Near silence, the worked up fans calming down for a moment as an unoccupied ring sits infront of them. A commercial break was just ending, an obvious sign that something was about to fill their short moment of unexcitedness. Who knew that something would be GCW's resident pyromaniac.
The musical styling of Seether begin to fill the arena as the Pa system booms to life. 'Fake It' to be more exact, a theme the 'Inferno' called his own. This music near instantly sending the fans into a frenzy. Only seeing this man enter with this particular theme once, that being at the Pay-Per-View, it was more than enough for them all to know who it was coming down to the ring now.
Emerging from behind the backstage curtain with a Mic already in hand was none other than Blaze. A twisted smile gracing his face as he stands on the stage. He peers out at all the fans, what a sight. Slowly, he makes his way down to the ring, bypassing his normal entrance which they would all get to see later in the night hopefully. That is, if he could get an opponent here. He enters the ring, sliding beneath the bottom rope and mounts the nearest turnbuckle. Striking his oh so famous extreme pose for the fans. The camera flashes come in a multitude, illuminating the darkened arena. He now dismounts the turnbuckle and stands center ring. Raising the Mic to his lips...
"How are we doing Chicagoooooooo?!?!"
The fans cheer for the cheap pop. Doing nothing more than building up Blaze's already overinflated ego...
"Man, ya'll must be some rich mo'fos here for real. I mean....Pay-Per-View...Sold out!"
The fans cheer. Man, these Chicago fans were easy...
"MayheM....Though nowhere as good as the show we're going to put on tonight...I believe was sold out."
Same reaction from the fans as Blaze approaches the ring ropes. Standing on the bottom rope as he stares out into the sea of cheers...
"And here tonight...GCW LockUp....sold...the hell...out!"
And there it was. A huge pop, the fans going wild just as Blaze had wanted them to. Oh yes, he knew how to play to a crowd by this point in his career. I would say he was pretty good at it myself. Jumping back off the bottom rope, he now stands center ring again...
"I know you've all heard the rumors. You know...about yours truly actually being drafted to Mayhem and then asking to be traded to LockUp. Now, I've heard many variations once the story reaches this part...Loud mouth bastards saying I whined and cried till I got traded...Some morons saying I was afraid of the MayheM talent so I hightailed it over here....Some even going as far as to say I paid off the bosses to get my show switched. The simple fact of the matter is though....I'm a broke ass, not afraid of anybody on any roster, fight not whine son of a bitch!....And to simplify it even more....I strive for competition...LockUp can give me that.....MayheM...Not a chance in blue bloody hell."
The fans are really into it as Blaze begins to belittle the other show. The smile on his face only growing larger...
"You see...I simply asked to be traded to the 'A' show....Being such a suave, debonair type...I simply walked into the bosses office...had a little meeting...And me, being such a big named talent to this place...Easily got what I wanted...."
Blaze tries to play off the matter as nothing important...
"You see...I had to do this. I needed to get away from such lame talent us...ugh...Andrew Rose. I needed to get away from carrying....ugh...Corey Hollows.....Hell, I needed to get away from having to carry a show full of nobodies....Though, I will most likely find myself in the same situation here...."
That, was a turning point in fan reaction. They immediately begin to boo as Blaze had mentioned Hollows. There it was, his arrogant side showing once more. Something I'm afraid we'll see much more of this year. However, Blaze just ignores them and continues on...
"Now, honestly...I do have some respect for the rook Andrew Rose. At least he wasn't completely pathetic in our match. Hell, I got to give him props for bloodying me. An accomplishment very few...and I mean..very damn few...have accomplished."
Wow, Blaze praising a rook? Don't expect that to happen again...Ever...
"So...tonight...thats what I'm looking for again. Someone who can take me to and beyond my limits. Someone to give this main eventer a main event sized challenge. Anyone...you can be the cracked out rook backstage....The vet that don't show his face for days....Or the badass that just needs to be put in his place...Who ever you are...Its time to step up....and get Blazed!"
Blaze now lowers his Mic. Awaiting someone...Anyone with hopefully an ounce of talent to accept his challenge. He was ready to put on a hell of a show....
