"Ugh..." she grunted, letting her door slip shut behind her. Claire's suite was still quite empty, as she hadn't gone to have any of her furniture and belongings sent to her from her heated storage unit yet. If, knowing Cadavre's games, they still existed. Her nose shrivels up at the thought of that hopefully-ghost's name, shrugging it from the forefront of her mind. She had the basics. A single couch, a bed. Her laptop with a Blu-ray player. She did, however, make note to make the call to have the movers start moving in her hopefully still existing belongings into her suite later on this evening. Sighing, she dropped the bags on the breakfast bar, grabbing her charging laptop and plopping down on the couch for a few seconds before hitting the shower following her snow crazed shopping day. "I sure hope that Brody doesn't get me busted with that card..." she muttered to herself, opening the computer and watching the screen flicker to life. Running her finger over the mouse pad, she double taps the icon on her Outlook folder, watching the program load and sending for her e-mail. Scrolling down, as she had everything sorted by name, not date to be displayed when the inbox opened, she scrolled past the normal spam. Once she got to the "E" area, she stops for a second, reading a few of the previews, with the subject heading saying: "New E-Harmony Matches for Claire87A." "Claire, you must be crazy for doing this..." she double clicked on one email, hitting the reply button after reading it over a few times and thinking about not clicking it twice as many times. A fitness instructor, just outside of Chicago, that lists he's a gymnastics coach for the University of Illinois. At least he seemed to have things in line for him, right? "It'll probably never work anyways..." She scrolled through a few more emails, laughing at the white idiot trying to look "gangsta" in his picture in another E-harmony email before closing the laptop shut. Leaning back in the couch, feeling the leather consume her as her weight presses against it, she lets out a small groan. The cold ran a truck on her thigh where she'd been impaled early last month. It was insane to think she was almost medically cleared from such a wound, but that was the way she healed. The wind whipping around outside sent in a slight, cold breeze toward her. "Okay, that's it!" she cried, pushing herself off of the couch and heading to her room, grabbing a towel and heading straight into the warm shower.

"Phew!" The slight warm up of the past few days was a godsend to Claire. The freezing cold, she could feel it penetrating the scar almost... even if she was way inside the damn building or in the Fitness Center's freakin' hot tub! But, anyways. Claire finally returned to her suite. It was a big day. Step one? She'd called the movers. Her stuff should start arriving tomorrow. This was good. Step two? She just got done delivering a letter to Amanda Wallace's desk. That letter contained her medical clearance. One week to go before Exodus and she was A-Ok. Granted, she may have some ring rust since she hasn't had a chance to do too much training... but that was what the gym was for, right? There was a ring in there... maybe she could get someone to come in with her to work on a few drop toe holds and stuff. Flying through the air came effortlessly and naturally for Claire anyways, and that is what the bulk of her offense was anyways.
She dropped down on her couch, excitedly double clicking her email, drumming her fingers on the arm as she waited for the laptop to load up Outlook. "Come on..." she said, impatiently, before the eternity that was five seconds almost was over and the program had loaded, fetching her emails. Ted was his name, and they were just about now to the "Open Communication" stage of emailing back and forth off of E-Harmony. It'd felt like a long time since she'd actually felt connected to someone, and not just used, or whatever that fucked up situation with Dayna was when Claire must not have had her head screwed on straight to even get into that situation in the first place. Not to mention Mikhail was left with VWE when it closed... yet another sad instance to that day.
This, however, looks like it's breaking sunlight through those clouds. She reads over his answers, before submitting her own to them. Written answers to questions. She's sure to add a little note about the "sooner he opens Open Communication, the better" at the end of her last question so he'll see it, and closes the lid to her laptop. It felt great being excited about something, after the dismal year that was last year and the joke that her past relationships or turned to be, or the abrupt ending of the only one that felt right. It gave her something more to look towards.
Claire was a girl who'd been on the streets until she luckily fell into the business in a small town in Ohio. Sort of on her own part though, as the situation she lived in was absolutely horrible. Through there, she only put her focus on her career. It worked great in the in-ring accolades, but the second year... it all just fell apart. A learning experience in it all trying to juggle a career and a life... and neither went too well from the choice she's made. Hence why now, she's playing it safe. And hoping all the more that it turns out absolutely perfect in the end.
Her daydream ends as she looks over at the clock on the small table. It was mid-afternoon. Perhaps she could find someone down in the Fitness Center that could be up for some sparring? She goes into her room, removing her shirt as she walks down the hall, intending on finding out. Just needs to find her gym clothes... which would probably be easier if she put away her laundry that she'd cleaned in the morning...

"What a day, what a day..." she quietly murmured to herself, walking back into her suite. She casually dropped off her duffel bag onto the couch, and walking into her now fully furnished bedroom. It was great to finally have all of her stuff here. It sure beat sleeping on the couch in front of the TV all night. She dropped back onto her bed, feeling her sore back soothe itself from the miles walked back from her little chosen training area for the day. She'd been frequenting between there and the GCW fitness area, just to give her mind something new to focus on for a few other days in the past weeks. She didn't want the place to become stale, you know?
Sitting up, she arches her back, bending toward her knees as her feet dangle off of the bed. A few pops can be heard as she rolles forward a tad, then back, fully seated, yawning. "I swear, first, comfortably long sleep I've had in a few weeks, and I'm more tired now than when I slept on the couch..."
Scanning the room, she looks over at the blinking yellow light on her laptop. Still powered on, it was showing the connection to the wireless internet within the building. So, rolling over to her stomach, she grabs the device, pulling it onto her bed with her. She sets it on top of a pillow, and opens it. Her feet lightly kick behind her, staying up in the air as she checks her email while laying on her stomach. Seeing an E-harmony comminication received, she could only assume that it was Ted's. It was finally to the stage where they email back and forth, and she'd sent one back to him last night before going to bed. Logging in, she starts to read:
-Hey, Claire. Yeah, coaching at the university has been pretty fun. It is my third year there. I'm still an assistant, but one day I can probably get the head coaching job. Isn't going to pay as much as the football programs or nothing, but the money isn't everything LOL.
It is pretty cool that you are a bit of a gymnist yourself. Still practicing? Most anybody I have met these days say they used to do it as kids, so it was amazing to me that I found somebody that is still in the sport and not years out of it. Well, that isn't in the Olympics or in college, that sort of thing. Maybe one day you can show me what you can do?
Of course, it probably goes in hand in hand with what you do. I'd love to know what kind of performer you are, since all that you did give me was "Not Exotic" in parentheses after it. Stage? Dancing? Or maybe I can just ask you that when we finally meet up? Like, say, for dinner next Saturday?
Hope to hear from you soon, Ted -
"Kinda wonder what he'd say to me saying I'm a wrestler..." she wondered aloud. She hadn't told him that, because she was kind of shying away from it. She'd heard so much bad things of those that were in this profession and the relationships that come with it, considering they were married to their jobs. Especially after her car accident and injury, she started to wonder if she wanted to be married to a job, or to an actual man? More or less, when to start thinking about that?
Considering she had more near-death experiences than she cared to count, for Claire, she thought the sooner, the better. Hence why she joined this site during her recovery. Hence, this current discussion with the first person on here that she's let get this far. Hitting the reply button, she starts to type her reply, wanting to get one in before she goes to the shower.
