Continental Champion Arrives

[Avenger]

LockUp begins as the announcers are getting ready for the aftermath of the PPV.

Announcer #1: Fans what did Absolution bring us? The beginning of some true champions. Matter of fact the first ever Continental Champion was crowned in a massive night of action. We all got our monies worth. Hold up fans. Are you sure? He is here and coming out now? Okay fans the Champ is in the buiding and ready to come out.

The lights dim as The Avenger comes out as the fans look and take pictures. He has the Continental Championship over his left shoulder as he holds his arms in a crosslike motion. He begins to make his walk to the ring as the announcers look on. The Avenger slowly gets in the ring as the ring announcer gives him a mic and leaves the ring. The Avenger gathers in the "Pop" and sighs before talking.

Now let the Avenger first say what a great night it was for me and the LockUp roster. The Avenger must give his props to Shia Storm who came out as the LockUp Champion. So pal great work. But let me say a few things in regard of the PPV. The first thing is that every match the Avenger was in was a battle and a war. The Avenger and Brandon Payne went at it like old times. He defeated me at Exodus leaving me laying in my own blood and at Absolution the payback occurred. Now the Avenger paid the ultimate price back then but at Absolution it made things sweet to walk out as Continental Champion.

You see the Avenger and Brandon Payne battled but at the end of the day the Avenger busted you up Payne and went on to face the high flying Jin Remmy. Now Remmy you got all the tools kid and we fought and brought the house down. You took everything the Avenger could give and the Avenger realizes that. So the victory over you was sweet as well since the Avenger knows you got the tools to be a champion of some kind in the near future.

Now Bryan Colombain. You are a beast. You are the biggest dude the Avenger has ever faced. You are ripped and cut and a man that is for sure. The Avenger knows that we both wanted the title and at the end of the day the Avenger came out as Champion. The Avenger is tired after the PPV but he is here tonight to show all the fans and all the viewers at home that The Avenger is the man.

The fans errupt as the Avenger gathers himself before talking again. Pretty emotional with what has happened.

You see The Avenger climbed in this tournament knowing that he had a battle in every match but knew that to climb to the top he wasn't going to wrestle some has beens or wannabes from some other federations. He knew that in GCW it was the cream of the crop. And being Champion in GCW means you are the very best in the business. The Avenger knows that being "The Man" over here means that everyone is gunning for me. Everyone from the LockUp roster to the Mayhem Roster. So boys you know who has the title. All the Avenger knows is that the GM's in the back know it and the Avenger plans on carrying this title for a very long time.

You see every since the Atlanta deal went down; The Avenger was the man over there and a multiple World Champion. But he also knows that in GCW your past history means zilch. So at the PPV it was sweet justice to climb that proverbial ladder and become the Continental Champion. And for those that want to say to the Avenger that you are washed up or never will be anything then all the Avenger can say is this.

The Avenger holds the title in the air and the fans go crazy. He then lays it back on his left shoulder.

Now the Avenger knows at "MindGames" that there will be a worthy opponent coming and all the Avenger can say is that if you want this title then you will have to just about kill me. So boys get ready because the Avenger is not laying down for anybody. The Avenger knows the ride of being the "face" of this company comes with a price and the Avenger plans on paying that price.

The Avenger is one that doesn't like to talk about his past since it is the thing that haunts him today. The Avenger is now in GCW and for the doubters no matter where you are take a good look and realize that the Avenger is not someone that wrestles dark matches or in the top part of the card. The Avenger has been a main eventer and always will be one. No need to talk about that "Bingo Hall" but just know the two biggest organizations the Avenger has done what he said he was going to do.

So tonight the Avenger stands before you accomplishing the one thing he set his eyes to. The Avenger is the First Ever Continental Champion! The world is at the feet of the Avenger and he plans on bringing the house down tonight as well. That's right the Avenger may of had several matches at the PPV but the Avenger is here to perform.

The Avenger looks at the crowd as they chant his name.

Suddenly, Puddle of Mudd "Livin' on Borrowed Time" begins to play in the arena. Fans immeadiatly start to boo as a seemingly bitter Brandon 'Genesis' Payne makes his way into the arena. Walking to the ring with a small bandage over his head after being cut open. You can just tell by the look in his face. That he doesn't seem to be in a good mood.

With a microphone already in hand when he walked out. Gen. walks up the steps and enters the ring. In doing so, he yells in the microphone:

CUT THE DAMN MUSIC !!!

Fans begin to boo as the music begins to fade off into the background. Brandon looks at Sebastian. Still in shock that he actually made it that far to win the Contiental Championship.

He walks over to Sebastian and stands just a mere couple of feet in front of him. In a shocking turn of events. A sudden smile comes across BP's face as he EXTENDS his hand out to Avenger. We can only assume that BP is congratulating Avenger for his victory. Is Genesis turning over a new leaf here tonight ? Is this bitter feud finally over ?

The Avenger looks at Brandon Payne wondering if this is legit or just another ploy to sucker the Avenger back in. The fans have a mixed reaction about the confrontation.

You know something Payne the Avenger figured you would come out here. Our whole battle for each other has been documented and legendary. Even you would have to acknowledge that. But you see the Avenger doesn't trust anyone but let the Avenger be the first to say that we had our battle at Exodus and then at Absolution. We both getting a victory but with this title the Avenger knows not to turn his back to anyone. But since you are out here and want to join the party then so be it. So you want to congratulate me or are you just out here to play your little tricks again?

The Avenger lends his hand out but being cautious of what could happen.

Genesis accepts and shakes Avenger's hand as the crowd erupts. No one can believe that Genesis is doing this.. Is this really legit ? As Gen. shook the hand of Avenger. He raises the mic up with his other and and says:

Don't be so shocked Sebastian. I'm simply congratulating you.

There is an old saying: "Keep your friends close...

Genesis then suddenly pulls Avenger closer to him and says:

"But your enemies...CLOSER !"

Genesis relinquishes the hand shake and takes several steps back. He then stares at the Contiental Championship over Avenger's shoulder. Just shaking his head... you can tell the anger is just burning inside of him. Genesis having to bare witness what had happened 2 years ago all over again. His worst fears had come true. There he was. Standing before his mentor, gazing at his world championship. Having to suffer, knowing that he (Genesis) had failed !

He raises the mic up and says to Avenger:

I'm going to go ahead & cut right to the chase. Right here, right now Sebastian. At the next Pay-Per-View 'Mind Games'. I'm challenging you for the Contiental Championship !

Crowd erupts into a feeding frenzy.

Our records against each other are 1-1 correct ? Lets settle all of this once & for all. Last night, you took away my moment ! Absolution was supposed to be my night. The night that I would be standing just as you are right now on LockUp as the new Contiental heavyweight champion of the world !

I must admit. I didn't think you had it in you to make it to the finals. I knew that if you somehow, someway got past me. That one of the other guys would've got to you and took you out. You can only picture in your mind my shock. Seeing you take down Jin Remmy & and that beast Bryan Colombain like it was nothing !

Now... I don't know whats going on with you and that whack job Vengence. Of course, assuming that you accept my challenge. You've got about 3 weeks to prepare for me. I failed last night... but I can GUARANTEE you this... I won't FAIL again !!!

I simply refuse to sit back and go through this all over again.. I just can't... no.... I WON'T let it happen again !

Genesis starts pacing around the ring. As it seems that Genesis has finally lost it... he's snapped ! Reminscent from the brawl out on the streets of Chicago a mere 30 days ago. It seems as if Avenger has pushed Genesis over the edge last night.

Genesis then suddenly rips off his bandage. In doing so, blood begins to trickle down his face. As the stitches have been opened up.

See this blood on my face !? This will be a friendly reminder of the pain you caused me 24 hours ago at Absolution. Right now, I see nothing but red... and I don't mean BLOOD !

As long as you have that strap around your waist... Sebastian... or Avenger... whatever you like to call yourself nowadays. You will be my new 'Lease on Life' !

That belt defines that you are the best... the best at what you to. Its been exactly one year since I've last been a World Champion. Where at one time. I was the best in this industry. I want nothing more then to make it back to that level again !

From now until Mind Games. I recommend you Avenger to have eyes in the back of your head. You don't know when... you don't know where... you don't know how ! But I will.... pay you back for the mental and physical anguish you've caused me !

The Avenger stares a hole at Genesis as he watches the blood drip from his head.

You see Payne the "Road To Recovery" is the same road you traveled during how past lives. You know the "Road Of Transgression." You see Payne you must think the Avenger is some loser or blind to you and your intentions. Remember those days when we ran the road together and you learning from the best in the business? You remember those days? You remember how you got to see how Champions handle their business? You must of learned something since you have had your share of success as well. The Avenger must say you have impressed me with your time in the ring. But the fact of the matter is that last month you were done with the Avenger and the Avenger said he was not done with you. Now with that said Payne what you desire is around my left shoulder. You are in the ring with the best and what disturbs you is that the Avenger is wearing the biggest gold in this company and not you!

Announcer #1: Did you hear that fans! It seems that the Champ is not affected on what Brandon "Genesis" Payne just came in the ring with.

Now you come out here thinking that things are different. You still are looking at the man with the title and all of the things you dreaded have come to pass. Now the Avenger isn't one that thinks or believes in shadows but the fact of the matter is that you want to face me in the ring for this title at MindGames. You think you are the #1 contender? Now the Avenger has got no doubt you are one of the #1 contenders and would love to beat your a@@ one more time for old times sakes. But remember "MindGames" is the PPV and how funny it reminds of all of the historians about who is the "Master" of that.

Now you are a beaten man with blood that the Avenger loves he brought to pass. But you see Remmy and Colombain are not chopped liver as well you are not. The fact remains that the Avenger will put this title on the line at MindGames and whoever wants some will get something they don't want and by the look of you, you know first hand what it means to get in the ring with the Avenger. But lets be fair and say who faces the Avenger will come into my world and in my ring and my environment at MindGames.

The Avenger pauses as the fans explode

Now you think the Avenger has friends? The Avenger trusts no one and he knows that having this title means guys like you, Colombain, Starr, Cruise, and others are wanting to take me off of my throne. Now the Avenger can tell that you hate failure but don't look at the loss against the greatest wrestler ever as a failure but as a test to see what you must do to get over the hump. So Genesis let the Avenger be the first to say in 3 weeks the title will be up and he knows that whoever gets in this ring with me will get the beat down of their life.

The Avenger plans on wrestling tonight and who knows maybe the Avenger can beat the crap out of Vengence since that guy as you say is off his lid. Just you have a good match tonight in what you feel is your destiny. But the bottom line is that the Avenger is not giving this title away and you will have almost kill me to take it from my hands. So you witnessed that the Avenger is about winning and being the best. Tonight the Avenger will look at your little match and wish you luck. Just know that the next time you get in the ring with the Avenger it will be an "eye opening" experience.

Oh believe me Sebastian.. I know a thing or two on how this business is ran. I ran with the likes of you before. Hell, I've been where your at today. Don't stand there and try to insult my intelligence. I admit to failure from last night's loss. But I'll make sure that it won't happen again.

There's guys in the locker room that I know want your head. Guys like me, Colombain, Calloway, Remmy, Hollows, Starr, Blaze, etc, etc. Add my name to that list and we all want what you have over your shoulder. Fact is, Avenger, I know in the old days. You could defend the title and run with it very well.

Course, granted that was the PAST.

Today however... I'm, not so sure... Even though you have the belt on your shoulder right now. I STILL think you are way past your prime big man.

Way I see it.. out of our current win/loss record here in the GCW. The only real loss thats on our card is from the both of us. We already proved that we can bust each other open and bleed like a stuffed pig.

At Mind Games.. since this is Brandon "Genesis" Payne/The Avenger 3.

Lets take things up a notch shall we ? Lets make this one match special. As a matter of fact, Sebastian. Lets take this one back to where it all STARTED !

Out on the streets !

Thats ride Sebastian. If you are MAN ENOUGH to face me at Mind Games. Seeing as how you are standing here trying to avoid my challenge. Here is one for ya. How about Avenger/Genesis III, in a Parking Lot Brawl Match for the Contiental Championship ?

No rules...

No boundaries...

No DQ/s....

No Countouts....

Only way to win is by knocking your opponent the fuck out ! Avenger, I've done it before. And I'll damn sure do it again.

So in other words, Mr. Crowe.... screw those others guys in the back. I've got you in my crosshairs. Just waiting to pull the fuckin' trigger.

Not only do I want to beat you once and for all. Not only do I wanna take your title. I wanna be the man who shoots The Avenger DEAD !!!

The Avenger stares at Genesis as he knows what Genesis is trying to do. The fans wait for a reaction and the Avenger slowly lifts the mic back up.

You know Payne how things change they really stay the same. The Avenger is sure you would agree with that. But you see the Avenger has never and will never run from anything. He will carry this title well and like the past he will make examples out of the roster just like he did at the PPV. You make it out to seem that the Avenger went down Bel Air and whipped a few bellboys to get this title. The Avenger defeated in one night 3 top stars. And he isn't ashamed in putting you in that class because you are a top star. But you see don't you try to insult the intelligence of the Avenger or these fans by saying that the Avenger is past his prime. Because if he was then how did he defeat not just 1 or 2 but 3 big stars? That's right, the Avenger didn't get a free pass but had to earn this title and by no means will he be giving it up anytime soon.

Now the Avenger will give you credit about giving the Avenger his only loss here at GCW but then again the win the Avenger has over you is pretty big now isn't it. It is the win that propelled the Avenger into the tournament and to win this nice title you see over my left shoulder. The same title you are going to take from me, right? The same title that you are willing to give your life for? And the same title at the PPV that the Avenger plans on keeping. But you see Genesis you don't have to prove anything to the Avenger because the Avenger knows you all too well. You see at Exodus you claimed to "wash your hands" of me so basically you was the one running and not the Avenger. And yeah the Avenger knows there are guys at Mayhem as well wanting a piece of me and wanting what the Avenger has and that is the Continental Championship.

The Avenger looks at Genesis and then at the title as he taps it with his right hand before speaking again.

Now come the PPV the Avenger plans on defending this title but it will be on the terms that the Avenger wants. As Champion, the Avenger pretty much gets that right. So you get yourself in gear because for the next few weeks you will be a little busy. The Avenger knows you will want to compete tonight at LockUp against a proven star. And the Avenger will be at the "House Show" to see how you do against the man the Avenger defeated to be champion. So if you haven't noticed you are booked against the beast Bryan Colombain. And believe me he is no small potatoe. He is sure probably wanting another round against the Avenger.

So how the Avenger sees things is that you are very deserving as well as a few others. But if you can survive then the Avenger has got no problems giving you a shot and not running away or washing my hands of you. It will be fun to take my frustrations out on you once again. The Avenger will watch how you do my friend and come MindGames the Avenger will be the one playing the biggest "MindGame" of them all. So you get ready for your busy month and watch your back because you never know when the "Revelation" will be upon you! And good luck to you tonight in your quest against the LockUp roster and eat your Wheaties against Colombain. The Avenger will be waiting to see if you can muster up the energy and at MindGames the title stays with the Avenger. No matter if it is you, Colombain, Starr, Blaze, Remmy, or anyone else that GCW throws at me.
