The pipes on his bike cackle, as William James makes a final left turn, into the GCW parking lot. He finds a spot to park his bike, and climbs off, grabbing his bag off the back. He takes a short look around, and thinks to himself... "So, this is the 'new' GCW, huh.
Some nice new digs they got here now.
Wonder if the talent around here got any better?"He places his bag on the seat of his bike, and unzips it, looking for the key-card he was sent for his room. He finds it, and zips his bag back up, and pulls the strap over his shoulder. "Let's see if we can't raise some hell around here..."He begins to walk to the entrance of the new GCW Complex... |

Carson had been roaming the halls of the GCW complex still trying to get acquainted with the place. So far he had met a few other wrestlers and also had a run in with an enemy from the past. Overall things in the GCW were great. He was still excited about making his return to the ring. As he was making his way through the halls he saw another person that just walked into the complex. Carson made his way over to this man and decided to be friendly and introduce himself.

Not a mnute passes as he walks into the new complex, WJ is stopped by someone.
Normally, WJ would brush this guy off, and continue on his way.
For some strange reason, he decides to stop and talk...
"Not much, brother.
Just getting in from off the road.
Been a long trip from Seattle."
WJ couldn't place the new guy's face.
Never seen him before in his life or various travel stops.
Road weary and tired, WJ decides not to tear into this guy...
not yet anyway.
He extends his hand...
"Names... James.
William James.
And you are?"
Then he continues, with the obvious question,
with the answer already in his mind...
"New around here are ya?"

Being the friendly guy that he is, Carson extended his hand back to William James and gave him a handshake.
"The names Carson Freedom. Nice to meet ya’ man. Yeah I’m new here to this business. I just joined earlier this month. I just recently returned to wrestling after a serious elbow injury a little over a year ago. The place I was going to return to had closed its doors which led to me coming here. I saw that there were a bunch of wrestlers here from the old business and I liked what this place had to offer so I joined up. I’ve been itching to get back in the ring. I can’t wait for my first match. So what brings you here to the GCW?" |

Jacob walks by and looks at Carson and the person he's standing next to. Finally! A familiar face to him! William James, who Jacob had know in the ring of VWE.
Hey, James. Long time no see, huh? What's the deal with not keeping in touch with an old friend? I mean, it's been two years since the last time we saw each other, and you don't even have the common courtesy to find me in the yellow book and give me a ring? Ahh, no deal. Anyway, what have you been up to in the past two years, 'cause I unfortunately haven't done a damn thing except watch the rust grow on these shoulders.
He looks at Carson again and decides to say something.
Name's Jacob Stevens, man. Good to meet you, I guess. Always fun to meet someone I can get in the ring later, am I right?
Jacob laughs and holds out a hand for Carson to shake.

Carson watches as another person steps into the scene. Carson didn’t know who this person was except for the fact that he joined the VWE after he had left with the injury. The man first spoke to William James. After a few moments he had spoken to Carson. Following his words he extended his hand toward Carson. Carson looked down at the hand that was extended by the guy who had said that his name was Jacob Stevens. Carson extended his arm and hand and shook the newcomer’s hand. Following this he responded to what Jacob had said.
"Good to me ya’ also man. I’m Carson. Yeah, ya’ really never know who you’re gonna step in the ring with. So yeah it’s good to meet a possible future opponent in the ring. So what brings ya’ here Jacob?" |

The hope of starting over I guess. I came because I saw Joe Bruiser gallivanting all over the television thinking he's such a big shot in the business, so I decided to come back and prove him wrong. But that won't get to happen until sometime in March because of certain issues with my contract at the moment. What brought you here? I hope it isn't anything like Joe's reasons for sticking around because I have to say, you're talking to the wrong person if it is. I'd absolutely hate to hear about your arm getting hurt again...
Jacob looks at Carson with a death stare and laughs in his face.

"Haha very funny. You think you’re some kind of funny guy huh there Jacob. I’m just gonna assume that wasn’t a threat and let that one slide."
Carson looked over at William James who had been quiet for a while. He then returned his attention to Jacob.
"But yeah, I’ll answer your question. I returned to the ring because I missed being here. Having an injury sucks because you never know if you will return or not. I got lucky to be one of the ones that are able to return to my sport. Besides I was just getting started back when I wrestled elsewhere. It was time to pick up where I left off trying to be one of the best wrestlers around. So that’s my reason for returning." |

Alright, Alright. It's a good enough reason....ehh...I guess...
I missed being around here, too, but you know what happens when things go bottom up. You get stuck wondering what you're going to do next. I absolutely hated the two years I was gone from the business. I hated being away from the friends and fans, but now that I'm back, it all seems to have gone away. The friends I had have all, except William, here.
Jacob pats William on the shoulder to acknowledge his still silent presence in the conversation.
Everyone except for him has gone soft. They're just a bunch of hypocrites and a discredit to their foundations. And the fans just don't seem to appeal to me anymore. They're fickle and will turn on you in a heartbeat. I just can't stand the sight of all those people who sit in those seats and pay to watch these so called wrestlers ..these actors... try their hardest to please them every single time they go out there. Where's all the great wrestling? It's lost in the wasted words of the crowd pleasers who don't have a clue what wrestling is like anymore. I'm sick and tired of all of this shit. What is your input? Like it even matters anymore.

Before WJ could answer Carson's question, the two men were
joined by a familiar face, in WJ's eyes, in one Jacob Stevens.
Listening to the conversation between these two men,
WJ thought about that reason why he did return to GCW.
With a break in the conversation, WJ speaks...
"Good to see you, Stevens. It sure has been a while."
He pauses a minute, then continues...
"As for my return here, nothing more than just a challenge to myself, really.
The talent pool here seems pretty decent.
Some old foes that I'd like to challenge again.
Some that I have yet to challenge.
Opportunity presented itself, so I returned.
Just to see if I still have it, I guess."
WJ stands silent between the two men,
then looks to Stevens, and continues...
"Hope that contract clears itself up for you, Stevens.
It would be great to work with you again.
Maybe, continue what we were gonna start in Ohio,
before it's demise?"

"Hmm… The fans will turn on you?"
Carson couldn’t help to let out a small chuckle after hearing those words. He continued on with what he was saying.
"It’s funny how people say that it’s the fans that turn on them. Haha I don’t know what your case is but you can’t really expect them to cheer for ya’ when ya’ pretty much suck. Don’t get me wrong here, there are some heels out there that I great wrestlers and I very much respect them but seriously man, it’s you that’s turning on the fans. They got nothing to do with it. Now we’ll move onto the next topic. You think what we do out there is acting? If ya’ really think that then maybe you should rethink why you are here. What I do out there and pretty much anyone else IS wrestling. There is no acting involved man. Maybe what you do in the ring is acting but not me. You are pretty much confusing what you do in the ring with what everyone else does. Here in the GCW we are wrestlers man. If you don’t think that then you better start walking and finding yourself another business. You wanted my input so there it is." |

Jacob ignores Carson for the moment, and turns his attention to James.
Yeah, it would definitely be great to restart what we were doing in Ohio. Nothing like it in this place as far as I can tell.
Then he turns to Carson and addresses his opinions.
As for you, Carson, you're just kidding yourself. Nothing I saw in any of your matches, and I have been watching you too, has been real wrestling. I mean, seriously? I'm only 20 years old, and I've seen a whole hell of a lot more wrestlers with more talent than you in my two years in and out of the wrestling world. Now, you, however, are free to think what you want to think. So, in reality, my input right now doesn't matter to you, does it? I guess we'll just have to wait and see if any of this gets through to you in your next match, won't we?
Jacob turns to walk away, then looks back at William James one more time.
Hit me up later and we'll talk about what we were doing in Ohio. It'd be great to catch up with you, James, and believe me, I want to talk about what we could start here in the GCW world.
With that, Jacob turns and walks away from the conversation. Carson was lucky that Jacob was cool tonight because if he hadn't been, Carson would have been laying in a pool of his own blood and sweat.

With that said Carson turns away from Jacob who had just walked around the corner. He looks over at William James then looks away. Without saying anything to William, Carson walks away from the scene. He was placed in a dark match later that night he had just found out. He didn’t know who his opponent would be but in time he will find out. |
