$-Her words trail off slowly into silence, her chin still resting stagnant in the center of her palm as she seemed to hang on each and every word out of his mouth. An awkward silence came over the room, Candice clearly missing her cue to offer a response of some sort. A few blinks ensued, slowly but surely snapping herself from her day dream like state. Her opposite hand arose towards her mouth in a fist like manner, covering it as a small cough escaped her lips just before she finally seemed prepared to give a response...-$

"That sounds...Absolutely profound Mr. Lebowski. It's always nice to see a specimen, I MEAN!!...Um, athletes such as yourself with some experience seeking to step into the lime light."

"Too many times I've encountered inviduals who've either, never set foot in a ring or just simply believe it's some over glorified modeling job...I'm impressed hearing your credentials...Very...Impressed. But I have to ask you why GCW? Of course I know about the flyer but...There are literally hundreds of promotions in which you could have sought employment. And for some odd reason, with every word she uttered, his body temperature rises. It's been a LONG while since a chick made him get overheated like this. He smoothly excuses himself while he removes his denim jacket. He tosses it toward a nearby coat rack, hooking it divinely. It was nothing really, just until he opened his mouth again.

Why GCW? All I have to say is why not? New business getting off the ground, a similar route like my very own career. The saying goes birds of a feather fly together so it just seemed to click from the moment I laid eyes on y... it... the flyer I mean.

$-Her eyes never leaving his, her hand found it's way to the drawer nearest her, pulling out a contract and slowly placing it on the desk in front of her, slowly sliding it in his direction...-$

Was it just him or was she...?? Maybe that's what he wants to believe. He still can't believe that he's cracking under this pressure. Good thing she's not seeing him sweat, he hopes.

Reaching for the fine plume next to the document to deliver the goods, his Hanc... umm his signature, he had to ask one thing before signing. About the cheddar. New city, new surroundings and his dad said he'd cut him off financially when he signed anything concerning exclusivity to a wrestling company. Traditional dads in the biz and their values.

What's the start up pay? Umm, if I may ask?

$-Not even reaching for the now signed document, Candice moves not an inch, her gaze never wavering for a second as she speaks...-$

"$50,000 starting wage for the nine month season Mr. Divine..."

$-Oh now it's Divine? ::)She quickly snaps from her trance like gaze, her eyes darting all over the desk she sat in front of, seconds later taking up the contract and glancing it over a few seconds before making eye contact with him once more...-$

"Everything looks...Perfect sir...I um...Do believe we're officially done...Here...Unless there's anything I could...Do for you that is?"

Was she hinting him to ask her out on a date? Any other day, he'd be able to read that signal, but yeah...

50 K's sounds good. Bonuses and things like that would help it move right on up too. Miles Divine has to reel in those ratings though, so I'll do just that.

Another momentary pause that begins another round of the ever-prevalent awkward silence episodes between the two.

Are you... umm... busy to show a guy around this place? Any good hotels you know around here while we're at it?

$-Okay that sounded awkward...Perhaps a bit TOO awkward...Damnit decision time it seems. Should she take the offer and do just as he asked of her, or remain professional like she ALWAYS does and send him on his merry way. Damn ethics and morals...-$

"I'd love to Mr. Divine, I truly would...

...But...I'm going to have to unfortunately...Pass up on that offer..."

Should have thought so, Miles. You and your mouth. Placing his hand behind his head, he gives her a quick glance before getting himself back together and standing up out of his chair.

My fault. Should have known that you're busy and all with starting up such an operation like this.

How could he have been so naive? He's about to get his stuff and go on his merry way until he forgets that he had to say goodbye. He turns back to her, placing that same hand on the back of his head, and extends the other.

The pleasure was all mine, Candice. Umm, it was simply F.I.N.E meeting you.

$-Only seconds later her hand meets his, as a brief handshake ensues, smiling as she replies...-$

"No sir, the pleasure was actually all mine. And I'm terribly sorry about...Well, hopefully I can take you up on your offer someday in the future. I hope...There are no hard feelings?...But... Until then...Welcome to GCW. I'll be looking forward to seeing you again."

He smiles, making sure she didn't feel bad about turning him down this time around. With another quick and final nod, he swings around the chair, picks up his personal belongings from the couch near the door, and makes his way out.

Yet, he couldn't help but wonder he was forgetting something. *cough*Yourcoatontherackgenious*cough* That went right over his head as he steps into the hallway, and closes the door behind him. He falls back on the near wall with a thump, then he slowly starts pounding the back of his head with that very wall. What the hell happened in there, he could only think. WAIT! Didn't she say that she was hoping to see him again? You're looking too much into it, Miles! Okay, okay. Time to gain back the cool, the fine-ness. Who knows what he'll find in this city, so new to him.

And up the hallway he went, on his merry and FINE way...
