clock is ticking as this is a prelude to the PPV and for the Avenger to make more history and build his legacy even more. So what time is it you ask? Let us just call it "Revelation Time."

The Avenger poses as he glances at his title and the announcers are just baffled and waiting to see if there is anyone in the back ready for the fight of their life.

.:Kris over hears someone in the ring gloating about how good they are, and how know one can beat him. So Kris decides to head out and see who it is. Kris's music his the PA and the crowd gives a quick glance as to who it is. They have never heard this music before so they have a look of shock as they wait to see who it is. They see Kris come out onto the stage with a microphone, but they have never seen this young face. Some of the crowd cheers and others just stare trying to figure out who this man is. Kris makes it to the ring and climbs the stairs and gets in from between the ropes. He makes a motion to cut his music as he turns and faces Avenger:.

[glow=white,2,300]Hello everyone!!!! My, my look at all the faces out here. Whats that? You are all wondering who I am? Well I will tell you. My name is Kris Kain and I am new here as you all can tell. Now that we have our introduction out of the way, I can address the situation at hand. This man in the ring with me, I don't know his name and I frankly don't care. But I hear a lot of talk coming from this ring about how good this man thinks he is, and how know one can beat him.[/glow]
.:Kris turns and starts walking around the ring slowly but still facing Avenger:.

[glow=white,2,300]Well I'm here to tell you know one is unbeatable. I have trained at the hardest dojos all over the world and I have encountered many men with the same mentality as this man right here. And guess what? I have seen all of them lose![/glow]
.:Kris is still walking around the ring and as he approaches Avenger he looks him dead in the eye:.

[glow=white,2,300]He says there is no one worth enough to face him, he says no one is good enough, then he wont mind a match against me![/glow]
.:The crowd is dumbfounded by the fact that this newcomer, Kris Kain, has just challenged the champion. Kris stands there and lowers his microphone and waits for a reply:.

[Avenger]

The Avenger grins as the newcomer has alot of spunk about him. He looks at the crowd as they just want to see the Champion in the ring. He then turns back to Kain.

You know something kid. You got more fire than what the Avenger imagined. The Avenger saw you around when you came to GCW in a match but he never knew ya really. But you see you must of been in a cave if you haven't heard of the Avenger. But the Avenger will let that slide for now. But you see there have been so many think that the Avenger is some washed up has been but the fact of the matter is that the Avenger is on top of the mountain once again and you are now in the world and the face of the Avenger. Two places you really shouldn't be. But since it seems you want to test your skills against the best and for one night you will be in the main event spotlight then the Avenger has no regret to give what you want.

Now you may have the desire and the fan support to back your play even though the Avenger desires none of that. Now tonight is your lucky night. The Avenger's docket is empty and we can show the world if you got the gift or just another guy thinking they can knock the Avenger out for the 1-2-3. So the question is are you ready to get in the ring with the very best? Or are you just hoping to make a name for yourself as the Avenger your little ratings push? Either way the Avenger plans on taking you out and no doubt it will be the highlight of your career.

The Avenger inches closer as the Continental Championship glows as cameras get a close up on this encounter.

Now Kris Kain lets make this very simple and that is you may be the charasmatic youngster and you may have had a victory or two but the bottom line is that tonight you won't be in the ring with some guy in a "dark" match but you for one night will be in the main event. You ready for the spotlight to be on you? And in other terms are you ready for the world to see the whooping that the Avenger will indeed land on you. Because tonight the Avenger wants Kimberly Masters to be in the front row as she watches one of her young guns get demolished. And for her to realize at the PPV it doesn't matter who they throw at me. This title will be mine just like your a@@ Kris Kain.

The fans erupt as the Champion taps the title.

Now Kris Kain you better realize what you will indeed get yourself into because no matter what you think you can do the only thing that will happen is that the Avenger plans on giving you the "Revelation." And nobody gets up from the pain the Avenger releases. The Avenger has seen it all and beat them all. You my little friend will realize that after tonight you will indeed know the meaning of "The Hottest Commodity" laying the law down and tonight it begins with you. So why don't you go in the back and get your "Flintstone" vitamins and pull up your "SpiderMan" underoos. Go and call your folks and tell them to tape this and take pictures of you next to the World Champion because it may be a moment in your life that they will never forget but tonight it will be something you will wish never happened.

The Avenger stares directly in the soul of Kris Kain as the drama builds.

.:The crowd is on the edge of there seats as they wait to see what will come next in the ring. Kris raises the microphone and looks around the arena and then looks back at Avenger:.

[glow=white,2,300]Well its nice to see that you know how to complement other people besides yourself. So your at the "Top of The Mountain" are you? Do you know what happens at the top of a mountain? One push, just one little push and you fall back to the bottom. Now you think you are the best, that was the main reason I came out here to challenge you. I don't like people who think they are better than everyone else, so I'm here to set you straight. Everyone can and will be beaten eventually. Now, I'm not saying that I will be the one to push you down the mountain, but I will try my hardest.[/glow]
.:Kris wipes the sweat off of his brow from the hot spotlights that are positioned overhead, and continues:.

[glow=white,2,300]You ask if I am ready to be in the spotlight, to have all eyes on me, to be in the main event? To all those questions I simply answer yes. I have been tossed into much and many different and greater situations than the one I am heading into with you. You may think I can't handle the pressure these fans will place on me, but you know what? I thrive off of pressure, I live to feel that rush. That is what keeps me going through all of the pain and hurt. I think Kimberly Masters will have a very nice time sitting in the front row for our match, watching the look on your face as I show you that I have more skill than what you are anticipating.[/glow]
.:Kris now looks deep into the Avenger's eyes, looking for that hint of fear but it doesn't show. He seems to be a lot like Kris, he does not show his fear or weaknesses. Besides, it is more challenging to find them yourself:.

[glow=white,2,300]I know very well what I am getting into, and that is a match against the supposed best. I am ready to face whatever you can throw at me, you can give me your best shot! You talk to me like I am a little child, I see that as blatant disrespect, and I don't like being disrespected. I don't handle that well.[/glow]
.:Kris stares at the Avenger with his piercing blue eyes awaiting his next move:.

[blaze]

The arena lighting slowly dims. The stages lights now pushing out a dark hue of red. Such a dark, dreadful red that it aided the light none whatsoever in its struggle against the forthcoming darkness. Ah, darkness...the way 'He' liked it.

From what seemed to be the very depths of the arena erupted the opening melody and vocals of Seether's hit 'Fake It'. This signifying the arrival of none other than the Inferno himself.
He hadn't been seen since his humiliating loss at the last Pay-Per-View. Some suspecting he had hit rock bottom as Blaze was known to do on a regular basis, and whose to say he didn't. What mattered though, was that he was here now and ready to compete. If only these two competitors would be humble enough to accept his plea for a challenge.

Slowly, from behind the darkness of the backstage curtain emerged Blaze. Dressed in his wrestling attire, Mic in hand. He makes his way out onto the stage nonchalantly. Staring out at the audience with on emotionless look on his face. At the top of the ramp, he stops. Looking down upon the two men in the ring. The lighting begins to slowly return to normal, and his music fades into nothingness as he raises the Mic to his black lipsticked painted lips...

"Now that tweedle dee and tweedle dumb are through wasting time, I would like to say a few things..."

It was pretty likely from the look on his face that this wouldn't be good. Though the fans cheered him on, they most likely wouldn't be hearing from the good ole' Blaze they had come accustom to. Much rather, the dark hearted Blaze they laid dormant at the depths of Shaddix's soul...

"You...Avenger...Claim to be at the top of the mountain. Basically saying you are carrying this company...Also, basically saying....you are this company? Am I correct in guessing thats what your trying to get at?"

Blaze takes a short pause, yet no where near enough time for Avenger to make any sort of response...

"Apparently, you have no clue what it means to be the top of the business, do you? I mean, sure...maybe you've held the top title before elsewhere....been the top dog elsewhere....But at a place anywhere near as big as GCW? Apparently not....Because so far...All you've proven is that you know how to put these fans to sleep and bring the ratings down..."

Blaze begins to pace about the stage area a bit. The cold, emotionless look on his face not changing...

"I mean seriously....How many blowjobs must you have given to be that deep breathed? I've never seen anyone...ANYONE....Blow out as much crap as you without having to stop and take a breather....I wouldn't be surprised if all these fans just fell over dead right now from lack of oxygen...Because your probably sucking it all up right now so you can run through the next little lame ass rant that your most likely going to shoot off at me when I finish here..."

Blaze takes in a very deep breath, in some sort or another hes attempting to mock Avenger...

"Back to my point though...You claim your the top dog....Yet your wasting your time on some rook nobody knows? Can you say ratings drop? No, excuse me...you probably can't...let me say it a little slower for you...raaa...a...ting...s.....der.....ooop. That help you any?"

Blaze's face is becoming flushed, yet somehow at the same time remains fire engine red. Like his blood is pumping in and out of his face constantly. He was raging now, and he didn't even know why. He had no real problems with Avenger or this rook, but with the words he was spewing, I bet you couldn't tell that...

"So, to salvage you some little form of respect....I, graciously....Will insert myself into this match as a third member...That is...If Mr. Deep Breathe and Mr. Rook don't have any objections to it....I mean, we have to have some talent in the ring...To keep these fans entertained..."

Blaze now stops his pacing and once again looks down upon the men in the ring...

"Well....Avenger....Rook...either of you got a problem with a triple threat? Well....do ya?"

[Avenger]

The Avenger chuckles at Blaze as he brings his novice attempt to make sense of his presence.

Well if it isn't the show up when I want to show up in Blaze. That is your M.O. right? You do what you want or show up to the event you want to show up to? And you call the Avenger what you called him? Let the Avenger explain to you that he has been and is the man in the two biggest companies this world has ever seen and not some wannabe from a past "bingo hall." Now you know the Avenger as you came and entered the company that the Avenger held on his back. The problem with you Blaze is that you failed to realize that those World Titles and Titles for that matter that the Avenger held was never given but earned. You know that means showing up for actual wrestling events instead wondering what my place in the pro wrestling history was.

Now you come out here and blow smoke more than anyone that the Avenger has ever seen. You my friend are typical but let the Avenger let you in on a secret and that is that he has always been and always will be a main eventer. He highlights shows and as you can see the Avenger is wearing the Continental Championship. You think that they give this title away? Not the Avenger's fault you couldn't handle your business in the tournament and you got wacked as quickly as your talent prevails. And unlike you the Avenger beat the guy that beat you and two other main event caliber gentlemen to get this title. So the bottom line Blaze is that you can wish the past was not relevent but the fact of the matter is that you can't run or hide from the truth but the truth is what makes the Avenger who he is and sadly what you are.

The Avenger pauses as the fans are giving Blaze the business as he warms the crowd with his rant.

Now the matter of business is that the Avenger came out to see if the competition from LockUp was going to bring the noise and apparently it has. And don't worry we can make this a 3 way if you are down with it Blaze. And the Avenger doesn't mind whooping your a@@ for principle. And no matter what your sick little mind thinks at the end of the day you will be the one looking at the lights wondering what hit ya. The Avenger knows more than what you want to believe and it is about time that someone from your past lay the discipline down on ya.

Now on to your little rant about BJ's or whatever you want to call them. You see that shows how much of a jealous person you really are but since you are lost in the shuffle let the Avenger just say that he has main evented more shows than you can ever dream about doing. That is the reason that the Avenger stands before you with this title because he is the best and beat the best. There is no reward for the Avenger in defeating you besides the fact of all the "smoke" you blow about past things. You see all this week will do is get me ready for the man that the GMs throw at me. But for you if you were to defeat the Avenger then that will be something you could throw on your little resume. But lets be honest our resumes are no way equal now are they? What did you ever do besides be the King of the "bingo hall?"

Now the Avenger isn't out here to go over the past but don't make it out to believe that Atlanta was some "drop in the bucket" but its history speaks for itself as well as the legacy that is the Avenger. And the Avenger will say this after he is done whooping you and Kain this week then you can bet your sweet a@@ that at the next LockUp or House Show he plans on bringing your carcus to the Avenger's world just to beat the living crap out of you solo style. So be careful what you wish for little man because this is something the Avenger has been wanting to do ever since he came to GCW and found out your words were bigger than the a@@ it comes out of.

The Avenger stares deeper at Blaze as he slowly lifts the mic up once again.

Now as far as your "ratings" dilemna as you spoke about let the Avenger show you that the only thing that is "dead" is your so called career. A career that had promise back in Georgia and maybe even in Chicago. But the fact of the matter is that no one cares about what you say and only care about those that bring the money to the company they work for and can deliver in the clutch when it counts. So that leaves the Avenger a question and that is this: If the Avenger is such a low rating monster as you call it then why does the Avenger main event these shows and the "Franchise" of this company? The Avenger knows that is a question you can't honestly answer so the Avenger will do it for ya. That is because the Avenger beats anyone that is in front of him. The reason the Avenger is the Continental Champion. The reason the Avenger will drop you tonight and next week when he sees you in solo action. The reasons are clear and the only thing that isn't clear is your attempt to be the Avenger.

Now lets get this straight and that is when the Avenger signed the dotted line to come to GCW the expectations of him were high as the Avenger puts that on himself. The Avenger had nothing else he had to prove but as you see as the Continental Champion the hunter becomes the hunted. So Blaze you go in the back and get yourself ready. Do whatever you got to do to pull that off because at the end of the night everyone in the back will have assurance that once again the Avenger put a stop to another wannabe thinking they are better than the Avenger. Tonight Blaze just show up and watch the "Anti-Hero" destroy you. The Avenger doesn't take you or anyone in this company lightly. But you the Avenger plans on making an impact and example out of you as it kick starts him into MindGames.

So Blaze be worthy of this position because for one night you can say you were in a main event match at a top tier federation. For one night you get to rub elbows with greatness even though my elbows will be upon your grill. And for one night you get to feel the wrath of the Avenger. Get ready Blaze because all the smoke screens in the world can't even hide the whooping that the Avenger will bring upon you. And then the hunt begins on you after the Avenger is done with MindGames. And since we got some sort of a past you can say; you should remember this line and if you don't it will be the line that haunts you and reminds you of the truth and your life as you have entered the Avenger's world. That line goes like this: Blaze your a@@ belongs to the Avenger. See ya tonight chump!

The Avenger poses as the world now awaits to see if Blaze can muster up in the ring what he says he will do. The Avenger just looks at the crowd as it seems that tonight there will be a reckoning in one way or another.

.:Kris listens to Blaze rant about the Avenger, wondering what these two's past were. Did they know each other before wrestling? Blaze calls Kris a "Rook", wait a second isn't that a card game?? Anyway, that says nothing about Kris's skill, he wouldn't know because he has never seen Kris wrestle:.

[glow=white,2,300]You are a little hypocritical aren't you Blaze? I know you were trying to make a fool of Avenger but damn, you are about as long winded as him. You see, you may think it is a waste of time to wrestle me but I think you will change your mind after you step in this ring with me. You have never seen me wrestle, just like most of the people in here now but I will make a name for myself even if it means beating to self centered men who obviously have some kind of hatred for each other.[/glow]
.:Kris looks from Blaze to Avenger and then back to Blaze:.

[glow=white,2,300]Sounds like we have a triple threat, I have no problem with that.[/glow]
.:Kris waits for a response from either man:.

Blaze just releases a sigh, disappointed by the champs pathetic excuse for a comeback. He runs his fingers through his hair, contemplating whether he should waste his breathe saying anything else to this....nobody. Alas, he decided it was best to save the fans from constant boredom...

"Avenger....thats what seperates me from you. You see, we both have talent...We both have skill in the ring and on the Mic...and yes, we've both been forced to carry unappreciative companies. You in Atlanta, me in Toronto. But in the end....You...don't know how and when to shut the hell up."

Blaze just stands there, his cold gaze locked on the ring...

"You see, I came out...said my peace...was waiting for an answer...and was good to go. But you...you had to spend ten minutes coming up with a pathetic comeback with which...though you seemed to speak forever...you never actually said anything new. You just repeated your same old bullshit over and over again."

A small smile begins to form on his face...

"Another thing...You seem to be missing a small part of the history of Blaze. Yes, I was stuck in that bingo hall for awhile...Yes, I never accomplished much in Atlanta except for....oh, being one of the longest reigning tag champs in the businesses history...and having to have the titles stripped because no one could beat me and my tag partner...And from there...I went on to achieve greatness elsewhere....while you...you stayed stuck down in Atlanta....doing nothing with your sorry little career..."

That smile, that ever evil smile...growing larger...

"So yeah, you can act like you've accomplished a lot...but other than getting lucky at the last Pay-Per-View...and beating a bunch of nobodies...you've accomplished nothing...I will admit...I underestmated Remmy...and he beat me fair and square...you went on to beat him...congrats for that....But everyone has a cold night...and apparently...you had your hot night...Well, so you know...the flames back with me...friend...and I will burn you alive...."

Blaze now turns to address Kain...

"And you...rook...I respect your spunk. And I have no problem facing you...I like knocking rooks down a peg like I did with Andrew Rose a few weeks ago....But, just so you know....If you want to talk crap...Leave that with Avenger....I am the Inferno....Blaze.....your superior...and I will Incinerate you...if you don't watch your step boy..."

[Avenger]

The Avenger laughs as he slowly lifts the mic.

You know Blaze the Avenger will give you a little credit and let the Avenger stress the word "little". Since that is what you were with me in the time you were in Atlanta. But you see you come out here and disturb the challenge that young Kris Kain brought to the table. So my friend take a hint and follow your own advice about shutting up. You see the Avenger don't have to shut up and frankly believes you are not big enough or bad enough to shut me up. Matter of fact the Avenger feels and believes that after the PPV that he will make you the dirt under my boots. So if you are down for that little man then you just come and the Avenger will do the rest.

You know you come out and spoke your peace as you said or whatever you want to call it. The Avenger invites you to come to his world tonight and watch what is evident and that is me waxing you all over this ring tonight. Now if there is anyone BS'ing anyone then look closer to within and you will find the discovery. And as far as your little tag title run don't ever forget who had those titles and was basically stripped of them and was so dominant that the owner himself put me on one show and my tag team partner on the other. So don't make it out to believe that you hung the moon. But then again what good are tag titles when that was as far as you could mount yourself down there. Now you spoke about the Avenger and his career and in Atlanta. You know pal there is a reason why they call the Avenger "The Franchise!" It isn't because the Avenger was dead weight but the Avenger delivered in the clutch and never strayed away and was loyal as the Avenger now is with GCW in the heart of Chicago.

The Avenger hears the fans as they are really getting behind him as it seems they have acknowledged him now as a fan favorite.

Now my career is legendary and believe me pal when the Avenger says that he is the most sought out main player. The Avenger isn't some rook that got lucky to land a contract. He isn't some jabroni or clown that can't hold his own. Remember friend that the Avenger has main evented every show he has been on in GCW. So the Avenger believes his career isn't so bad and not counting the multiple titles he has had in Atlanta. There was no bigger star to ever come out of there and if you look on my left shoulder you can pretty much guarantee the stardom hasn't left the Avenger. The Avenger is the Continental Heavyweight Champion. He defeated Remmy who was a tough cookie as well as Brandon "Genesis" Payne and Bryan Colombain. The Avenger feels you couldn't beat any of those three so why should the Avenger feel you got a chance with me?

The crowd gets pumped up again as the Avenger stares more in the soul of Blaze.

Now Blaze the Avenger will let the historians teach you if you haven't learned yet about the wrath, prestige, and talent of the Avenger. But since that will be a hard and over the top read for you then the Avenger plans on teaching you tonight in "Revelation 101." Don't be late for the beatdown. The Avenger knows that Kris Kain is no soft customer either and know that both of you may want to make a name for yourself by getting the victory. But one way or another the Avenger will walk out victorious.

Now if the Avenger has accomplished nothing then what have you accomplished? The Avenger is holding the biggest title in this company and the only thing you are holding is your self pride and nothing to show for it. Remember pal this isn't the Avenger's first rodeo as World Champion. He was the man in the South and by the looks of it the Avenger is the man in the North. So what the Avenger says is this: You get your carcus in my ring tonight and the Avenger will deliver to these fans what they want to see and that is you "burning in a blaze".

So Blaze you warm up because at the end of the night reality will hit in and once again the Avenger will show the world why he is the man and why you are just another puppet and the Avenger is the one pulling the strings. Get ready "fizzle" because you are on the wrong end tonight and the Avenger will show you to these fans what you really are.

The Avenger points at the title and then points at Blaze

See you tonight little man! The Avenger may leave a little of you for Kris Kain to mop up. You are a warm up match Blaze for my title defense at MindGames. And if you think you got game for my title then beat someone to get that opportunity. You know like the two nobodies that the Avenger beat to get this title. Either way the Avenger will leave you laying and focus on the PPV.

[blaze]

Blaze just smiles. This is what he needed, craved, longed for. A challenge. No, not just any challenge, a worthy challenge. Sure this rook would be nothing more than a punching bag, but to get to Avenger, he would be worth going through. Yes, to get to a real challenge, anything would be worth going through.

"Ask and you shall recieve my friend...Ask....and you shall recieve."

Exactly what Blaze meant by that is unclear, but the general thought is that Avenger was asking for a challenge and Blaze was about to make sure he would recieve it. And with that, Blaze drops his Mic and begins to back track towards the stage curtain. A devious smile still on face, he disappears behind the backstage curtain. All for the sake of a challenge...
