Bio: Born July 24th 1975, in New York City, Jermaine Jackson's (Funkmaster) father left his mother and him to fend for themselves in New York City. But since Fro's mom couldn't get well paying jobs they were forced to move to Brooklyn in a small apartment building. As the years went on Fro started getting into all sorts of trouble, some nights he wouldn't even come home. At the age of sixteen, Fro dropped out of school, even though his mother was strongly against it, Fro didn't care. That was also the age when he began to be called by his freinds, Fro instead of Jermaine. His freinds first called him that when he tried getting into one of their cars, and he couldn't fit the fro in, so he stuck his head out the window. A couple years later Fro's mother got very ill, and he had to go to work to support her and pay the bills. Fro got a job at a local small gym/arena. His job was to make sure the lights were off at night and that the palce was clean after local boxing matches, and wrestling matches. he was being payed very little money, so he decided to ask one of the managers of the wrestling matches if he could go on the road with them as a ring constructure or whatever they needed. When the man said sure, Fro was hardly excited, but he knew he needed more many then he was earning here. Since the fed was very small and only traveled around the NY area he could always stop back at home and visit his mother. At one event when he was setting up a ring, one of the bookers asked him if he could be in a match. He was told he would get paid, Fro jumped at the idea. His tag team partner was a veteran of indy wrestling, his name was "Big Funk" Reggie Brown. Fro soon became freinds with him and Big Funk began to train Fro. After becoming a part of the indy fed's roster, Big Funk asked Fro if he wanted to go to Japan with him and tag with him. Fro said yes, but was hesitant, before leaving he got one of his freinds to look after his momma. When they got to Japan Fro was givin a new attire to match Big Funk's. This was a big deal to Fro, because he had just been wrestling in Jeans and sneakers. At this time Fro's wrestling name was his real name, so Big Funk cristened him "Funkmaster Fro". After returning to Japan and winning tag titles, Big Funk was very old and decided it was his time to retire. When he told Fro, Fro decided that he would return to the States with him. When he returned he started wrestling the indy circuit again. One year later, his mentor Big Funk passed away at the age of 54. Fro was devistaed and stopped wrestling for a while. At the age of 24 Funk returned to wrestling around the country. ever since then Fro has dedicated each and every match to the memory of Big Funk. Fro hasn't become a house hold name yet, but comming to GCW is the next step in the long carreer of the 32 year old Funkmaster.
