In all honesty, Kaori lost her epic rock-paper-scissors bout with her sister Kaoru earlier on purpose. Even though it had been a couple weeks since her back was forcefully driven onto the arena floor, she was still feeling the effects, and wasn't feeling completely comfortable. Walking backstage, she quickly paused after going past the entrance curtains and stretched out her back a bit, trying relax it, trying to make it feel a little less tense then it was. However, it wasn't working, that constant feeling of laying on your back incorrectly after having a topsy-turvy night of sleep remained constant. Letting out a sigh, she arches her back a bit before suddenly getting handed a towel. Looking at the person who handed her the towel awkwardly, she merely shrugs, and drapes it over her shoulders, pretending like she just had a long, hard, time-grueling match with an Olympian athlete. "She was a tough one, but I managed to pull it through." She replies, giving the person a weak thumbs up. She got no response other then a eye-roll as Kaori simply frowned. "And that was grade-A acting." Putting her past with that personnel staff member behind her, she continues to walk further backstage until finally getting into a more open space. Space where practically everyone was doing something. Nattie...sitting on the floor, cross-legged as she played her Nintendo DS. Shayne Williams looking concerned about something. Amongst other people, people she all seemingly recognized. Finding an open seat, she plops down, and begins to lean back in her chair, since slouching really helps back problems. "La, la, la, la~"

The first match ends as there is much noise from the arena. About five minutes later the chairs lurch when Gran Orientales half sits and half dies in the other open seat. She is muttering in half Japanese and half Spanish. It something about an Amazon who tried to kill her like a bear. Were there teeth marks? She didn't have the power to check yet.

Looking at the tired woman now sitting next her, looking completely exhausted, Kaori gets the feeling that the clean, dry towel draped over her shoulders was probably better suited for someone who just had a match. Nodding to herself, she grabs it, and hands it to Gran Orientales, "Here." She says, giving her a smile.

Domo. She gladly took it and threw it over her face. She was ten no eleven feet tall. The towel slipped down a little to uncover her eyes. She hit me with three of them. She looked over at the towel girl. Ah, it was one of her Japanese cohorts, one of the Xaviera sisters. She didn't know which one.
I know you? She was trying to remember a card back in 2007. Maybe in Tokyo, Autumn had knocked the details a little loose.

"Hmm..." Kaori 'hmm'd' aloud, placing her hand on her chin as she examined this character. Gran Orientales' face paint was somewhat faded, so it was hard to really determine. She then began to squint, "You know...if I squint, really-really hard, you do kind of look like someone I used to know." It had been a while, about two years ago, before the Xavieras were sent to America to compete for Action Packed Wrestling. She couldn't quite remember the specifics, it was so long ago. "Maybe it's just my imagination. BUT, I'm Kaori Xaviera." she sticks out her hand for a friendly handshake, "Maybe the name rings a bell?"

She squinted back for no reason. Oh, I know your family name. But I didn't know you were Kaori. She wiped a little more paint from her face. 2007? Osaka to Tokyo on a WWII bus? The tour was so badly planned we actually ended up paying for the honor of being there with our own cash instead of getting paid? Two sisters 'liberated' a band's catering table from a guarded dressing room so we could eat. She was still squinting. Was that you? She could have been mistaken.

"Worst. Experience. EVER." Kaori blurts out, laughing at the memory. "I don't even remember how Kaoru and I were pulled into such predicament, but somehow, somehow we were, and..." she now rolls her eyes at the memory, "...you know, it seemed so simple at first. The way the promoter spoke, I guess it just reeled us in. He had the vision."
Rummaging a hand through her hair, she then slouches back in her chair, and laughs again. "I don't know if you know Kaoru, but if you know her then you know it takes really good convincing for her to do anything out of the ordinary, but that night, that night she was starving. STARVING. She kept complaining, nagging why we had to become professional wrestlers when we seemingly had it made being pop idols." She then leaned forward, placing the palms of her hands on her knees, "So, when she saw that catering table her stomach had gotten the best of her, and she came up with the plan, straight out of the whim. It was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I would have never thought of my sister as the ultimate schemer. Especially when she's constantly on about her own weight. Even back then." Kaori then folds her arms, and closes her eyes confidently, "I couldn't say 'no,' I'm not afraid to admit I was hungry too, and I'm sure the other girls on the bus were as well, so...when it came to chance to be a hero, just like Uni-man, I took the opportunity."
She then opens her eyes wide, it finally hit her, "GRAN ORIENTALES! We shared a sandwich!"

Food? Gran always remembered food. Shrimp, lettuce and a seat with exactly one spring. We knew that because it kept poking us in the ass for over seven hours. She laughed, and felt better. You two were heroes. If only we could have stolen a decent promoter, it wouldn't have been half bad. She shrugged, there were worse stories. Wrestling on the circuit wasn't all towers, money and evenly cooked food like here in Chicago. It was warehouses, broken buses, date expired bento boxes and 6 girls who didn't really like each other crammed into a single bed room. Those were the 'big' shows. I'm glad you two are here. I can sleep better at night knowing I'll never go hungry.
