"Motherfucker..."
__Downtown Chicago~Crowley Residency__
"... Jesus. Now what the fuck is all this......"
A young woman. Young house, young dreams. All of which seem to have just been, broken. Her boots step into a dark liquid on the kitchen floor. Blood. She sighs, taking her coat off and tossing it down onto the couch. It wasn't a big "house". It was really more of an apartment, kitchen, den, bedroom and bath were all quite close to one another. You could throw a fork from the couch and hit the sink with ease. She lifts her leg up a bit, looking at the bottom of her boot she shakes her head and begins to nod. Well that's just fucking great.
"Which one of you little bastards is in here now? I'm getting tired of this man."
No answer, silence. She shakes her head while closing her eyes. Tired of this, tired. Walking a bit from her kitchen into her den, the sound of slight motion starts coming from the bedroom. Directly further from the den, she tries to look through the open door to see if anyone is still around in there.
"You know at this point I'm going to start calling the cops. I understand you guys let a lot of problems I cause around here slide, but you can't come in here and kill my fucking pets anytime you're pissed at me. That ain't part of the deal."
Silence. Complete and utter silence. She coughs out before walking into the bedroom, looking around it's quite evident no human is in the room except herself. She notices a small bundle of clothing, moving? Kneeling down she lifts up a pair of jeans to find an injured, bleeding little bunny. She tosses the jeans aside and pulls her cell phone out of her pocket, hitting one of the speed dial buttons quickly.
"Look at you... alive after all. Good on ya. Mind telling me who did this? Guess not huh....
Yeah, hey doc what's up? I kind of need you to give me another house call. Chester here has a little need to see you right now. Yeah... yeah yeah, just get here alright? Thanks doc.
Well.... aren't you lucky? Don't worry the doc is coming to have a look at you. Least they left you alive this time.... huh Chester?"
She smiles at the little bunny, giving it a soft pat on the head. Getting up from the floor she dusts herself off and heads into the kitchen. Opening a cabinet and pulling out what? A dog food bowl. Name engraved on the side: Chester. She opens the fridge and grabs a ziplock bag out of it, along with a can of beer and a package of slimjims. She opens the ziplock bag and dumps the meat inside of it out into a frying pan on the stove. Opens the can of beer and takes a swig or so as she heats the meat through. Shaking the pan a bit to release all the meat from its compressed locked state. After it's warm she dumps the meat into the bowl and dunks the pan into the sink. Grabbing her slimjims, she picks up the bowl with her free hand, tucks the jims under her arm and grabs her beer. Making her way over to little Chester. She puts the bowl down in front of him so he can reach it, and sits down in the doorway.
"I didn't put any of the spices in this time. If the doc knew I was giving you meat with seasoning he'd probably kill me and say it wasn't healthy or something like that. Bah, what does he know anyway right? Don't worry... we're moving out soon anyway."
She lifts her can of beer, taking another swig as she looks to the door and waits for the good ol' doc to show up. Her and the doc had a long history of... well not friendship, more of knowing each other. He was where she got Chester. He was a very very special Rabbit.... the doc had been known in their old home town of Colorado to be a bit... out there. Not insane but, not the farthest side of mentally stable either ya know? He was the one who wanted to try and.... make, a pet. She was personally glad to have little Chester... after all. How many Rabbits you know that have already been buried, four times over?
