It was a regular day like any other day. Just your typical Chicago day in this cold weather. Jin Remmy was walking through a local public park in the city. He wasn't there alone. He had little Tequila with him. The three year old child held onto her father's hand tightly as they walked across the sidewalk. Jin made sure to bundle her up tightly for this weather. Making sure she had a nice warm jacket, mittens, and a scarf to keep her from freezing in this weather. The two had been out and about all day. Jin wanted to make sure he picked up things he'll need before the second season started for GCW. He carried various bag in his free hand, holding such things as clothes, food, and other necessities he'll need to take care of Tequila. Jin figured he'd better get an early start on this. Once the season starts for GCW, Jin's going to be away from Tequila from time to time. Spending his time working out in the gym, promoing, getting ready for matches, the actual matches themselves, and other various activities that might require his attention. He hated being away from his daughter, but someone has to make the money here. Apparently child raising was too hard for whoever the mother of Tequila was. Being a single parent and a father to a daughter has been quite a headache for him. Jin wouldn't have it any other way though. He loved his daughter and was going to be damned if he wasn't going to take care of her. He looked down at the little girl as they walked. A smile spread across his face.
It was peaceful days like this that made all the back breaking hard work that he spent putting in the ring worth it. Jin would go out night after night and put it all on the line if it meant that he was going to rise through the ranks. He'd do it to get that raise in his pay check as he became a bigger draw for the company. With that higher pay, it would only further secure the well being of not only himself, but the well being of Tequila too. It was peaceful days like this that made all the drama worth it. A laugh escaped Jin as he began to shake his head. Thinking of how carefree he was prior to Tequila showing up on his door step. He didn't miss those days. He's had to slow down on his crazy lifestyle for this little girl. He wouldn't change it at all. The little girl looked up at her father with a puzzled look on her face. She didn't know what was so funny that it was making him laugh.
Tequila: "Why you laugh daddy?"
"It's nothing, Te'."
Tequila: "Can I play? In the snow?"
The two paused for a moment in their tracks. Jin thought for a moment about whether or not it was a good idea for Tequila to play in the snow. He looked around at the snow around them. It seemed clean enough. He didn't want to deprive his daughter of having any fun. There was nothing major that he needed to get to today. He nodded his head and said to Tequila...
"Sure. Why not? Don't go too far."
Tequila: "Okay!"
The little girl released her tight grip from her father's hand and began to take small steps over to a big pile of snow that has been formed into a hill. Jin made sure to stand close by in case she needed him. He stuffed his hands into his pockets to keep them warm as the bags he had were strung across his forearm. Jin thought Tequila was so cute as she tried climbing up the hill. Shaking his head slowly, he laughed to himself slightly. As Jin watched Tequila play in the snow, he saw someone approaching him in his peripheral vision. He didn't look over to see who it was. Keeping his eyes on his daughter, he kept his ears open incase he was addressed. That someone who was approaching him was....

She didn't mind the cold, it didn't bother her too much, besides the snow was beautiful and where she comes from, there wasn't much of it even on the coldest of winters. She was bundled up herself, wearing a black parka that had some type of fur around the hood. She wasn't sure what fur, she didn't ask when she bought it. A red scarf around her neck, under the parka. Black winter pants, with a red stripe down each side, adorned her legs as she well as calf high boots to keep any stray snow from making its way to her feet as she marched through the snowy park. She was of course, as her civilian self, Isadora Valentine, on this day. There was no danger around, yet, but regardless, once night fell, she would head home and change and begin her patrol of the night, to keep the city safe.
Regardless of that, she had the hood up, to keep the wind from her face, and her hands stuff in the pockets of the parka, to keep warm. She breathed in and out slowly as she walked. The park wasn't exactly vibrant with life on this cold winter day. In the summer kids would be running around and playing, couples, young and old, walking or sitting on the benches scattered around it. Not so much that scene now. Very little people were here on this day. She turned her head to the side slightly as she walked, a laughter made its way to her ears, so, she wanted to see where it was coming from. A small child was playing in the snow, trying to climb a hill and just overall having fun. She smiled to herself. That was one of the reason's she became a super hero, so children could play safely and enjoy their young lives, not live in fear of evil people.
Turning her head back to see where she was going, she noticed a man, who was watching the girl. Obviously had to be her father. The man looked familiar. She could have sworn she saw him in Global Championship Wrestling when she herself was there for a very brief stint, or perhaps she saw him there after she had left the company. Either way, he definitely had a familiar look about him. Once within a few feet of range she came to a stop, turning her head once more to look at the girl play before she looked back at the man. She didn't quite know, what to say. But it didn't matter.
"Hi there. Pretty cold today, huh?"
Wasn't the best thing that she could have said, but it was relevant, as the two, well, technically, three, counting the small child, were out in the weather.

Jin looked over at the woman who had joined him and Tequila. He wasn't quite sure if he recognized her. Something told him that he had seen her somewhere some place before at some time. But for the life of him, he couldn't quite put his finger exactly on what that was. Guess he'll have to keep that little deja vu moment in mind if this progresses any further beyond just a simple "Hello." Smile still on his face, he began to nod his head while preparing to answer her question. Drawing in a deep breath and exhaling a sigh. His breath visible in the cold air. He then responded...
"Hey. Heh... Yeah... It's one of those days today. That's what you got to expect when it comes to winter. Heh... Wish this weather would hurry up and be done with already."
His eyes were drawn back to his daughter Tequila. She was trying her best to climb onto the hill of snow that's been built up. The young three year old was managing to get herself up the hill. Jin kept an eye on her incase she needed him. He didn't want her to fall down, slip, or get hurt. Tequila managed to finally make it to the top of the snow hill. A joyful smile stretched across her face as she looked over at her father. Raising both of her small arms up into the air for victory. She yelled out to her father...
Tequila: "Look at me! Look at me!"
Jin laughed to himself at the display of his daughter. He pulled his hand out from his pocket and waved to Tequila.
"Hahahaha... I'm watching."
Tequila: "Weeee! *giggle*"
Tequila knelt down on the hill she stood ontop of, beginning to scoop up some snow into her small hands. Jin's attention turned back to the woman standing beside him. Gah... Where exactly did he know her from? The thought was bugging him. Hmm... Let's keep this conversion rolling. Maybe we'll figure it out. Jin nodded his head and spoke to the woman again...
"How simple life is when you're a child. It's the little things that used to bring us such joy. Hahahaha... Those were the days. Oh, how rude of me. I didn't even introduce myself. The name's Jin Remmy. That little bundle of joy over there is my daughter Tequila. What's your name?"

She listened intently as Jin talked, all the while she kept an eye on young Tequila playing in the snow. Watching children have fun always brightened her up. She nodded a few times as Remmy spoke. She recognized the name for sure and was positive he was, or used to be, a GCW Superstar. She wasn't sure if he was still with the company or not. She turned her head back to face Remmy once he asked her of her name, of course she was looking up slightly.
"Isadora Valentine."
She smiled as she said her name, it was only right to say her last name as he had said his. She could have went and said her full name, but who wants to hear a bunch of middle names? She disliked having all of them, but in a way she liked them also. It gave her a uniqueness. She pulled her left hand from her pocket and extended it towards Remmy.
"Its nice to meet you Jin."
She wasn't sure or not if he'd know of her or not. GCW was the only big company she ever worked for and it only lasted for a month, maybe two. Besides GCW, she made appearances in various small feds. Indy feds if you will, that no one has ever heard of and would give you a blank stare, maybe a raised eyebrow, if you said the companies name. Ah, well, it didn't matter really.

"Isadora Valentine... Interesting."
That name... Why did it sound so familiar? A name like that isn't necessarily the kind of name that you forget too easily. It's not some common name you hear all the time. He had a vague idea of where he might have heard that name before. Maybe he caught it in a late night partying around Chicago. He wasn't quite sure where exactly he heard the name at, but he was sure he heard it before. Might've been a long time ago or maybe he's confusing her with someone else. He wasn't exactly sure. Jin extended his hand out to meet Isadora's. Taking a firm grip, shaking it briefly, and then releasing. Nodding his head with a smile still on his face, he said...
"It's nice to meet you too, Isadora."
He stuffed his hand into his pocket and pondered his thoughts briefly. Has he met her somewhere before? Has he seen her somewhere before? Maybe it was somewhere on the internet? Maybe he caught some random video of her from something? Gah... Maybe he should just ask some questions and get to know her? It would sure save this from becoming one of those awkward silence moments and things would begin to get weird. Think of something to say Jin. Think. What's there to say about? Erm... Thinking quickly, only one thing came to mind...
"You have any of your own...? Children, I mean. Heh... You have any?"
Probably not the best ice breaker to come up with. Hahaha. Ice breaker. It probably wasn't the best thing to say, but he was here with his daughter. It's the first thing that popped into his head to say. He awaited an answer as he looked back over at Tequila still having her fun in the snow.

Just as Remmy had done after the handshake, she had placed her hand back inside the warmth of the parka's pocket. As silence filled the air, her gaze returned to the child, Tequila, playing in the snow of the park. Having fun, not a care in the world of anything going on around her or in other countries. Those were good times. Of course, if you asked some people, she herself was still a kid in her mindset. When Remmy asked his question, she reluctantly took her gaze off the child playing and looked to him.
"Children? As much as I love children, I don't have any of my own."
It was the truth. She didn't have kids. That's not to say she never thought about having any, because, well she did. She took another look at Tequila and then back at Jin. Kids were adorable, and she loved being around them, so, of course, naturally, she'd love to have one or two of her own some day.
"You've got quite the beautiful little girl. How old is she?"
She wouldn't have guessed Tequila to be older than four, at the very least. She was a bad judge of age, at least with adults, with children, it became a tad easier to guess at their age.

That made Jin smile. Tequila was a beautiful child. Looked just like her father. Can't necessarily say anything else on the other side of the equation. He nodded his head as he watched Tequila playing in the snow. Then he looked over at Isadora and said..
"Thank you. She is a beautiful girl. She is... I think... I believe that she's three years old."
Jin turned to Isadora. He leaned in to talk to her quietly. Not wanting Tequila to hear about the things that Jin was about to tell Isadora. He felt like Tequila was too young to handle the kind of situation that she was in. What three year old child would be able to handle the thought that her mother didn't want her? What child would be able to handle that they were left on someone's doorstep instead of with their mother? Sure. Jin was the father and Tequila had a parent looking after her. Still, it's not the same as those having both parents.
It's kind of complicated to explain, but I've taken her to a doctor to figure it out. Since I thought it would be the most logical way to figure it out. The doctor said three years old, so that's what I'm going with. Need to come up with a birthday plan, cause can't let her go without having a birthday. It's a really, really complicated situation."
Standing back from Isadora, his eyes turned back to focus on Tequila. Young Tequila was packing snow together. Attempting to make herself a snowman by herself. It make Jin laugh.
"Don't know where she got her good looks from. It sure wasn't my ugly mug that did it. That's for sure. Heh, heh... Yeah."

"So she's... I see."
She didn't ask further. She could figure it out on her own. Jin not fully knowing the girl's age, or her birthday for that matter, definitely counted out the fact that the mother died giving birth. She didn't want to judge the mother. Perhaps times were way too rough for her or something but still... Abandoning a child, whether leaving them with someone or not, was... Villainous to her. She wasn't sure how the doctors could determine age. She knew nothing of medical practices, though, she assumed it had something to do with teeth or something.
"Well, at least she's out of the terrible two stage. Hehe. I think if you survived through that, you're good to go as a parent."
Just a bit of humor. She was always told that the worse year as a parent was in the child's second year. She didn't know if it was the truth or not, but maybe Jin had heard it as well, and it'd give him something to chuckle about. Maybe?
"So, when is her birthday?"

The terrible twos. Oh yeah. That second year was supposed to be Hell for a parent. Things have been kind of hard on him as it was. Single parent, not knowing a single detail of Tequila's life, not knowing the mother... Yeah. It's been crazy. He's been managing though. As best as he could, can't say that he's an expert on the subject of child raising. A laugh escaped him, nodding his head.
"That's true. Hahaha... It has been kind of hard on me. I mean, she's a little girl... I'm a guy... I don't really know all the... girl things.... You know? Not trying to be rude or anything, but... Men and women are physically different in many ways... And well... I'm just fearing the days that she comes to me with questions about... stuff. You know...? As for her birthday..."
Jin looked up at the sky for a moment. Thinking of what a good day to choose for Tequila's birthday was. He shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. Not having a single clue as to when he should celebrate the birth of his child. Continuing on with...
"Well... Not exactly sure what the real day is... There wasn't really anything to go by, but a note claiming that she was mine. And obviously, on appearance and DNA testing, it's true. Didn't leave a birth certificate or anything, so..."
A smile formed on his face. He knew the day he should pick. It might not be the exact day she was born. Can't really figure that out since he's got literally nothing to go by. Not sure how he would go about figuring that out either. However, there was one date that stuck in his mind that he thought would suffice. The day that changed his life forever.
"I'm going to go with the day she arrived into my life. March 12th. I think that'd be a suitable choice in this kind of situation, right?"

She hadn't intended to get so caught up with conversation with Jin, but she wasn't complaining. Most of the time he was alone or to herself. Super hero work kept her busy. That, and if someone discovered her true identity... Well, villains would go after the people they knew she was close to. So, a lot of the time she chose to withdraw herself from people. Though, an occasional chit chat every now and then never hurt.
"March 12th sounds nice, and it definitely works for the given situation. As long as she has one, that's all that matters. She can enjoy the day, and of course, the main thing, get tons of presents. So, she'll be getting some presents in about a month and some odd weeks time, huh? Hehe. Awesome."
She giggled slightly. Come on. To kids, that's the main reason for a birthday, to get presents. Same with Christmas. Presents, presents, presents. Well, any normal child. As they got older, they would understand more the meaning of Christmas, but... birthday's meant presents. Period. And money from relatives and family friends that didn't know what to get you. And now to ask something not related to children or presents at all!
"Do you live in Chicago or are you just visiting?"

Jin laughed at the thought of how happy Tequila would be having her first birthday with him. He was going to make sure that Tequila was going to be the happiest little girl in the whole universe on that day. He nodded, watching his daughter play in the snow. The thought alone brought him joy.
"Yeah. I've got to be get her something special. Hahaha... That'll be fun."
He turned his attention to Isadora as he paused. A little smirk forming on his face.
"I live in the city. Originally, I am from St. Louis, Missouri, but I've moved to Chicago for my job."
Shaking his head at the thought of his job. Gah... The people he has to deal with in GCW. He should have expected the kinds of people he was going to meet getting into this line of work. Jin wasn't complaining about it thought. It only made it that much more enjoyable to tick off as many people as he could just for kicks.
"I work as a wrestler for a company called Global Championship Wrestling and that's based here in Chicago. I go out night after night and talk a little trash. I bust my hump smacking some lame prima donnas around for a little while. Collect my checks and have my fun. Hahaha... Now I'm fighting for two though, so I've got to work twice as hard. How about you Isadora? You live in the city or just visiting?"

"Ah-ha! I knew I recognized you from somewhere! ...I just didn't want to bring it up that you looked familiar. That would have sounded like a stalker line or something."
With a chuckle she removed a hand from her pocket, reaching it up and moving the hair out of her that seemed to crawl its way from out of the hood with the constant movement of her head.
"Hmm... Nah, I don't live here. I'm just visiting really. Just came from Seattle. Can't say I live there either. Pretty much just traveling. Guess you could say I'm looking for a place to live."
She did travel the country. saving peoples lives. Fighting crime. You name it. A real life, honest to God, super hero, just like out of the comic books that kids, and even adults, read. She didn't have a home, a set place to protect. So, in a way, she wasn't completely lying, she was looking for that special place to protect.

"Hahahaha... Awww... You're not going to be my stalker? Hahahaha..."
...Jin says, laughing to himself with a smile on his face. Of course, he was joking. Or was he? Yeah. He was. Or.... was he? No. Really. Jin was just joking. Or... WAS he? Okay. Enough. Would be better than the nutcases going around like 'zohmygoshlookitsjinremmyletsgethim' types. Shaking his head, he continued...
"Would be better to have someone like you as a stalker of mine than some crazed fangirl charging at me like she was one of those 'rage zombies' and glomping me to the concrete. Hahahaha... Can't tell you how many times my e-mail has been blown up by fans freaking out about how much they're in love with me and all that jazz. It's a lot different than just a casual "Hey. I'm a fan. And you're super cool!" kind of e-mails. Guess the crazy nuts in this world need someone to obsess over. Hahahaha..."
Jin just shrugged his shoulders. Can't blame a crazed stalker fan for liking who they like. His eyes stayed on Tequila, as he paused for a moment. Nodding his head, his attention returned to Isadora while his eyes stayed on Tequila.
"Besides that... This city is pretty decent. I'd recommend it, but then again, that's just cause there's plenty for myself to do out here in Chicago while I'm here. I don't know where your interests lie and if this is the city for you. I guess that'd be a decision that you'd have to make on your own. So, how 'bout it? Have you enjoyed your visit here in Chicago so far or has it been kind of 'bleh' to you?"
