CHICAGO _ __ With Crymson's generous gift in hand Brody Tucker began her reconnaissance of the GCW gym. She'd showed up early in the morning with even more research, notes and burning questions for her coveted interview. She'd spent some time taking notes on her surroundings. Sure, a cell phone photo would have caught some of the details but the clanking of weights and the smell of sweat would make great color in the final piece. She leaned back against the wall next to a drink machine – the only place where she wasn't in the way – and kept up the waiting game. With patience she knew she'd clinch it.

Another day has started, another day has past as the new one begun. Another day less that parts Ashley from her final confrontation with Jennifer Drew. Another day closer to finally end the drama that is called Jennifer Dew … ANOTHER DAY closer to retrain the title. But it is also the start of another day filled with training and cause of this Ashley woke up as early as usual to hit the gym. Something which has turned in a daily routine for her since she got informed that she would have to face Drew at the first PPV of the upcoming season.
“Yawn … I hate this shit.”
Ashley says to herself as she enters the gym with a tired look on her face. She should have gone to bed earlier but … Brock is in town so she got better things to do as to sleep if ya know what I mean. Anyway she enters the gym and slowly walks over to the lockers to open hers and get started to dress up for training.

Brody followed right behind Ashley at once looking for every idiotic Maureen Dowd-ish detail in her appearance. She'd decided to dress down a bit for the day with a t-shirt, jeans and a blazer but she still looked a little out of place in a gym. You'd never know it from the way she stepped right up with a nice casual, “Long night, huh?”

“Hm? …”
Ashley turns her head around and looks at the woman who has stepped up to her. Another unknown face in the gym, as if Ashley would actually care who is in the gym or not as long as she can train in peace without the need to go back into kayfabe cause stupid bitches show up that work in GCW as wrestler. Slipping out of her shirt, she grabs a t-shirt and pulls it on while she continue to change in her training clothes.
“Yeah sort of.”

“I figure you're used to it though, right? I mean get up, go to the gym, get on a plane, go to the hotel, go to the show, come home, rinse, repeat and squeeze life in the middle, right?” She laughed a little at her sharing the career woman's blues. “I know you have a lot more stuff to deal with than anyone here. That's why I'm going to ask if you're up for one more? I promise it'll be easy.”

Ashley just scratch her forehead while she continues to dress up for her training. A confused look appears on her face as she shakes her head and ask …
“Who you are you by the way?”

So the dance ended. The prove you're a decent sort of person and not some idiot shoving a microphone in someone's face period was done. “Brody Tucker.” she said handing a business card over. “I'm writing a piece on GCW for Pulse Magazine. I'd really love to have a few words with you if I can, maybe more if I you're willing. I am picturing you as the star of the show when it gets to print.”

Ashley takes the business card in her hands and takes a quick peek at it. “Brody Tucker.” ... “Pulse Magazine” Is written on the card. Appears as if Miss Tucker over there might be exactly that what she says she is and Reporter. God damn it … that type of people are even worse as Jennifer Drew can ever be. That type of people can make you look like a fool and you are not able to do anything against it. You can’t even beat them up if they write bad about you. But at least Ashley can do one thing for now. Work with her, try to get a positive feedback and stay in Kayfabe all the time.
With a smile on her face she puts the card in her pocket and offers her hand for a shake.
“Nice to meet you then Miss Tucker. “
“Ohm you said something about an interview, right? And me being the star of the show?”
Clever start “Well obvious you got your information’s from the right place as I am indeed the top female wrestler in GCW, even when there are many fans and wrestlers that think otherwise.”

“No doubt about it. It's all about the stability, you know? It's all chaos for the men right now, but you.. . you Debutantes are going to roll right out with all the old favorites from all over the place on the first night. And you're the foundation of the division and this story.” She said, clearly going through a rehearsed sales pitch. “I want to be around as you get closer to Exodus. Watch you train, see what you have to do to get ready for a big show like this, stuff like that.”
“But we can talk about the details later.” She reaches into her jacket pocket and pulls out a small digital audio recorder and starts getting all this down. “Right now I'd love to hear a little about your training process. Do you have any special routines going into a main event and are you doing anything different to get ready for Jennifer?”

“Hm that is not easy to explain. I mean I have of course some training routines that I am following., but in general I tend to not focus to much at a special training exercise. It is very important if you have to deal with an opponent as Jennifer Drew is with a lot of unknown factors in the match itself. So you need to prepare yourself exactly for this … which results in a very intensive but still variables training plan. For an example I am doing in the morning more the basic training. A but running, a bit gymnastic, stretching and weightlifting. Pretty basic, but just the right thing to shake the sleep off that tries to hunt me in the morning.”
Ashley laughs about the last part and reach for one of her water bottles to drink from it.

“I guess keeping it flexible is the way to go in these matches since I'm sure the competition is doing the same thing just to make sure they've got all their bases are covered. I guess since we're building a little rapport here I should get through the hardball questions up front, alright?” There was no wavering or apologizing in her face. She looked like she was trying to tear the bandage off fast instead of letting her endure each follicle coming out at the root.
“Most of what really hooks people on your show is the psychological game. The way you ladies really get inside each other's heads going into a match. From what I can tell you're really into that kind of thing. The city police blotter had an incident just recently in this gym. I did some checking and people said it was you, Jennifer and that singer Deirdre Hahn.” said Brody, her face turning red at the mention of that name.
“Ugh, Deirdre. It's really embarrassing but Carrie, my editor over at Pulse, says we look a little alike. I don't see it though, what with the hair and the glasses and the lack of tattoos. Plus, even though she's putting on the whole down-to-earth punk rock icon bullshit I'll bet you she's had some surgery.” she said commiserating. That was the goal at least. Point out how fake Deirdre was. Make it seem like she was asking for it just by virtue of being so damn inauthentic.
“Nose job, strategic lipo, maybe even some implants over her little break if she's really serious about making it in the music industry.” she said, pointing out some of her own less than perfect features.
“Sorry about the digression there. What made you track her down in the first place and do you think you've done a good job softening Jennifer by going after her?”

“Well if I have to be honest about the whole situation that involve Deirdre and Drew then I can only say that this wasn’t my fault. It wasn’t my fault that I had to take matters in my own hands to secure that I stay the champion. It wasn’t my fault that I had used Deirdre as a, let us call her victim, to soften up Jennifer emotional at such a huge scale that I was able to break her fighting spirit, with the result that she lost the match. I mean It wasn’t really not my fault that I had to do that … if anybody could be blamed then its Jennifer and Deirdre.”
A smile appears on Ashley face as she speaks out the last sentence.
“Its their fault, because they made it so easy for me to find out about their close relationship. I mean I just had to look at Drew’s official website and at her profile or better said biography. She clearly states there that Deirdre is one of her closest friends and at the Link section of Jennifer’s site there was a link to Deirdre’s official website as well. You see it was quite easy to find out between the connection of them … the rest was simple as well. I found out via the internet who was in their class as well, contacted them, told them I was writing about their famous class mates and that I want to get more info about the two.”
“It was so easy and yes the whole thing with Deirdre did indeed a very good job to soften up Jennifer. As I side note I might want to add that Deirdre can be happy that Drew stepped between the two of us, otherwise this girl might have gotten beaten up really badly by the hands of mine.”

“Alright,” she said, a little uncomfortable with the answer “That all makes sense. But I guess the next question is where does it end? Is she still a target if she comes here? Are you still actively pursuing her going into the match? And is this the kind of thing anyone who faces you for the title has to expect?”

„She is not a target ... its even worse. Deirdre is a victim. A victim of circumstances, a victim who has to pay for the sins of her best friend. So if she ever decides to step in my way again, try to interfere in a match or just show up backstage … well lets put it this way. It will be her biggest and her last mistake she ever did. I mean this is a rough business and to stay on top you can do it with 2 different ways. Either you fight every day, everybody, whenever they walk up to do … or you can do it my way. Prevent them from even what to challenge you for the title, because they know that bad things will happen.”

“Thanks. I think that's exactly what I needed.” Luckily for her the champ seemed pretty media savvy, what with her offering up perfect quotes like that. It meant they could take a break from the heavy stuff. “I may have to come back to that later if they want a little clarification but let's drop it for now OK?”
“I'm sure you want to get to your training and I'd kind of like to watch you. Maybe ask you some fun stuff like when Mr. Nedermayr is going to put an engagement ring on your finger. You don't mind me following you around a little building up to the match, right?” she said, the whole piece riding on her being able to live with the subject for a little while. “Just for business stuff, training, commercial shoots, appearances, unless you want me there for other things. Sound good?”
