The wrestling scene in the entire state of Washington wasn't as competitive as one may assume. It was laid back, sincerely local, and if you wanted to make a name of yourself, then it probably would have been best to travel south towards California. Nevertheless, Shelby wasn't looking to make a name for herself, she didn't want a hectic work schedule, and...she didn't want another taste of the limelight she had only sampled less then eight months before. At least, for now. It wasn't like people didn't recognize her, Shelby's time spent on GCW was enough for a few local fans to ask for an autograph, something she was more then happy to do. A few hours away from her home in Highland, Shelby was backstage at a small Seattle independent show, The Pacific Northwest Fight League, or PNFL for short. They traveled throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and sometimes Montana, even though Montana isn't actually recognized as being a member of the Pacific Northwest statehood. They had contacted Shelby a month or so after her departure from GCW, and she had been wrestling a few shows a month for them for the past four. Her role wasn't necessarily to win, dominate, or showcase her technicality, but to instead push upcoming talent, and help polish their in-ring abilities. It was a position she was used too, and something she didn't mind doing. Plus, with the added 'stardom' from her GCW Debutante title reign, it helped put some people in seats, which was always a plus, especially for the company. Sitting on a red plastic chair backstage, her feet planted squarely on the floor, and her arms looped down between them, she relaxed her shoulders, and began rolling her neck. She felt relaxed, rested, and ready for whatever was going to occur just moments from now. Closing her eyes, she jolted up from her seat, and began to jump up and down in place, still trying to loosen herself up before her scheduled match. "Alright Shelby," she said to herself, rolling her shoulders once more before kicking her knees up to help stretch them a bit, "Tonight you'll be great. Put on an awesome show, and maybe even show Lindsey the correct way to pull off a Butterfly Suplex." She smirked to herself as she began to imagine the situation in her head, because you see, Lindsey made this funny face whenever she was slammed hard against the ring mat. A mixture between the yellow M&M's reaction to the Green M&M's suggestive antics in those M&M Premiums commercials, and Sarah Chalk's face in every episode of Scrubs. It was unique to say the least. Throwing a few punches in the air, Shelby then draped the nearby towel over her shoulders and began to walk towards her destination until a particular someone caught her attention, (or was it the other way around?)

Oooooohh... aren't you the Maple Syrup girl.....The voice beckons out, a cry for help... a declaration of fun. L had escaped Gemini's prison like lab. If you asked her how, she'd tell you... she'd just have to kill you ... Part of a balanced breakfast..Stealing clothes was not an exact science. L looked like a normal person from the outside looking in, black boots, long tattered jeans, faded and worn. A undershirt with some mainstream logo those crazy kids find cool these days and a simple tank top over it. She felt somewhat dead inside, but she couldn't have walked stark naked into Victoria's Secret and looted it either. Why was she +all+ the way down here?.. Fun. You were that champion weren't you... Chicago's own farm team champ.. what are you doing down here princess? Do you just enjoy the thrill... oh... how rude of me~
My name is L.She bows in a half assed effort. If you had asked L's mind what she was planning, then tearing the maple leaf muscle's throat out and licking her clean would be at the top of her priority list. However... if L wanted to stay out of another lab and test tubes, she was going to have to blend in with society. Such a drab and suicidally depressing concept. She raises her head, her hazed over eyes stare at the performer before her. I'm... new here. That's one way of putting it. I just came down to.... have some fun..She squeezes her left hand firmly, balling it up for a second. The primal urges were +very+ hard to control. Part of her actually envied the +others+ for a second, being able to co-mingle and blend in... such a dark way of life. Yet, it provided them with endless entertainment~

From the perch of a forklift, its fork's being lifted high in the air of course, hung the local superhero that is The Bloody Valentine. A resident of the Midlands in South Carolina, but now traveling the country to help any and all in need. Her legs wrapped tightly around one of the prongs of the vehicle, hanging upside down, her hands pressed firmly against the prong, as if to try and give off an illusion that gravity had no meaning to her, her dark brown hair flowing down below her. She of course, wasn't in her civilian clothes. She was in her super hero outfit. A detailed white mask, much in the vein of Nightwing's, just, cooler, on her face, a white body suit with a design acting as a sort of blood splatter on the stomach, white on her right arm, red on her left. Adorning her legs were of course the fish net like hosing with the studded knee pads and white and red boots. She dared not wear a cape. Capes could be a Kryptonite, you know? A superhero getting caught in Jet engine = not fun.
"Hmm?"
Her large brown eyes surveyed the area around her. As a superhero, she had to be alert at all times. Danger was always around, even in the nicest looking of forms it was around. From her perch, she had watched Shelby do her little warm-up. That was always a smart thing to do before a match. Didn't need to be pulling any muscles after all, she watched her with a slight smile on her face, which exposed her vampire-like fangs slightly. The smile faded to a more serious look as some person that everyone's favorite superhero didn't recognize, had approached Shelby and began talking. Could she hear it? Of course she could hear it! She had highly trained ear's after all! She detected a lot of sarcasm in the person's voice, or at least, that's what it sounded like to her. But there was no evil in sarcasm, even super hero's of the past have used sarcasm when dealing with their villains. She didn't think this person was a villain, so, she wouldn't rush to any aid, instead, she hung from her perch and watched the scene unfold more.

Glancing away from Loveless, not taking her introduction to likely, Shelby shrugs to herself, and lets out a sigh. This character wasn't entirely there, she could tell, especially by the fact that she didn't even address her by actual name. Tugging the ends of the towel draped about her shoulders, she just gave her a smirk, Loveless was rude, so it was only right that Shelby did the same. Loveless knew who she was, knew some sort of history, and it was obvious that she was just trying to stir something up, something that she didn't want to be a part of. GCW was her past, and the moment, wasn't her future.
Walking past her, she continued on her way.

No response from Shelby to the unknown woman that addressed herself at L, instead, Shelby just walked right on by. The superhero watched intently from her perch. Rudeness for rudeness for... the win?

... Heh..
L grins under her breath. Ooooohh.... attitude. L liked that. She turns her head slightly, watching the haughty one with her clutched towel move on by. Fun was found in more ways than one you know. She runs her tongue around the top of her teeth, looking up a bit.
... Hmmmmm...
Somethings funny..
That was delightful.. I wonder who's going to end up snapping her in half.....
L cracks her neck, a heavy sigh. She couldn't partake in physicality here. It would draw to much attention. She couldn't follow the bottle brandished Canadian either. Same reason as above. It was odd... she wanted freedom, but the call of the +others+ was starting to sound so sweet. The best thing for now would be returning to GCW's base... find more fun...
.. But.... something inside of L just, didn't want to let that go. She leans against a near by wall, tilting her head back. Fitting in was not what she longed to do. Finding one's +place+ was not something she did well. Then again...
.. If I have to interact with people like that.... what's the point.. I could be having fun somewhere..
L mulls it over, it was annoying to think of rationality and logistics. She runs her fingers through her crimson hair before huffing out and turning an abrupt shoulder. Her footsteps starting shallow, ending in echos as she walks off. Why waste time chasing someone or thing who had no desire within themselves. Energy could be better spent elsewhere. Besides, L was certain... once she could go off to find her own fun...
The stereotypical helping hand would appear.

Still walking that she was. Shelby that is. Getting closer to the super hero's spot. She wasn't sure if she was heading out to her match just yet or not. She wasn't sure if it was time. She tightened her hand around the controls to the fork lift. Pressing her thumb down on the down arrow, the machine came to life with a slight rumbling growl as the fork lift slowly began to lower, she of course, held on for the ride, once it reached an adequate height, she stopped it. She was about eye level with the veteran when the machine came to a stop. She smiled warmly to the approaching woman. Still unsure if she was heading to her match or not, she figured she would say something towards the match anyway.
"Good luck out there, ma'am."
Superheros had to be formal in some way or another. She wasn't sure if Shelby was wed or not so calling her Miss Danes or Mrs. Danes could have been a mistake, so, ma'am of course would suffice in the situation. Right? Right!

Looking at the seemingly ecstatic hero, Shelby puts on a smile. As she approached, she could see the forklift falling, falling, and falling, and assumed that the masked super heroine probably wanted to do something, say something, or maybe predict something which may happen just fifteen minutes from now. SO! Shelby was mustering up different quick conversation topics in her head, none of which really seemed to hit that home stride, that perfect opener. Looking to her lower right, yet another method of her thinking charade, she finally arrived just at the forklift, and paused, waiting for it to takes it's course before finally finishing. And just as she was about to start the glorious greeting sequence, she was none other then interrupted by Valentine's own, very fast method of quick conversation. Without really having any other option but to reply, Shelby simply nods and replies with a simple... "Thank you."

"Not a problem."
With a smile she unwrapped her legs around the forklift and fell from it, turning in the air quite easily, landing on her feet gracefully, facing away from Shelby. The point of that? Why, none at al, she just wanted to get down from the for lift. She turned around to face the veteran from Canada. No eye contact. Ehehe... She tilted her head upwards to look at the woman, her smile still intact. Everyone was taller than her, but it didn't prevent her from saving people's lives, and even entertaining people in wrestling circuits around the country.
"...Forgive my absent mindedness, but I technically did not look at the match card for this evening. Who is your opponent for tonight's contest? Are you looking forward to said match?"

Trying to come off as completely modest, Shelby looks off to the side and takes a quick breath, "I'm facing Lindsey Snow tonight, and of course. I try and look forward to every match I have in that ring, especially when one of them is against one of my former students." That's right, another one of Shelby's students, Lindsey Snow, was set to face their teacher tonight. "It's been a couple years since we've last seen each other, so I'm hoping it will be a great reunion of sorts." She then runs a hand through her hair as she begins to self-flashback on of her memories, and smiles. "So, what brings a masked crusader to this rainy Seattle weather?"

"I'm here...."
That was a very good question. Why was she in Seattle? Sure, she was a cross country superhero, never sticking to just one place, but she had no real reason of being in Seattle. There was no danger around.
"Well, to be perfectly honest... I don't really have a reason. I was just passing through, saw there was going to be a show here and decided to stop in. I wrestle as well, when I have the time that is. Though, I arrived too little too late to get on board for this show, I can still enjoy the show by watching however."
She said that with a smile on her face as she gave a quick once over of the area. Why? Just a simple survey to ensure everything was fine, which it was.
"You said Lindsey Snow? I don't believe I've seen her in action yet, though if she's a former student of yours, she should be quite the athlete in the ring."
Student versus teacher was always a good match up. Similar styles, but not 100% the same, as the student would most likely add more to her style as her career moved onwards, and the teacher of course would get some new tricks as well.
