.:It had indeed been a relatively long trip to Chicago. Just the driving and stopping alone took Jeff a day to do... The highway's were well traveled so it didn't take as long as he had expected. Once he saw the Welcome to Chicago sign he just gave out a sigh of relief.
But that wasn't even the hardest part of the trip. The hardest part was definitely trying to FIND the damn apartment building that his friend lived in. It took him a few hours... at minimum. He asked a few store workers and people on the streets. Which wasn't exactly the smartest thing to do since most people in cities could really care less about helping out a 'tourist' so to speak.
But here he finally stood, at the door of his long time friend. Sighing one last time, he outstretches a hand and knocks on the door as he waited. Sure he looked a bit out of the ordinary, but not too much. Other people who lived in the building walking past him, not really giving him a second glance. Who in the city really does though? He wasn't even thinking about that though... only about if the friend would be happy to see him...:.

As Ariel opened up the refrigerator she hears knocks on her door. The knocks certainly startled her as she wasn't expecting anybody. Making sure the door to the fridge closed she turned around and started her way to the door.
Finishing her walk over to the door, Ariel looked out the little peep hole near the top. Don't want to open the door on a murderer now do ya? Her eyes lit up as she saw just who it was on the the other side, she almost frantically undid the locks, finally as the last one unlocked she turned the knob and smiled at Jeff..
Long time no see...
She just had that sort of cocky attitude about her, trying to hide her ecstatic emotions about finally getting to see her old friend again.
How long has it been Jeff? Four? Five years?

.:Scratching the back of his head as he thinks about how long it really has been. But that really just takes a back seat to the rest of his thoughts. Those thoughts were pretty varied... from the standard Male thought of how 'hot' she was and such... to the good friend thought of how good it was to finally see her again.:.
"I do think it is around that long if I do remember correctly..."
.:He smiled faintly as he continued to think. His main ones were certainly those two mentioned before hand. Not a single thought of Mikki. She didn't really have a problem when he told her over the phone....:.
"Well... its good to finally see ya again."

Yeah...
Ariel was just too happy to finally see him again. She had been in contact with almost every single one of her friends except for Jeff... he was just impossible to get in contact with unless he wanted to. He was a jerk, but she didn't really care all that much. They were just close friends and not seeing some one for five years from seeing them almost every day is sort of an odd change. Remembering the old times. It caught her almost in a trance like state, almost oblivious that he was standing right there. As she snapped out of it, thats when it actually hit her.
Oh! Sorry, would you like to come in? I'm sure we have ALOT to talk about... Five whole years to cover.

"Yeah..."
.:He smiled faintly at Ariel. Her enthusiasm sort of reminded him of Mikki. She always felt so strongly about things... it kind of made him miss her, but then he remembered that he didn't want to be rude and be all sad around Ariel for the first day they were back together again.:.
"We do have a lot to talk about..."
.:And with that, Jeff stepped into the apartment as the two start exchanging news about what happened during the five years.:.
.~:END:~.
