A Chicago cab pulled up in front of the GCW Corporate headquarters on Lake Shore Drive. But it felt more like the North Pole to the passenger who pulled her navy blue hood up over a generic ski cap she had bought at the airport. Her cell phone started to ring a second after the driver had popped the trunk. Hola?It was her mother and right on time, as usual. Sí sí. Everything is fine, Madre. She switched to English as she grabbed her two bags. She really needed to keep at it if this was going to work. She spoke three languages. Her mother spoke three languages. Her father spoke a half of language he always joked. That's sixteen dollars. The taxi driver leaned towards the passenger window from his warm seat. Qué? She looked at him, turned around and looked at the open trunk while her mother asked suspiciously who was with her. Sixteen dollars. He said again, this time pointing at his empty hands. Yes. They pay. She would have pointed at the tall building, but her arms were full and her chin was holding the phone. Madre, un momento. While juggling everything she closed the cab trunk with her foot. You pay! They pay! They pay!! She shot back, louder than him. They pay!!! Burro!!! She gave the trunk an extra kick and turned towards the building and back to her mother on the line. Increíble. She looked up and up and up. I think this might be good, Madre and it's so clean! That was the most incredible thing to her. The taxi horn blasted three times behind her as she told her mother that she would call back later. She walked inside towards reception and the receptionist. Good evening. The woman behind the clean glass smiled, looking up at noticing the luggage. Your name please?Orientales, Gran Orientales. It wasn't her full given name. But nobody called her that except her mother. We've been expecting you. Passport please. The receptionist motioned towards a slot in the glass. The details were taken care of friendly and efficiently. Thank you. In the end she had a magnetic key, a room number and a small booklet of information and extension numbers. This way? That's right Ms. Orientales. Straight through those doors and your card will give you access to your floor. There was a short pause. Oh, and welcome to GCW.Gracias. A minute later she would say sugoi! once she saw the view of Lake Michigan from her room.

She had slept like a log after the long flight. This last week had been all travel, all the time. The job offer from GCW had finally reached her in Osaka, a month after it had been sent. She wasn't the easiest person to track down. But after a one week stand that she had been contractually obliged to complete, she had flown to Mexico City then back to the airport for Chicago. Now here, looking out the window in her sweat pants and top. This is nice. She said to no one. She left the curtains open so she could see the small kitchen nook in the day light. It was a nice set up, just like she had said the night before. So this was what it was like to work for one of the big companies? I should have done this about five years ago. She shook her head and laughed while looking into the cupboards at the standard issue plates and glasses. She wasn't only excited about the window view or the dishes. This was going to be her chance to go against some of the famous names in the business. The girls who got TV exposure, something she had never had before. Like Jennifer Drew, Lessien Melwasul, Crymson, Michelle Tosso, and Melissa Armstrong. They were famous famous. She wasn't. So it was exciting for her if not a little nerve racking. Botching a match with the forty eight year old Jungle Julie, in front of 230 people, was different than botching things up on television. Oh well. She wasn't worried too much. The moves were the same and she knew something about that. Hmm. She wondered if she would be a face or a heel or even both. Her few communications with GCW gave her the feeling that, for the time being, she was here to plug up some holes. She should have used one of her old names, 'Recurso Provisional'. It's a good gig. She said finally and wondered if she should track down this Ms. Wallace or find a decent breakfast first.

She went with the breakfast. Anyone who knew her could've guessed that with out any difficulty. After a short post meal walk, she returned to her room view the view. Only now there was a letter in post slot, her name was printed clearly and neatly on the front of a corporate envelope. Heading inside, she opened it. MayheM- William James

[/li][/ul]
Hmm. She tried to remember what the different shows focused on, but couldn't. So she looked through her papers until she found the right one. That's right. LOCK-UP was a little more technical. MayheM was a little more violent. It made sense because she had a good grounding in the basics and ring psychology. It also made her a little relieved. She would wrestle whatever style they paid her to, but she found hardcore to be hard. Grabbing a pencil, she scratched two little stars next to Tosso and Drew's name. They were on that famous list. She also made a mark near the Xaviera sisters. She was pretty sure they had shared a card somewhere in Japan, but she wouldn't swear to it. The other two were new to her, so she didn't mark them and that was it. Six girls she was probably going to get to know very well before the year was up.
